"Everything went as planned, just as requested."
"What about the kids you brought along??? I heard you brought kids along with you on such a mission, kinds that just graduated???"
"Yeah yeah, no big deal, they performed excellently. In fact, they were the ones who killed two of the gang leaders, aren't they little monsters? I groom only the best."
"What do you mean by that? This is your first time training kids."
"I know, and I hate it, well, except for those two, for now. Plus, relax, I told Indas I'd be taking them, so no issue."
"..."
"See? I follow these rule stuff and all. I'll come by later to hear what Indas has to say about this, see ya."
'No manners.' "... Why do I even bother anymore, I'm getting old for this."
. . .
On the one off day Kazi had, he didn't rest at home and went into the forests near the Divara clan territory. It was quite quiet there and he would rarely find anyone walking about in there. Put it simply, the clansmen didn't seem to train much, or at least not in that part.
'I need to do a revaluation of these weapons. Also, I need a place where I can check out the loot from the last mission properly.' He thought to himself as he entered the forest. One thing was that knowing exactly what he had was a good practice. He had taken out a little of what he brought back while in his room, but the space was indeed too small and inconvenient for all that.
'I can't do it here either, it's not secure. I need some kind of base. It might be time to bring that plan into action.' Kazi thought to himself.
After getting to a favourable spot, he stopped and brought out his weapons, the same ones he took with him on the last mission. While on the mission, he realised one painful thing, and that was the fact that his father's things which were left behind for him were all of average or even low quality. There was the fact that these weapons had not been changed for a while and were getting old, and there was also the fact that these were not good weapons in any special way to begin with.
After bringing everything out and laying them on the ground, he picked them up one after the other to check properly and conduct a thorough examination. This was something he was yet to do, after all, nobody would expect to be brought on such a mission immediately after graduating.
After making several checks, Kazi was certain, he needed new weapons.
'I should take some time to visit a weapons dealer. I should at least know the cost for the weapons and other stuff instead of just fearing the potential cost.'
With that, he first left for his house after spending about an hour and a half in the forests. When he got back, he took a bath again before heading out towards the place where he knew he would find the bests weapons. There were several places where he could buy weapons from after all, but the one towards the centre of the town was best, it's the centre of the town after all.
On getting there, Kazi could see from outside the quality of weapons displayed. 'I'm not an expert or anything, but these things look to be of good quality!' It was definitely the law of shinny playing on his senses, but even then it was assuring, the manner in which these things were displayed.
"Hey, young sir, I would like to ask some questions." Kazi said. He was being ignored after all, so he needed to get their attention.
They hadn't planned on answering him, but after seeing the arm band, they changed their minds. It was common for children to enter these kind of places to look at the weapons because of how good they looked maybe, or they were just feeding their curiosity and thirst to become sutori themselves.
After looking at what was up for offer, Kazi left as now he had a rough idea of how much he would need to get a good weapon.
'Which is more efficient? A good technique or a good weapon, one might ask. Of course, a good technique will over win over a good weapon, but a legendary weapon will be a different case all together.'
"Where am I even going to find one of those?" Kazi knew that was a far cry away.
'Maybe I'll spend my money on other useful things instead. Also, I might also try creating my own technique.' "I need to kick start my plan as soon as possible, especially now that I have some capital."
. . . The next day . . .
Kazi headed to the 98th training ground at the destined time. There he met all the others who seemed to have come before him this time, not that it was anything noteworthy, after all he wasn't late.
"You're late." Lanira didn't miss the opportunity.
"I'm exactly 30 seconds early, or so, I don't think I've failed to arrive on time."
"Hmph."
"Haha, hey what's up man?" Koro, as enthusiastic as ever, greeted Kazi while walking towards him. Linx gave a nod, to which Kazi returned. Ann also chipped in some words of greeting there.
It almost seemed like he was their leader the way they all greeted him, well, except for Lanira who tried to start something about late coming that is.
While they conversed within one another on what they thought was going to happen after their captain arrived, he did.
"Alright, I see that you guys are well bonded and all, let's get down to business immediately."
