From the piece of paper, Kazi was supposed to be at a certain location in three days, and after everyone was complete, they were to move to another location where they would then meet up with their squad leader.
'This doesn't feel normal. Why so much drama?' Kazi didn't think much of it anymore. He went on to do his usual workout and his day went along as it would any other normal day.
. . . Three days later . . .
The specified time for the meeting was around 5:15 am, so Kazi woke up as he would every other day, around five or so, and prepared. As a fresh sutori, he didn't have any weapons of any kind to his name, and they were yet to be issued the standard vest every sutori wore to them, so Kazi just picked out some clothes he had set aside the day before and wore.
He had on the normal thatched sandals, a baggy trouser, a tighter shirt inside that he tucked into the trouser, then a long sleeved shirt that was more of a coat in design and went to his thighs. Even though the shoes were thatched, they were much studier and comfortable than the one made from other materials like skin and stuff. Kazi had no idea what material it was though.
Of course, there were normal shoes that could be worn that would cover the entire leg and such, but these were the best he had that he could put on the field during fights and not slip up from a wardrobe malfunction.
After that he went to the kitchen to get some food to eat, after all, if he had to fight, he still needed energy. His mother had prepared something for him before going to bed the day before, so all he needed to do was warm up the food and eat. After he was done there and took care of the plates, he returned to his room.
Kazi picked up his band and wore it on his left hand, then he walked towards his bed to look under. From there, he pulled out a red coloured box slowly until it was completely out in the open, then after unlocking it, he raised the cover to expose some solid weaponry.
Even though he didn't have an official weapon yet, he still very much inherited his father's belongings, and it included his father's weapons. Because of this, he had around ten throwing knives, a dagger, and a short sword with both sides sharpened. Something he noticed ever since was the complete lack of shields in this world. Well, he could understand why it would be like that. Additionally, the fighting styles don't really support the use of such physical shields, it just wouldn't work well. Besides, ora could be used in many defensive ways.
The short sword was about 54cm in length from the hilt to the tip, and about 14cm for the handle where it is held. The sword maintained similar width throughout and was overall a standard sword, nothing fancy. For the dagger, it was around 22cm in blade length and 12cm for the handle, and the throwing knives were similar to the dagger, only shorter by a bit and had an exposed handle which was also way shorter than that of the dagger.
There was no need to hide it, so Kazi took the combat belt and strapped it to his waist. For the sword, he hung it on his back, he found this to be the most convenient.
After preparations were complete, he left through his window, as always. He already let his mother know he would be leaving this early so that she does not die of worry after waking up.
Kazi headed straight for the location where he was to meet with the rest of his teammates. It was a training ground that was rarely used because this one was not owned by any clan and was located towards the forest areas. Why come so far near the forest and still only train outside it, people just didn't pay the training ground any mind and headed straight for the forest.
Since Kazi had used his movement technique, he arrived in no time under a minute after leaving his house. Since he had practiced this technique a lot, he had gotten used to its disorientating effect, so it had little to no effect on him.
When Kazi arrived, he noticed two others had gotten there before him and he recognised them as Daima Koro and Rakasa Linx. He had stopped at the entrance of the training ground, so he just walked from there. Once he came close, Koro turned his attention fully to Kazi and smiled.
"Hey, I'm Daima Koro, you must be Kazi." He said with a hand stretched.
"Yeah, Divara Kazi." After regaining his memories, it was safe to say that Kazi's personality had changed slightly and he had become more reserved.
Kazi looked past Koro and his eyes immediately met with Linx's, so Kazi gave him a head's up which Linx returned. Linx had always been the reserved type, but it was hard to tell if he was just being reserved at that moment or if there was another reason.
Three minutes later, the rest of the team appeared and so they departed for the final meeting place, where they would hopefully meet their squad leader.
The time was currently 5:20 am, and the team of ten freshly graduated sutori came to the west gate of the town. They didn't need to search for their squad leader, as he was right there.
'So this is Daru Shama, our squad leader.'
The man looked to be in his late twenties and had stubborn medium length red hair that scattered over his head in all directions and only parting in the middle of his face so that his eyes could be seen. He was fully geared up and everyone noticed. He stood with both hands to his waist, hanging from his utility belt.
