Elvira's body was trembling. She didn't dare open her eyes to look at Wivior's face. Why? Why would Sebastian do this to her?
"Everard, my friend. Are you sure Elvira is the one who did this to you?" The hurt and shock in Wivior's voice were like a knife to her heart. The last thing she wanted was for him to feel betrayed again.
"In the forest, I had come earlier. There, I saw that woman outside the castle. She made a horse appear out of thin air." Everard's deep voice had a touch of hoarseness. "What is this witch still doing here? Who else has she cursed? I told you not to let this woman enter our home. She attacked me. I fought back, but her devil's craft was too powerful."
"I can't say I am surprised. So, are you still sure of your new life plan after hearing this?" Cornelius shot a mocking smile both Wivior and Elvira's way.
"What plan are you talking about? Did she bewitch him?" Everard shouted at the top of his lungs and ended up coughing.
