Chapter 8 - Unveiling Malisa Crain

Everyone was shocked to learn of Malisa Crain's condition, even her two kids. Her life was extraordinary prior to the disaster, but she never took a step following the fire three years ago.

Malisa won her first championship in supernatural wrestling when she was thirteen years old, and she would never forget it. However, at the age of fifteen, she was accepted into a small spy group, and by the time she was nineteen, she had been named the top spy agent and officer at the Justice Coordinative Agency for Supernaturals, popularly known as JCAS.

She was well-known for both her extraordinary combat skills and her extraordinary vision powers. Her visions were usually erratic in their timing, particularly throughout her time in college. That was when she met Mr. Crain; they had their first confrontation in a combat ring, where she utterly defeated him.

Her children were just eleven and twelve years old when the fire event occurred. Malisa's exquisite pale skin and straight white blond hair made her look even more stunning on that faithful day. The entire Crain family intended to go out for a casual lunch, with Mandy, the housekeeper, staying behind to make the family's supper later.

Mandy was a very skilled chef, but she was also awkward and frequently forgetful. The family left right away, and she got to work preparing their favorite dinner. She succeeded in finishing all preparations before their arrival without any complications. That is, or so she believed. Ignorantly, she walked from the kitchen to her bedroom, leaving the stove unattended.

After finishing their modest lunch, the Crains planned to head to the shopping mall, but Mrs. Crain felt slightly ill right after the meal, so they continued on without her and she went back to the estate.

When Malisa entered their house's double front doors, she immediately felt worried because she could smell gas. She was worried about Mandy's safety, so she hurriedly dismissed the need to find the gas source. Malisa hurried up to Mandy's room after failing to locate her in the garden or laundry room. However, when she arrived, the housekeeper had already fainted and was unconscious on the floor.

Malisa chose to put aside her discomfort from lunch in order to gather her calm and assist them both, but she felt in her heart that something terrible was going to happen. By that point, her strength had returned.

Just as Malisa reached for her belt sword, she sensed someone following her; a dark silhouette darted by the door of the room. With her blade, she quickly pursued the assailant, and anyone who has ever engaged in combat with Malisa would attest to her extraordinary strength and speed.

She quickly caught up to the intruder and attempted to recognize him by looking in his face, but he was wearing a mask with the symbol of a wolf head etched on it. Malisa had all the answers she needed from that alone.

Ever since the top authorities of the society discovered that their power and strength came from mere mortals six years ago, all agencies, organizations, and gangs have dispatched their best agents to target the Crain family, recognizing their unique abilities as threats. Despite numerous attempts, none had triumphed, primarily due to Malisa's exceptional prowess, she had always stood in the way of success for everyone.
