"Is he more handsome and talented than me?" Landon bit his lower lip and flashed his minty green eyes at her.
Elvira narrowed his eyes at him. "This is a joke to you, isn't it?"
"No," said Landon. "Being shot down by the woman of your dreams is hard. It would at least make me feel better if I knew he could surpass some of my best qualities. Or maybe I can challenge him to a dual of magic or any weapon of his choice. Whoever wins gets the fair maiden."
"He is more handsome and talented than you." Elvira sat against a stack of hay and crossed her legs. "In fact, he would beat your ass in any kind of dual."
