Chapter 38 - and a competition of love?

The time when Estoria had just tucked herself in bed, Eston was wide awake practicing the control of his blazing red lightning. He wanted to draw it out by command only, so he tried to conjure his lightning only when he wanted and resisted when it came without him wanting to.

He was sitting on the sofa in his study room when he felt hands on his neck coming down to his chest.

"Guess who?" a playful voice said behind him.

"These shameless hands can only belong to you, Your Highness," Eston said as he slapped his hands away.

Tyrion came out from behind, and instead of sitting on the basically empty sofa, he sat down on his legs.

"Get off of me, you're heavier than you look!," Eston grumbled. Tyrion stubbornly stayed in place, grabbing him by the waist.

"Ask kindly, Make me change my mind," Tyrion grinned.

Eston really didn't like Tyrion sitting on top of him, so he behaved accordingly. "Please get off of me, Your Highness" in a pleading voice.

"Hmm... Not passionate enough, try again," Tyrion said as his smile widened.

Eston was sure that if he didn't accept this one, he would burn him to a crisp with his lightning right away.

"Tyrion... I really don't like it. Please sit on the sofa instead," Eston said coquettishly, pleading even with his eyes.

Tyrion's eyes seemed to sparkle with a pink light at this view. Eston knew Tyrion's weakness by now; it was him acting cute, which Eston personally didn't like, but for Tyrion... he would do it if he asks for it.

Tyrion tightened his grip on his waist and flipped them. Now he was the one sitting on the sofa with Eston on his lap.

Eston didn't even have time to think before they changed positions. He was suddenly sitting on Tyrion's lap, making him taller than Tyrion. His mood instantly improved.

When Eston was younger, he really liked to stand on tall places. He especially loved the magic tower, as it was tall enough to touch the clouds. He would often sneak out to the peak of the tower. When his father got busy with others, he would run straight to the tower's peak and gaze down at the tiny houses in the distance, the people as little as ants. But he couldn't gaze at them for long before he was caught by his father and forcefully taken downstairs.

He loved winning the magic competitions because he got to stand on the winner's podium, the tallest block of the number one position. Even if it was just a bit taller than the second position, it was still the tallest one.

He would then brag about the first position to his father, sister, and mother. One by one, he would go over and tell them in detail how he won the competition and got to stand at the tallest podium.

In conclusion, it didn't matter how tall it was. Even if he felt just a little bit taller than others, he would instantly feel happy. It was a simple but sure way to make him feel joyful.

Getting to sit on top of Tyrion made his mood instantly light and bright. He smiled until his rare dimples came out from hiding.

Tyrion saw those dimples for the first time ever, and he was enchanted by the sight, wholly thrilled.

"Are you this happy sitting on my lap?" Tyrion pulled him closer.

"I like tall places," Eston replied shyly.

Tyrion had dreamed of a day when Eston would act all cute and shy in front of him without him asking first. He wasn't sure if he would live long enough to get to see that day, but it came abruptly and earlier than he expected.

Tyrion was on cloud nine as he stared at him with heart eyes, making Eston even more self-conscious about himself.

"Stop staring at me like that," Eston covered his eyes with his warm hands and fingers.

"Was I always like this? Since when did I love a man this much? How is the person in front of me so lovable and stunning? Even his dimples are so cute. I could die for just for them alone. What did you do to me? Was it a love potion? It must have been an extremely expensive and rare one," Tyrion blabbered on and on.

"What are you talking about? Why would I need a love potion? If you didn't love me back, then that would just be it," Eston replied a bit annoyed.

"What do you mean, that would be it? I don't think I will be able to live without you. If you didn't love me back, I would search the whole world for that love potion and give it to you so we can be together forever," Tyrion said, pouring his heart out while Eston was speechlessly listening to him.

"What happened to you? Did you eat something bad? Your letter was also not something you would ever write. Did you hire a poet to write it for me?" Eston asked astounded.

Tyrion took his hands off of his eyes, licked his palms, and kissed his fingers before replying, "I didn't. I wrote that letter. I started writing it as soon as I left and finished it late at night."

Eston also came to love another thing recently, and it was Tyrion giving him affection and love by doing the most ridiculous things ever. Who writes five pages of poetry for someone as soon as they leave them and can't even spend a few days without rushing right back to them these days?

It was Eston's first time falling in love with a person, and that person gave him so much love that even he was doubtful if he deserved all of it.

Tyrion talked like he was the one madly in love when Eston was even more madly in love with him to the point of insanity from his touch, a heaven on earth when he smiled at him, and an uncountable starlit sky when he expressed his love for him.

"Why do you keep zoning out? Keep your focus on me," Tyrion nuzzled on Eston's chest.

Eston noticed his brooch and other jewels on his suit that might hurt Tyrion, so he wanted to stop him from rubbing his face on his chest.

"Don't, you'll get hurt," Eston pulled him back by his ears carefully.

Tyrion looked at him hazily without saying a single word.

"What?" Eston questioned, confused.

"Remove it," Tyrion said.

Eston sighed and started removing his brooch, but Tyrion wasn't having any of that. As he got impatient, he took matters into his own hands.

"Wait! Not here!" Eston pleaded as Tyrion tore off his coat from his shoulders and threw it on the floor.

"Can't you feel it? I'm afraid I'm not that much of a patient person when it comes to you, Eston," Tyrion complained while nuzzling to him nonstop.

Eston hadn't noticed it at all until Tyrion pointed it out. After he became aware of it, he felt weird sitting on his lap, and a pink blush crept on his cheeks and eyes.

"What do you want me to do about that?" Eston said in a low voice, but Tyrion didn't miss it.

"Want me to teleport us to your bedroom? Or we can stay here. I don't care," Tyrion replied with breaths in between.
