Chapter 32 - How to Behave

The creature lowered its head and took a mouthful of grass, then lifted its head as it began to chew on it.

But at the moment, it suddenly moved its head toward the sky where Leviathan and Incarus were flying. Its eyes focused on the one flying in the back, which was Leviathan, who was at the moment also looking toward the creature.

["Did it notice me?"]

To confirm his guess, Leviathan looked in another direction, trying not to focus on the creature. As a result, the creature took its gaze away from him and lowered its head to take another bite of grass.

["What sharp instincts."]

"That one has sharp instincts," said Incarus as he pointed toward the same creature that Leviathan had noticed.

"I noticed it too. Do you think it's some kind of special monster?" Leviathan asked.

"Or are all creatures like this in this world?"

"don't know. have to ask Khanel for more information about these things. But for now, let's not engage with them," said Incarus as he increased his flying speed.

They continued flying deeper into the forest. The deer-like creature, while eating its food, took another look toward Leviathan and Incarus, who were now far away from it. Soon, they disappeared from its vision.

It lowered its head again, taking another bite of grass, continuing its daily routine, ignoring the presence of the strangers.

"Did you hear? They say a messenger from the Ascended Theocracy came to the grand assembly earlier," said a young girl as she looked toward her friend, who was also a young girl like her.

"What? No way, did they really?" said the other girl, surprised by the news.

"Of course, why would I lie? And do you know the reason they came?" the first girl asked.

"How could I know? Come on, tell me," said the other girl, eager to find out the reason.

"I heard that they came to declare a war against us," the first girl replied.

"declare a war?" the other girl said a bit loudly, struggling to believe what she had heard.

"Shh, speak softly," the first girl said, a little nervously, as she looked around to see if anyone had overheard their conversation.

"AH,sorry."

"So, did they really come to wage a war?" the second girl asked, this time lowering her voice.

These two girls are walking in the corridors of the sanctuary.and At this moment, it's atmosphere is somewhat chaotic. The news of war has brought great pressure to the sanctuary, and the Elders and other higher-ups are all engaged in preparing the sanctuary for the upcoming chaos.

As a result, there is an increase in the number of people in the sanctuary.

The two girls continue to walk forward in the corridor, but they stop talking and move to the side of the corridor at this moment. They lower their heads, not daring to look at the faces of the one in front of them.

They are not the only ones who step aside from the corridor. Other people in the area also stop what they're doing and make way, lowering their heads as a group approaches.

In the corner of the corridor, the regal figure of Tiamat appears. As she steps forward and walks, the others, including Ishtar, Acedia, Fafnir, and Preta, appeard behind her.

As they approach, they saw the people bowing their heads and making way, but they pay no extra attention to them. The way of the rulers is ingrained into their core, so this kind of behavior from the people is normal for them.

"Lacks a bit of luxury in this part," Fafnir commented as he looked around the area.

"At least most parts of it are luxurious," Acedia remarked from the side.

"It does, but this makes me a little uncomfortable, seeing incomplete luxury," Fafnir grumbled.

"We can change it in the future if you like," Tiamat said from the front with an unchanged expression.

"I better do that; this makes me sick," Fafnir said. He put one of his sharp fingers on the corridor wall and dragged it. As he did, a deep cut mark appeared on the surface of the wall, producing a spreading creaking sound. He then took back his hand, raised it, and rubbed his fingers together. A golden-colored dust fell from his hand and, as he opened his mouth, it all dropped into it.

"Ah, pure gold," he said, savoring it like his favorite food.

"Ugh, I'm glad I'm not the ruler of greed," Acedia exclaimed with a tone of disgust.

"What, did you say something?" Fafnir asked, as if he hadn't heard.

"I said..." Acedia began to repeat, but at that moment, both of them were grabbed by Preta's hand.

"We are in the presence, so behave," Preta reminded them.

"Agh," the two of them realized their mistake and stopped their argument. Acedia cast a glance toward Tiamat, seeing her unchanged expression, calmed him down.

"I'll tell Incarus about the behavior of the two of you, and he will make a decision."

But then, Tiamat spoke to both of them, causing their expressions to become a bit gloomy.

"But he's the one who said something that made me angry," Fafnir complained, making an excuse for himself.

"Behave, Fafnir; we're in the presence of a crowd," Acedia's response was completely different.

It didn't take a minute to understand what happened to Fafnir.

"Dammit," he uttered in disappointment. He quickly glanced at Acedia and saw the smug smile on his face, which only irritated him more.

"I'll get you for this later," he muttered inwardly.
