Himari woke up to the smell of disinfectant. She inspected herself and saw that she was wearing hospital clothes.
Huh? Am I in a hospital?
While Himari was trying to recall what happened, she heard a voice call to her.
"Miss Fujioka, you are finally awake." A boy said impatiently.
"Huh?" Himari glanced in the direction where the voice came from and saw the cute boy who always followed Murine san.
Or should she say, Aki?
"Oh, it's the cute boy."
"Cute boy" the boy repeated that statement in his mind. He wore a grim expression and then said. "My name is Arata Murai not cute boy."
"Oh..." Himari said absentmindedly while she scanned the hospital room to confirm her suspicion.
"Um, Murai san, can you tell me how I got here?" Himari asked.
"Your leg was fractured due to the beating you received from Shuji. As a result, Akira ordered that we rush you to the hospital. You passed out on the way here."
"Oh..." Himari thought for a while then asked. "Is he.."
"The Akira Watanabe you knew in middle school?" Arata finished her statement as Himari nodded in agreement.
"He is, as a matter of fact, the Akira Watanabe you knew."
Himari had a solemn look on her face upon hearing Arata's answer
So it was him.
Arata noticed her look. "You don't seem too happy to hear that."
"Oh, it's nothing." Hilary gave a fake smile.
"Is it because of what happened between the two of you in middle school? "
Himari was surprised when Arata asked that question. "How do you know about that?"
"That I can't tell you, but, I can tell you this. He knows the real reason behind what you did."
"Really? He does?"
"With the power he has, he can find out anything. So he looked into what happened and got to know that you were threatened to say those things." He paused then continued.
"As a result of what transpired, he worked hard to get the title of successor to protect you from any form of injustice."
Himari was relieved to hear this but she still felt guilty for what had happened. She felt that she should have stood up for herself rather than let Rin have her way.
When Arata saw her face still covered in doubt, he smiled and then said. "He likes you so he forgave you easily. Don't be too worried."
Himari blushed and then tucked her face under the blanket.
Just then, the door opened up and Akira walked in with a bento.
"I see that you are awake." Akira looked at Himari.
Himari just nodded her head and then blushed again when she saw him.
Akira turned to Arata. "Please can you give us the room?"
"Yes." Arata bowed and then left the room.
Akira sat on the stool next to Himari's bed and then moved closer to Himari.
"Are you okay? Does your leg hurt a lot?"
"No, it feels much better thanks to you."
"That's a relief. You know, I told you not to leave the house, in capital letters. Why did you still go to the campus?" Akira reprimanded.
"Miss Rin called for me so I had to go. It wasn't my fault." Himari lowered her head looking like a wronged child.
Akira just sighed not being able to scold Himari further.
As long as you are alive. That's what matters.
"Are you hungry?" Akira asked.
"Yes, I'm very hungry," Himari said while she rubbed her belly.
"Good, I bought this for you." Akira opened the bento and it was filled with small white balls.
Himari was ecstatic when she saw what was inside the bento. "You bought mochi!"
"Yeah, you said it was your favorite. Here.." Akira grabbed a mochi and then fed Himari.
Himari felt embarrassed. "I can eat it myself."
"You have a fever and your leg is fractured. Please let me just take care of you." Akira said with a sincere look.
Seeing Akira's expression made her submit. She accepted his help and ate the mochi happily.
When Akira saw Himari's happy face, his heart softened.
"You know you're looking very cute right now." Akira got up pressed Himari on the hospital bed and placed his hand on her chin.
"I'm not sure whether I'll be able to control myself," Akira said seductively.
Himari's face was tomato red because of Akira's actions. Himari pushed him slightly and then said. "B-B-B-Behave yourself, Aki. I'm still recovering you know."
Akira frowned slightly then said. "You're right." He released her and then sat back on the stool.
Himari drew a breath of relief.
"I'll just have to wait a little longer before I can have you."
Himari puffed her cheeks. "Hmph! You beast!" She said that and then went back to eating her mochi.
Akira found her reaction to be amusing.
