Demon Hunter stiffened.
Damn, that actually sounds reasonable. But did he really not do it on purpose? Why does it still feel like he's spouting nonsense?
"Stop dilly-dallying!" Demon Hunter gritted his teeth, gripping his flask tightly, "Use these two scalpels and debride the wound now! If you hesitate any longer, I'll kill you on the spot!"
He revealed the glinting revolver tucked into his belt.
"But..."
"No buts! Move on to the next step now!" He slammed his hand on the table, his expression fierce.
"Alright," Charles nodded.
Then, under Demon Hunter's watchful eye, Charles confidently lifted the curtain and strode to the backyard. Just as Demon Hunter began to wonder what trick he was up to next, Charles emerged carrying a furnace.
