Chapter 2 - CHAPTER II - 11706

In the following three days, Cory's space pod arrived on Planet 11706, also known as: Zion.

The planet Zion is about four to five times larger than earth, with only three main cities across the world; City Alpha, City Beta, and City Gamma, each City protected by its very own Guardian, which is equivalent to a president, and the Co-Guardian (Vice President). Unfortunately, it is very common for raids and invasions to occur on the planet due to its vast supply of resources, as it is a very wealthy planet. Like humans, The prime species of the planet are a naturally gifted humanoid race, The Saarans.  The civilizations of this planet are quite advanced compared to planets like 11719.

Cory's small ship crashed into the home of Aref and Anuva, a Saaran couple living together in a medium-sized house near the east side of City Beta. They had two children together, Elijah; 6 years old, and Ray; 8. Upon meeting, Cory immediately started a fight with the two of them, losing easily as his Threat Level was barely three thousand, meanwhile Elijah and Ray both had a Threat Level of five thousand. The three started off as rivals that battled over twenty times a week, but over the years, they grew closer and closer, before eventually creating a brotherly bond between each other.

Year 226.

Three years after Cory's arrival, Cory was eight years old. Oddly enough, since Cory arrived on the planet, there had been no invasions in his City, City B. But on the day following his eighth birthday, this would change.

A young Cory takes a stroll down the dirt road as he wonders what animal he should find for dinner. "Ogre? Yuck! Only mom and dad likes that icky stuff… Or maybe I should get some Danger noodle.."

His head perks up, as he makes the decision. He was going to hunt some Danger Noodle.

He grinned, flexing his legs, before lunging forward, traveling a very far distance into the forest as he picked up speed. His eyes zoomed back and forth as he searched for the slithery tube dudes that lay in the tall, wet grass.

"There..!!"

He spotted the head of a curious slither lizard popping through a tight space, in between two rocks to his far left. He rushed toward it, but before he could grab it, a strange feeling echoed through his spine, making every hair on his body stand up. "What?"

He turned around, promptly sprinting the direction that his gut directed him. "I think Elijah and Ray are in trouble..!"

He continued to run, as everything around him blurred into nothingness. Maybe he was running too fast, but it didn't matter. At this moment, he needed his legs to overwork. He needed to be there, before it was too late.

Ray and Elijah exchanged glances, backing away as a group of foreigners backed them into a corner. There were five of them, each of them wielding some type of projectile weapon. "Don't move, and we might let you live." The woman in the front said, her face oozing with negative intent. "Oa, go with Po and search for any Cryzalyn you can find. I heard that this planet is rich in all resources!" The taller man in the back spoke. One of the men in the back, presumably Po, sneered as he glanced at Oa, who was one of the people in the back, before taking off, Oa following behind. Now there were three. The man giving orders, and two lackeys.

"Lila, keep these kids checked. You never know what to expect out of these Saaran."

Lila, the woman in front nodded, as she raised her weapon towards the two brothers.

"Lee, you come with me, we're going to cause a great distraction." he said in an ominous tone, he leaped into the sky, and blasted off. Lee followed behind, both of them capable of flight. "Good luck, Lars." The woman said under her breath.

That makes one. One person to deal with.

Elijah turned to ray as soon as they were gone. "I think it was kinda stupid that they split up for us." Ray kept his focus on Lila, not breaking eye contact for a second. "Elijah, stay focused."

"You two better not be plotting anything!" Lila interrupted, her tool pointed directly at Ray, who was taller than his little brother by an inch. "Elijah, shock her!" Ray whispered.

"Alright! Time for my ultimate attack, Earth electrifier!!" As he shouted, Elijah slapped his hand on the ground, and a streak of electricity danced over towards Lila's feet.

Lila saw it coming, but didn't have the speed to move out of the way.

She was hit.

But the voltage wasn't high enough to cause any damage.

Lila yelped, as her entire body went limp onto the floor. "L…Lars…"

"Now's our chance, let's go!" Ray said, as he grabbed Elijah by the arm and tugged him along. "Good job, little bro."

"Of course! No one's any match for my Type four abilities!" Elijah boasted pridefully.

Ray sighed, rolling his eyes. "There's no such thing as a fourth type! You're type three, how many times do I have to remind you?"

They continued to move along, searching for Lee and the 'Leader' of the group.

In another area, Cory had run into Po and Oa.

"Oof!"

Cory socked Po in the stomach, knocking him out in one hit.

He yawned, as Oa attempted to attack him from behind, but he whipped around, slapping her in the noggin with the back of his fist. In less than one minute, he had knocked both of them out. "Man, what total weaklings."

Sighing, he dusted off his shirt and pants, before continuing through the exit of the forest. "Maybe they don't need my help."

.

.

. . . Meanwhile…

Lee and Lars floated above the city. "Lars, give me the order and I got it!" He exclaimed with confidence.

"Alright. I need you to go crazy." Lars replied, as he raised his gun to the city.

Lee furrowed his brows out of confusion. "What do you mean, Lars?"

"Have fun, that's what I mean. And you don't need to always say my name."

"Say less, Lars!" Lee shouted, as he aimed his hand towards the middle of City B.

As his hand lay outstretched, A Hole opened in the palm of his hand, and a cannon barrel popped through. "Charging up..!-"

"Hey."

A mysterious person appeared next to Lee, hitting him in an unseen motion with tremendous force.

Lee was sent flying back down to the City in a flash. "What?" Lars turned slowly, to see an average sized Saaran male standing before him mid-air. He had light brown hair and dark blue eyes. His body was shrouded in ghostlike robes, and coating his fists and feet were shiny metal gauntlets and boots that indicated what may lie beneath the white. "Who…Who are you??" Lars asked nervously, as sweat poured down his face. "Me? Well, I guess I can tell you my name before I erase you."

Those words sent shivers down Lars back. "Who is this guy? How is he standing on air? I don't remember Saaran having the ability to fly."

"I am Taaran, the current Guardian of City B. You have decided to end your own life…" He stopped his words there, as a creepy grin appeared on his lips. He reached his arm out, a bright light appearing in his hand. "By invading my planet."

Taaran gripped the bright orb, and right after, it formed into a large, unholy Scythe that once present, made the air around them grow heavy. "Goodbye." Taaran whispered with a smile, as he swiped his weapon so quickly that his arm appeared static.

Seconds after, millions of lacerations appeared all across Lars' body, as he hurled forcefully toward the ground at a high speed.

Taaran watched as his mangled body slammed into the ground in a mess of innards.

"Four long years of peace, I would hate to see it end here."  He remarked, as he appeared before Lars' corpse in the blink of an eye. "I can't let this filth continue any further." He let go of his Scythe, the strange weapon returning to its orb form.

He waved his hand over Lars' remains, and a bright light enveloped his body as bit by bit, it was erased completely from existence.

"Eh, looks like the other one's still alive."

He glared over at Lee, who sat there in fear, shudders attacking every single part of his body. "You…You're…" Every attempt Lee made at speech failed miserably and ended in him stuttering endlessly. "What… What is your Threat Level..!?"

Taaran cocked his head. "Hmm, well last time I checked, I think it was…. Twenty million? I recall the scientists saying something about my power being too great, so that number is probably only half-" He paused, looking back at Lee. "Wait, are you trying to change the subject?"

"Sorry!" Lee jumped to his feet, raising his arms. "Please don't kill-"

"Shut up." Taaran muttered, as he swiped his hand, and directly afterwards, Lee's head was thrown off of his own body, his corpse dropping to the ground.

"So much filth." He murmured, as he raised his hand again, and Lee's body disintegrated, similarly to how Lars did.

As his body disappeared, Elijah and Ray approached him. "Hey, it's Sir Taaran!" Elijah shouted, as he jumped to hug him. "Elijah, stop hugging everyone you see!" Ray yelled, scolding his little brother. Taaran grinned slightly, as he accepted their hugs.

"Ah, It's not that big of a deal, as long as it's me."

"You all did a good job. Let Cory know I said that, too."

"Okay! Thanks!" Elijah replied, as he looked up at Taaran with a smile on his face. "Perfect timing. These kids almost saw something that they'd never forget for the rest of their lives." he thought as he looked down at the two boys. "Mister Taaran, do you know where Cory is?" Ray asked aloud.

"Yeah, he should be getting home by now." Taaran replied, scratching the back of his head.

"Alright, let's go Elijah!" Ray called out, as he began walking the opposite direction. Elijah left Taaran, waving him one last goodbye as the two departed.

"Now to deal with the other three." Taaran thought, as his body distorted into nothingness.

Cory entered through the front door of his home, turning around to make sure that the door was locked behind him. The front room had three doorways, the one in front leading to a staircase. "I'm home, and I've got food, too!"

A somewhat short, light-skinned woman with dark-brown hair and dark brown eyes appeared from around the corner of the left doorway. This was Anuva, the mother of Elijah and Ray. She squinted at the bag in Cory's hand as he held it up for her to see. "Thank you." Anuva said with a smile, as she reached her hand out. Cory handed her the bag with no hesitation, then continued towards the stairs to head up to his room.

.

.

Seven years later, Cory was fifteen years old. Taaran had just retired a year prior, and passed the title of Guardian to someone else. The three boys had become known for helping out around City B.

Elijah and Ray now had better control over their Electrokinesis, And Cory had a better grasp on his Mantian Powers. Although, all he knew were the few techniques his father tried to teach him before sending him off to Zion.

He had never lost sight of his main goal, even as a young child. His one purpose of gaining strength was to stand up to the Imperial Novus Corp, a planet-seizing force known for the destruction of many races across the Galaxies, one of them being his own. Now, he felt like he was ready. Ready to leave.

This day, he will set off to build a team to help him find and stop The Novus. And his first destination is planet 11719.
