Ruby and Aeliana rushed down to the garden, their faces etched with concern. As they reached Loran, they found him taking out leaves and flower petals from his hair. He looked exhilarated despite the dirt and leaves clinging to his clothes.
"Loran, are you alright?" Katrin asked, her voice laced with worry.
Loran nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, I'm fine. Actually, I feel great! Shifting is... amazing. I really liked the feeling."
Ruby exchanged a glance with Katrin, who smiled gently. "I'm glad to hear that, but you need to take it easy. You're still recovering."
Loran's excitement was infectious, and despite their concerns, both women couldn't help but smile. "I want to learn more," Loran said eagerly. "I want to learn how to control it."
Aeliana, who had followed them down, nodded thoughtfully. "Alright, we'll try to help you with that. But we know nothing about shifting, so we will have to check the library."
