Previously on Yu-Gi-Oh: A Hell of a Journey...

Noa pulled off a stunning victory against the undefeated Klamath, thanks to a well-timed Magic Cylinder and a little help from his friend Marcus. Klamath's swarm of insects met their match, leaving the once-mighty duelist in disbelief.

Meanwhile, back at the Riya household, Noa's absence past curfew left his mom, Avangeleen, on the warpath, ready to deliver the punishment of a lifetime! Rebecca, however, was lost in her own world, twirling with her teddy bear who might just be more than a harmless toy.

And as the tournament heats up, what mysterious turn of fate has been working in Marcus' favor? Luck or something else entirely?

Stay tuned as the journey continues!

Cue edge lord music hmm... how about nah mabye more light hearted ah yes season zero of yugioh ost kawaita sakebi.

As the crowd's cheers finally began to die down, Yamma took the stage once more, his voice oozing with that familiar slimy enthusiasm. He adjusted his tie with a self-satisfied grin, clearly savoring every moment of attention.

Yamma: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, what a spectacle we've witnessed today! But don't you worry this tournament is far from over! Oh no, the REAL action is just beginning! You've seen fierce battles, unbelievable comebacks, and a few upsets that left us all breathless. But now, the duelists will get a short very short break to catch their breath because the next round of duels is just ONE week away!

He rubbed his hands together, practically drooling over the thought of what was to come.

Yamma: And oh, it's going to be one for the history books, folks! In just seven days, we'll see the next matchups, starting with our boy Marcus yes, that's right, the guy with the uncanny luck facing off against the ever-dangerous Cedar. And don't think for a second that Cedar's just going to let him breeze through. This is going to be a vicious battle!

The crowd murmured with anticipation, but Yamma wasn't done. His grin widened as he leaned into the microphone, his voice dripping with greed.

Yamma: But WAIT there's more! Oh, there's always more! I've got a little surprise for you all... A VERY special guest will be coming to witness these duels in person. You know him, you love him, and if you don't well, you clearly haven't been paying attention to this world of dueling! That's right, folks! The one, the only... Maximillion Pegasus himself will be gracing us with his legendary presence!

The crowd erupted into cheers at the mention of the creator of Duel Monsters, but Yamma's eyes gleamed, not with excitement for the game, but with the image of all the attention and money Pegasus' appearance would bring.

Yamma (whispering conspiratorially): "Oh yes, ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Pegasus isn't just any guest. He's here to witness the next round of duels with his own eyes. You know what that means, don't you? The stakes... they've never been higher. The attention... never greater! And for me? Well, let's just say the profits are about to skyrocket!"

He laughed a little too hard, stepping back from the microphone and composing himself.

Yamma: So get ready, folks! One week from now, the duels will resume, and with Maximillion Pegasus watching, everything is on the line. You won't want to miss this it's going to be a showdown for the ages!

As the crowd roared in excitement once again, Yamma stood tall, basking in the attention, his mind clearly on the money, as always.

As the announcement about Maximillion Pegasus echoed through the arena, Noa's excitement shot through the roof. His eyes lit up, heart racing at the thought of dueling in front of the legendary creator of Duel Monsters.

Noa (grinning): "Pegasus... is gonna be there. I can't believe it! This is it the big time! I could actually duel in front of him!"

Lost in his daydream, Noa imagined himself standing on the grandest stage, delivering the finishing blow in a climactic duel while Pegasus nodded in approval. The thought sent shivers down his spine.

But before he could lose himself completely in fantasy, Marcus gave him a solid nudge on the shoulder, snapping him back to reality.

Marcus (deadpan): Dude, you might wanna hold off on the victory parade. You're running late... again.

Noa's heart skipped a beat as the weight of those words sank in. His eyes widened in panic.

Noa: Oh no... oh NO!

His mind raced to the inevitable confrontation waiting for him at home. His mom, Avangeleen, already furious from his earlier curfew violation, would be beyond livid. He could almost hear her ominous laugh, already plotting his doom.

Noa (panicking): What am I gonna do?! I'm so dead! She's gonna destroy me!

Marcus smirked, clearly amused by his friend's predicament.

Marcus (shrugging): I mean, if you run fast enough, maybe you can dodge the worst of it. But you better hurry before she goes full muhahaha on you.

Without another word, Noa bolted for the exit, his mind consumed with fear and regret. As he sprinted, he couldn't help but think to himself

Noa (internally): This is gonna be worse than any duel I've ever faced! I'm so fucked .

And with that, the race against time and his mom's wrath had begun.

As Noa sprinted down the block, heart pounding in his chest, he frantically glanced at his watch.

Noa (panicking, muttering to himself): "Fuck, fuck, fuck... it's 11 PM! I'm so dead!"

His feet hit the pavement harder with each step, the fear of his mom's impending wrath fueling his speed. He could already imagine her anger building up like a ticking time bomb, ready to explode the moment he walked through the door.

Finally, he reached the house. He paused, catching his breath, and stared at the front door like it was the entrance to a dangerous dungeon. Maybe just maybe if he was quiet enough, he could sneak in unnoticed and avoid the inevitable punishment.

Noa (whispering to himself): Alright, just stay calm... don't make a sound...

Slowly, Noa turned the doorknob, cringing as it squeaked slightly. He tiptoed into the hallway, barely daring to breathe as he moved like a ninja. The house was dark and silent, not a single sound maybe, just maybe, he was in the clear.

But the second he stepped further into the living room, a soft click echoed through the room. The lamp in the corner flicked on, casting an eerie glow over the space.

Sitting there, in the chair like a James Bond villain, was Avangeleen, his mom. She sat with one leg crossed over the other, her hands clasped in her lap. The light cast long shadows over her face, but the cold, menacing stare was impossible to miss. Her expression was one of absolute calm, which somehow made it ten times scarier.

Avangeleen (voice chillingly calm): Noa... did you think you could just sneak in after breaking curfew?

Noa's blood ran cold. He swallowed hard, frozen in place.

Noa (stammering): "M-Mom, I can explain

She raised one finger, silencing him instantly.

Avangeleen (smiling like a Bond villain): Oh, I'm sure you have plenty of excuses. But don't worry... we'll have all night to talk about them. Muhahahaha.

Noa's heart sank. There was no escape. His worst fear had come true.

Noa (internally): I'm so dead...

Avangeleen: also do try to keep it down we have guest tonight muhahaha!!

Meanwhile, at a private airstrip in Japan…

The unmistakable sound of a jet touching down echoed through the night as Maximillion Pegasus' luxurious private plane made a smooth landing. Inside the cabin, Pegasus lounged in his plush seat, humming to himself as the credits of his favorite VHS tape Spice World rolled on the small screen in front of him.

Pegasus (humming): If you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends Ah, such timeless wisdom, don't you agree, Jhonny?

His assistant, Jhonny, stood nearby, clipboard in hand, clearly used to Pegasus' eccentricities by now. With a small sigh, Jhonny adjusted his glasses before glancing down at the schedule.

Jhonny: Of course, Mr. Pegasus. Truly… inspiring.

Pegasus stretched leisurely, sliding the VHS tape into his leather bag with almost childlike care, before turning to Jhonny with his signature smile equal parts charm and mischief.

Pegasus: Ah, that was refreshing! Now then, my dear Jhonny, what's on the agenda before our little visit to KaibaCorp tomorrow? I do love a well-planned day!

Jhonny, ever efficient, flipped through the clipboard.

Jhonny: Well, sir, before your meeting with Seto Kaiba, we have a few stops. First, there's an exclusive dinner tonight with Japan's top Duel Monsters investors. Then, we have a private tour of the Duel Museum, where they're displaying some very rare cards, including a few prototypes you created. After that, you've got a meeting with the marketing team for your upcoming anniversary set release.

Pegasus' eyes sparkled at the mention of rare cards, but he waved a hand dismissively.

Pegasus: Oh, meetings, meetings... how dreadfully dull! But the Duel Museum, you say? Now that sounds delightful! Perhaps I'll sign a few autographs, dazzle them with my charm, and take a peek at these so-called rare cards! Oh, it's going to be such fun, Jhonny!

He stood up, straightening his immaculate red suit, and strode toward the exit of the plane, cape billowing behind him in dramatic fashion.

Pegasus (grinning): "And then tomorrow ahh, Seto Kaiba. I can't wait to see what our dear boy is up to. I'm sure he's absolutely dying to know what I'm planning next. But first, let's focus on tonight's little amusements!

As the plane door opened and the cool night air of Japan greeted them, Pegasus turned back to Jhonny with a smirk.

Pegasus: Shall we, Jhonny? Let's make this evening one to remember. Spice up my life, as they say!

Jhonny, shaking his head but smiling despite himself, followed his exuberant boss down the stairs. It was going to be an interesting night, to say the least.

At an upscale, dimly lit restaurant in the heart of Tokyo...

A private booth was set aside for the KaibaCorp Big Five, five shadowy figures seated around a polished oak table, each man representing a powerful department within the corporation. They had been waiting for Maximillion Pegasus to arrive for quite some time, their patience growing thin.

In the meantime, across the room, Pegasus was entertaining a small group of Japan's top Duel Monsters investors. He twirled his wine glass lazily, leaning back in his seat with a devilish smile, effortlessly charming the crowd.

Investor #1 (laughing nervously): Mr.Pegasus, I must say, you truly are a visionary! Duel Monsters has become more than just a game it's a global phenomenon. The profits alone.

Pegasus waved a hand dismissively, cutting him off with a soft chuckle.

Pegasus: Ahh, yes, yes, profits. Money is all very well and good, but art, my dear fellow, that's where the true magic lies! Duel Monsters is a craft, a blend of strategy and imagination not simply a means to fill one's coffers, though that does have its perks.

He winked, causing the investors to laugh, though it was clear none of them truly grasped his deeper passion for the game.

Investor #2 (eagerly): Of course, Mr. Pegasus! But, speaking of investments, I hear KaibaCorp is considering a major expansion of their Duel Disks. We'd be honored to.

Pegasus (interrupting, smiling slyly): Oh, let's not bore ourselves with KaibaCorp's little toys just yet. After all, that's why we have our dear Big Five lurking about, is it not?

His tone was playful, but there was a sharp edge behind his words. The investors shifted uncomfortably at the mention of KaibaCorp's infamous executives, the Big Five, who were known for their cutthroat business tactics. But before anyone could respond, Pegasus stood up, theatrically brushing off his suit.

Pegasus (with a flourish): Now, if you'll excuse me, gentlemen, I do believe I have an appointment with those very same Big Five. Duty calls!

He gave a mock bow before turning to Jhonny, who was quietly waiting by his side.

Pegasus (whispering): Do remind me to bring up something delightfully awkward during this meeting. I can't have them thinking I'm here just to listen to their dull corporate nonsense.

Jhonny smirked and nodded.

Jhonny: Of course, Mr. Pegasus. Shall I have them start sweating now, or would you prefer to wait until mid-conversation?

Pegasus grinned, clearly pleased with Jhonny's quick wit.

Pegasus: Oh, mid-conversation, definitely. It's always more fun to see their reactions when they think they've gained control.

And with that, Pegasus made his way toward the private booth where the Big Five were waiting, a trail of nervous investors left behind in his wake.

Inside the private booth...

The Big Five sat in their usual formation: Gansley, Crump, Johnson, Nezbitt, and Leichter, each looking as stoic and calculating as ever. They had been discussing the finer details of KaibaCorp's future expansions when the door finally opened, revealing Pegasus with a charmingly mischievous grin plastered across his face.

Pegasus (gleefully): Ahh, the Big Five! How delightful to see you all again! You wouldn't believe the riveting conversation I just had with your dear investors. Fascinating... if you enjoy watching paint dry, that is.

The Big Five exchanged glances, clearly unamused by his remark, but Gansley acting as the unofficial leader forced a polite smile.

Gansley: Mr. Pegasus, thank you for joining us. We have much to discuss regarding your upcoming meeting with Mr. Kaiba.

Pegasus slid into the booth with an exaggerated flourish, clasping his hands together.

Pegasus: Oh, I'm sure we do. But first, let's get one thing straight. I'm here because I'm interested in KaibaCorp's future, not because I need to be bored to death by business drivel. So, let's skip the part where you try to intimidate me with numbers, hmm?

Johnson, the lawyer of the group, leaned forward with a serious expression.

Johnson: This isn't just about numbers, Mr. Pegasus. This is about ensuring KaibaCorp remains the dominant force in the Duel Monsters world. We can't have someone... outshining us.

Pegasus raised an eyebrow, clearly entertained by Johnson's attempt at intimidation.

Pegasus (grinning): Outshining, you say? My dear boys, I do believe that's why Seto Kaiba invited me here to see if anyone's capable of that. And if I'm not mistaken... we all know the answer.

The tension in the room thickened, but Pegasus leaned back, utterly unbothered.

Pegasus: Now then, before we dive into the dry bits, how about a glass of wine? Let's make this delightfully uncomfortable for everyone involved, shall we?

The Big Five could only sit in silence, knowing that with Pegasus, nothing would go as they expected.

Pegasus leaned back, his signature grin widening as the Big Five waited for his next move. He twirled a strand of his long silver hair between his fingers before speaking again, his tone shifting to something more conspiratorial.

Pegasus (smoothly): "Ahh, gentlemen, let's not play coy. We all know why we're here. We're talking about control. A return to the days when KaibaCorp was something more than a plaything for a boy with delusions of grandeur."

The Big Five exchanged wary glances, the mention of Kaiba's leadership hitting a nerve.

Gansley (skeptical): "Control? What exactly are you suggesting, Pegasus?"

Pegasus stood and casually paced around the room, his gaze wandering over the luxurious surroundings.

Pegasus (reminiscing): Do you remember the old days, when Gozaburo Kaiba was in charge? KaibaCorp was a global powerhouse, respected and feared in equal measure. And you were at the center of it all. Each of you had real authority. Not like now, where you're under the thumb of a child playing CEO.

The Big Five tensed, the memories of Gozaburo's reign stirring something within them. Those were the days when they had true power, before Seto took over and shifted the company's focus.

Leichter (cautious): "That was a different time. What's your point, Pegasus?"

Pegasus stopped pacing and turned to face them, his smile widening as he leaned on the table.

Pegasus (coolly): My point, dear Leichter, is that I can bring those days back. A KaibaCorp where men like you visionaries, strategists are calling the shots. Not a boy who only cares about his personal ego trips. With me at the helm, we can restore KaibaCorp to its former glory. But to do that, we need to… remove an obstacle."

Crump (nervously): You're talking about getting rid of Seto Kaiba?

Pegasus chuckled softly, as if the answer was obvious.

Pegasus (matter-of-factly): Of course. Seto has turned this company into a shadow of what it used to be. His obsession with technology is all well and good, but it lacks the edge that made KaibaCorp what it once was. The world was at your feet when Gozaburo was in charge. I can give you that world back, but only if Seto is no longer in the picture.

The Big Five fell silent, contemplating his words. They had always harbored resentment toward Seto for how he had usurped their authority. Now, Pegasus was offering them a chance to reclaim what they had lost.

Johnson (coldly): And how exactly do you plan to make that happen?

Pegasus (grinning): Oh, I've already set the wheels in motion. Seto has been so busy building his personal empire that he hasn't noticed the cracks forming beneath him. With your help, we can speed up the process. A few well placed moves, a few critical decisions, and KaibaCorp will be under our control once again.

Leichter (interested): You're proposing a takeover. But if this fails… Kaiba will come for us. We'll be finished.

Pegasus (reassuringly): Oh, but it won't fail. I've been carefully planning this for quite some time. The key is subtlety, patience. And that's where you come in. You've been on the inside, watching him, knowing his weaknesses. With the right timing, Seto won't see it coming until it's too late.

Gansley (nodding slowly): "And what do you want in return, Pegasus? You don't strike me as someone who does things out of the goodness of his heart."

Pegasus laughed, the sound soft and almost playful.

As the tension in the room mounted, the Big Five leaned in, eager to hear what Pegasus wanted in concrete terms. Pegasus took a deep breath, savoring the moment before he spoke.

Pegasus (with an air of finality): Now, let's get down to specifics. To make this takeover work, I need more than just the usual cooperation. I need complete control over KaibaCorp's most valuable assets.

The Big Five exchanged wary glances, anticipation clear in their eyes. They needed to understand exactly what Pegasus wanted from them.

Gansley (leaning forward): And what exactly are those assets, Pegasus? What do you want us to relinquish?

Before Pegasus could respond, Johnny, Pegasus' ever-faithful assistant, stepped forward with a stack of documents. His expression was businesslike, and he spoke with precise clarity.

Johnny: Maximillion Pegasus wants full access to all of KaibaCorp's holographic technology and tech development resources. This includes everything related to the Duel Monsters holographic projection systems, virtual reality tech, and any ongoing R&D projects in those areas.

The Big Five looked at each other, their expressions a mix of shock and concern. Holographic technology was the core of KaibaCorp's business, and giving up control of it was no small matter.

Johnson (raising an eyebrow): That's a significant request. KaibaCorp's holographic technology is the cornerstone of its success. Why does Pegasus need this specifically?

Johnny (nodding, his tone firm): Mr. Pegasus believes that to fully realize his vision for KaibaCorp, he needs to control the very technology that drives the company's innovations. It's not just about the cards it's about redefining the entire gaming and tech experience. By taking over the holographic tech and development, Pegasus will ensure that KaibaCorp remains at the cutting edge of the industry, under his leadership.

Crump (looking worried): And what happens if we refuse? Kaiba is not someone to be trifled with, and if this plan falls through, we could all be in serious trouble.

Pegasus (smiling reassuringly): Oh, I assure you, the plan will not fall through. We've carefully accounted for every variable. Besides, the alternative is to remain under Seto Kaiba's a rule that limits your influence and stifles your potential. The choice is yours: cooperate and reclaim the power you once had, or face the consequences of defying me and losing everything.

Gansley (resolute): If we agree to this, what guarantees can you offer us that we won't be sidelined in the new order?

Johnny (handing over the documents): Mr. Pegasus has prepared a detailed agreement outlining your roles and responsibilities once the takeover is complete. You will each have significant authority in your respective divisions. The only stipulation is that the holographic technology and tech development must come under Mr. Pegasus's direct control.

As Johnny finished speaking, he handed the documents over to the Big Five. The weight of the decision hung heavy in the room. The prospect of regaining their former power was tempting, but it came at a significant cost.

Leichter (after reviewing the documents): "We'll need time to review this properly, but from what I see, it looks like we're heading toward a major shift in control.

Pegasus (grinning): Take all the time you need. Just remember, the sooner we make this official, the sooner we can begin reshaping KaibaCorp into the powerhouse it's meant to be. And remember, the opportunity to regain your influence is not one to be taken lightly.

The Big Five nodded, some of their resolve returning as they considered the implications of the deal. Pegasus watched them with a satisfied smile, confident that the path to his ultimate goal was now clearer than ever.

Pegasus (thinking to himself): Soon, KaibaCorp will be mine, and Seto Kaiba will be nothing more than a footnote in its

The Big Five huddled together for a moment, whispering amongst themselves. The temptation of regaining the control they had lost was too powerful to ignore.

Leichter (firmly): If we go through with this, we want assurances. If you try to double cross us, Pegasus, you'll regret it.

Pegasus (mockingly raising his hand): Oh, I wouldn't dream of it! This is a partnership, gentlemen. A glorious return to power for all of us. After all, don't you miss the old days? When KaibaCorp ruled with an iron fist and no one dared stand in your way?

The Big Five fell silent, the thought of returning to that level of control too enticing to resist. Slowly, they nodded.

Gansley (finally): We're in. But make no mistake, Pegasus we'll be watching you.

Pegasus (grinning): Of course, of course. To the future, then. A future where KaibaCorp will be ours.

As the glasses clinked together in a reluctant toast, Pegasus' eyes gleamed with victory. The pieces were falling into place, and soon, KaibaCorp and Seto Kaiba would be at his mercy.

Pegasus (thinking to himself): This is just the beginning.

To be continued....
