Kaizer paused and slowly turned around to leave the bathroom, while saying, "I was bullied as a child. People said I was cold and… different."
Lisa followed behind, "You're cold, true. But different, that's a new grammar. Maybe if we had crossed paths earlier on, I might have protected you."
Kaizer suddenly paused, causing Lisa to almost bump into him, "Why?" he asked as he simultaneously turned to stare at her.
Looking him in the eyes, Lisa's heart skipped a beat. She immediately bit the inside of her cheek and gave a languid reply, "Why else? You look pitiful."
Kaizer froze and his fist subconsciously clenched. For a long time, he didn't speak. When he finally did, his voice grew deeper, "I hate to be pitied." With that said, he turned his back and opened the door, about to leave the bathroom.
