They could potentially go around Black City, but Lacey's beast-repellant sprays had a weak effect on Class 3 Demonic Beasts. And if they were to go around Black City, they would end up deep into beast territory where numerous Class 3 Demonic Beasts roam about.
Even just this route they were on was risky as Ervin had to dash by numerous Peak Stage Class 2 Demonic Beasts.
The travel went relatively smoothly. Lacey may have felt some awkwardness needing to sit so close to Ervin's back but she didn't show on her face.
All Ervin was focused on was getting to Frost City, so he naturally didn't care in the slightest about the hypnotic womanly scent behind him.
Ervin estimated it wouldn't be too long for them to reach Black City. And it was right at that moment, when the white demonic tiger's claws dug into the ground, a brilliant flash of lightning arcs tore straight at the beast's head!
