In their hearts, filled with pride and determination, Qin Chen and Xiao Wu resolved to explore the human world and immerse themselves among its people. Qin Chen, a mere six years old, possessed the unique ability to transform into the appearance of a six-year-old child, much like his sister Xiao Wu, a spirit beast with extraordinary powers. Together, they decided to enroll in an academy, where they could learn about human society and further develop their abilities.
Before commencing their journey, they sought advice from Daming and Erming, both of whom were Xiao Wu's older brothers and, technically, Qin Chen's as well.
"Daming, Erming, I've made up my mind; Qin Chen and I are going to an academy in the human world," Xiao Wu declared with determination in her eyes.
"No, Xiao Wu, you know how dangerous the human world can be," Erming replied without hesitation.
"That's true, Xiao Wu; you are a spirit beast, while Qin Chen is human. I'm fine with Qin Chen going, but not you," Daming supported Erming's concern.
Xiao Wu stood her ground, her eyes reflecting a mix of determination and sadness. "I understand your concerns, but Qin Chen and I believe that this is the best way for us to learn about humans. Even though Qin Chen is a human, he has never interacted with them, and he still needs to attend an academy. I want to accompany him because I'd be lonely without him."
Daming and Erming exchanged glances, recognizing the unbreakable bond between Xiao Wu and Qin Chen. They understood that separating them would only cause more pain. After a moment of contemplation, Daming sighed, his stern expression softening.
"Alright, Xiao Wu. We understand your reasons, and we trust your judgment. But promise us that you both will be careful and look out for each other. Humans can be unforgiving, and we worry about your safety. Additionally, you are a 100,000-year-old beast; you will become the target of every sage douluo once your true identity is discovered," Daming said, his voice filled with concern.
Xiao Wu nodded solemnly, her determination unwavering. "I promise, brothers. We'll be cautious, and we'll always watch out for each other. We'll return to meet you whenever we can. We'll make you proud."
With the support of Daming and Erming, Xiao Wu transformed her size to that of a six-year-old girl and ventured alongside Qin Chen into the human world, outside the Star Dou Forest.
"Sister, before we proceed, since you're a spirit beast and I'm a human, you'll need some disguise while I won't," Qin Chen explained as he pulled out a piece of amulet. "This is my butterfly amulet. I've learned that whenever a beast uses it, regardless of their age, they can conceal their presence; even a title douluo will not detect your existence."
Hearing this, Xiao Wu was astonished; she hadn't known her brother possessed such a valuable treasure. Without hesitation, she flew to her brother's arm and embraced him.
Qin Chen hugged her back and placed the amulet around Xiao Wu's neck. Together, they continued their journey.
During their travels, they encountered a group of five people. Among them was a girl with a graceful figure, accompanied by two men at her side and another two individuals in front of her. Both Qin Chen and Xiao Wu were shocked; they hadn't expected to encounter humans so quickly.
On the other side, the group of people was equally astonished. They hadn't anticipated encountering two six-year-old children venturing into the outer core of the Star Dou Forest, where most spirit beasts were at least a thousand years old.
Seeing the scene in front of them, suddenly the girl walked straight to Qin Chen and Xiao Wu. Upon closer inspection, she appeared to be a nine-year-old girl.
"Little friend, why are you here? Don't you know that this is a dangerous place?" The girl asked with a curious look on her face.
Seeing the opportunity in front of her, Qin Chen, without any hesitation, started to pretend to be a lost child.
"Sister, can you help me?" Qin Chen asked with puppy eyes. "I don't know where I am; I was chasing a butterfly with my sister and we got lost."
Seeing the scene in front of her eyes, Xiao Wu couldn't believe that her little brother could act like that, but understanding the situation, she played along.
"Sister, can you please help us? We haven't eaten in days, and we don't know the way out," said Xiao Wu while making a cute face.
Upon seeing this, the girl felt a tug at her heartstrings and answered without hesitation.
"Of course, sister can help you," the girl replied with a huge smile on her face.
Observing that everything was going according to his plan, Qin Chen couldn't help but feel a sense of triumph.
"Sister, you're so beautiful. What's your name?" asked Qin Chen while grabbing one of the girl's hands.
"Oh, I forgot to introduce myself; my name is..."
