Corrin leads Ruby through the fairgrounds, weaving through the crowds and past the brightly coloured stalls, but Ruby feels like something Isn't right. It was pleasant to catch up with an old friend, but something about Corrin seemed off. They continue to make their way up a gently sloping hill, which he claims was the best place to watch the fireworks.
As they walked, Ruby notices sweat beads forming on Corrin's forehead.
"Corrin, are you alright?" She asks, her voice holding a bit of concern. "You're sweating."
The man in front of her laughs nervously. "Oh, it's just this heavy coat. Let me take it off."
He removes the coat, revealing sweat stains on his shirt underneath. Ruby's uneasiness increases, but she keeps her suspicions to herself, deciding to follow him a little longer.
