Aeliana and Eldor paired up, while Ethan and Ruby took another direction. Katrin stayed with Loran, feeling a sense of responsibility towards the young shifter.
As they searched, the sounds of the fair seemed distant, replaced by the tension of their mission. They looked behind stalls, in the shadows, and among the lingering fairgoers, but there was no sign of the mysterious woman.
After what felt like hours, they regrouped near the food stall, empty-handed.
