Three sets of hopeful eyes landed on Ervin.
Ervin internally considers it. While he didn't think he would gain any useful information or really anything useful from a party, Ervin didn't think it would hurt to try. He is a firm believer in taking chances to receive great results.
Thus, he nodded and said, "Ok, I'll go."
"Perfect! I'll text you the address. It's great since they're throwing the party right on everyone's day off." Harvey eagerly said.
There were even some thoughts in him that he could finally bridge some sort of gap towards Ervin's lack of social skills.
With some last pleasantries and goodbyes, Ervin left the safe area first. He met up with John who promptly took them to their superior Mage Enforcers.
The trip was quick and silent as they entered the main building. Going directly towards one of the offices, they entered inside to be greeted by another powerful senior Mage radiating a breath of magic that heated up the air.
John went over to give his report. While Ervin vaguely listened in. Truthfully, he hasn't even bothered to remember the superior Mage Enforcer's name since it did not nor would matter to him in the future.
Ervin had to wait a little bit before it was finally time.
The superior Mage Enforcer approvingly nodded at Ervin. "Fantastic job today. Reaching the Middle Stage through a unique method and performing fast in the heat of the moment. Here's your bonus."
As he spoke, he tossed over a spatial pouch towards Ervin. Catching and scanning the cosmos pouch, Ervin was quite glad with the contents.
Over two hundred white magical crystals were inside!
This is why Ervin wanted to do so well as a Mage Enforcer. The higher your value, the better they will treat you.
For Ervin, gaining these rewards was all that mattered to him. He cared little about how this system could be flawed or anything else towards other Mage Enforcers.
The rewards in his hand gave him that needed the determination to harden on his magical studies.
...
A day quickly passed.
Another night of intense magical comprehension was a well-spent time for Ervin.
This night of comprehension even allowed him to see better insights into battle strategies and the operation of his Mana flow.
The intensity of the Demonic Bird flock left Ervin far more drained than in any other battles he was in before. Extreme combat situation is what allows Ervin's mind to be stimulated, seeing new avenues on how to apply magic to the real world.
It was an interesting concept that Ervin knows he can apply to comprehend Magic in general.
Ervin's days off would usually be spent doing comprehension while also expanding the control of his Magical Arts.
In reality, numerous hours passed since the morning.
Despite just entering the Small Success stage of Telekinesis control, Ervin was already making progress toward having 17% comprehension. A considerable feat given his red level of talent.
Time would flow by even more, but Ervin could not continue his comprehension.
He begrudgingly awoke out of his magical trance, taking a prompt glance at the time.
It only felt like minutes went by for Ervin. But it was already close to the late evening. Close to the time that the new Mage Enforcer party was about to start.
Ervin had a mind to simply call of Harvey to continue his comprehension. He cared little about how it would make Harvey feel.
Yet, at the same time, there will be a large number of Mage Enforcers. Various Mage Enforcers all with their own unique experiences that he could possibly use to his advantage.
Thus, forcing himself out of his magical mood, Ervin quickly got ready for the party. He wasn't there to impress or make connections. The best Ervin did to his appearance was to be as presentable as possible to make conversations with other Mage Enforcers.
His causal outfit slightly enhanced his decent appearance, but above all, fit in with the superior vibe most Mages exude.
It was at this time that Ervin gained a text from Harvey telling him to come down to make it just in time for when the party truly started.
Ervin swiftly left his apartment and directly made his over to public transportation.
Given Ervin's current job, he certainly made more than enough to afford his own vehicle. But because of his Mage status, he gains special priority on any public transportation.
And Ervin cared little about the novelty of having a car when his own body can one day surpass the speeds of even sound.
With a few stops, Ervin made out onto a desolate street.
Gleaming neon magical lights continually glittered all across this area, illumining everything in this fantastical glow that attracted all eyes onto here.
The flow of Magical energy here was denser and more refreshing to inhale compared to other areas.
This was exactly the place where the rich and wealthy nobles converged. No non-mages nor any poor Mages had any right to be here.
But that was on normal days.
On a special day like this, all Mage Enforcers could come down here. Ervin made his way down to the massively large manor that was exuding those neon magical lights.
When getting close, Ervin could finally see other Mage Enforcers walking on the same path or adjacent paths.
Some took notice of Ervin. But those in their own groups only gave a passing glance before going back to their own conversations.
With the Mage Enforcers' badge, Ervin along with everyone else was easily let in.
The first steps into the magical manor left many others gasping in awe. The grand sight before them left a deep impression in their souls.
While Ervin mainly felt the bright lights, loud music, and chaotically fun atmosphere a slight nuisance.
The main floor of this manor genuinely resembles a nightclub, but obviously far more luxurious than even the riches nightclubs.
Beautiful magic insignia symbols gleamed all across the walls and floors. Many spots had comfortable places to rest in, large enough to fit dozens of people at the same time. All kinds of drinks were being passed around to heighten the mood.
And above all, this entire floor was exceedingly massive, definitely more than enough to fit over hundreds of people at the same time while giving them all breathing room.
Despite the massive size, the party was still jampacked with Mage Enforcers both new, experienced, and old.
All of this to Ervin was just a blend of noise. He focused his Magical Sense, flowing out to seek out a magical aura he's familiar with.
It didn't too long to detect Harvey's magical aura. Ervin swiftly made his way over to his spot, promptly locking eyes with the earnest man once he entered Harvey's vision.
"Ervin! Come! Over here!" Harvey eagerly waved over.
As he walked over, Ervin noticed that Harvey was chatting it up with two other beautiful women and three other handsome men.
He detected a decent a flow of Mana in each of them, but they were all still Early Stage Novice Mages.
By this time, Ervin got close to Harvey.
"Hey man! Glad to see you somewhere else than the dark woods." Harvey casually chuckled.
As they shook hands, Harvey continued to say, "Well? What do you think? I'm surprised at the number of Nobles and magical geniuses here. They're really living up the party, huh?"
"Mn. It's quite lively here." Ervin faintly smiled.
If there was something he could say was interesting was an intense flow of Mana he could detect from Mages still at Early Stage Novice Mage.
Some of them exuded a denser Mana flow than Ervin's Middle Stage Novice Mana. Those kinds of people aren't called geniuses for noting. Even Ervin felt envy at not possessing extreme talent like them.
