Chapter 45 - The Northern Banquet (2)

Eston searched around the banquet for Tyrion and stumbled upon a terrace. He opened the door to look outside, and Tyrion was there, standing with a champagne glass in his hand. But it wasn't just him; Aluxio was also there, talking to someone with shiny blonde hair, who anyone could have guessed was Luke Théodred, the duke's only son.

They were all standing with their backs to the door, but there was one more person facing the door: Darius, the Crown Prince!

Eston had met Darius before; it wasn't his first time seeing him, but they were both still awkward with each other.

Eston opened the door with a slight creak, gaining the attention of everyone on the balcony. They all turned to look at the door except Darius, who was just watching with no interest whatsoever, his smile disappearing the moment he saw Eston.

Eston locked eyes with Tyrion, who looked at him with widened eyes. Eston quickly looked away and apologized.

"I'm sorry, I thought there wasn't anyone here." Eston immediately closed the door and walked away like nothing had happened.

The Stallions were all as introverted as could be, except for Ria. Everyone was awkward and didn't know what to do at others' banquets where everyone seemed to know each other already. Eston wasn't the type to strike up a conversation.

Eston moved to the second floor to return to his room when someone grabbed his wrist roughly and turned him around, pinning him against the hallway wall.

"What?" Eston said to the person pinning him.

"Why did you run away?" Tyrion asked.

"When did I run away? You were having fun, but I wasn't, so I was going back to my room," Eston replied, looking at Tyrion with fierce eyes.

"Are you mad at me?"

"I should be the one asking you that; you're hurting my wrists," Eston said, trying to move his arms pinned to the wall.

"Can't you stay with me tonight?" Tyrion rested his head on Eston's shoulder pitifully.

"You should go back; you don't have to leave the banquet just because I'm going back," Eston said in a hushed voice.

"Are you sulking right now?" Tyrion looked up at him.

"Just let me go; I don't want to talk to you or see you right now," Eston struggled under Tyrion.

"Then why aren't you breaking away from me using your powers?"

Eston lowered his eyes. "I... I don't want to accidentally hurt you."

"I'm sorry, okay? Please don't leave me," Tyrion snuggled into Eston's neck.

"Do you even know what you are apologizing for?" Eston asked.

"Yes, I'm sorry I left you all alone; I should have searched for you first thing," Tyrion said, looking up at Eston's face and kissed him.

They kissed each other for a while. Eston was still plastered to the wall; Tyrion pressed him against it with passion, his hands holding Eston's hands instead of his wrists, with his arms still over his head.

"Wait," Eston pushed out between the kiss.

"What is it?" Tyrion broke the kiss for a moment.

"We are still in the hallway; what if someone sees us?" Eston whispered into Tyrion's ear.

"So what? Let them see us all they want," Tyrion replied.

"Free my hands, Tyrion," Eston pleaded.

Tyrion let go of his hold on Eston as soon as he heard the words. He saw Eston's red wrists, feeling a little guilty, he moved back a step.

Eston put his arms around Tyrion's neck, securing his arms around it. He suddenly jumped on Tyrion, shocking him. Eston locked his legs around Tyrion's waist tightly.

"My room is just at the back of the hallway," Eston whispered again in Tyrion's ear, sending chills down his body.

Tyrion was flabbergasted at the sight, but he moved quickly upon hearing those words. He kissed Eston again, a little more roughly this time, as he tightly embraced Eston in his arms, walking towards his room at the back of the hallway.

"I regret existing; I hope I go blind soon," Estoria said from the other side of the hallway.
