"Here you go," Jack said simply as he handed over the folder.
Damien flipped through the pages quickly until something caught his eye - a DNA test report confirming that Candace's child was indeed not Damien's biological offspring. Relief washed over him like a wave as everything finally made sense.

Damien and Elena woke up the next morning asking to be discharged from the hospital
He took a deep breath, and tells one of the nurses " we'd like to go home today"
"But you're not fully well my Carrington, you can't leave"
"Well then we can stay a day or two" damien replies
Elena shot him a withering glare before turning her attention back to one of the nurses. "Listen here, sweetheart," she said coldly. "We've had enough of your half-assed medical care. We want to be discharged."
