As the day progressed, the group enjoyed the fair, taking in the sights and sounds. Aeliana and Eldor joined in some of the games, their laughter mingling with the cheerful shouts of the villagers.
And at a point Ruby left to danced with the children, her fiery hair a bright beacon of joy.
"About what happened in the library," Eldor said to his friend once they were finally alone. "I'm sorry, I lot my calm and said something I shouldn't have and-"
"It's fine,." Ethan cut him off, placing his hand on Eldor's shoulders. "Your concerns are understandable, but we have to do this. Katrin fulfilling her destiny is too important. I need her."
Eldor looked at him, his expression serious. "Just promise, you'll keep her safe. Have her do whatever you want her to when we find all the gems. But make sure she isn't harmed."
A dark smirk found it's place on Ethan's lips and he replies "I promise, I'll get what I want, and she can go back to her simple life."
