After resting for the day at the house
Hotaru was bored . Bored enough that she began to tease her uncle.
UNCLE- Honey have you seen my Fishing rod??
AUNT - Isn't it there where you kept it?
UNCLE - Yes it's exactly there where I kept it that's why I have been asking you my dear.
Hotaru was well aware about her uncle. He wasn't the aggressive type but had sense of humour. So to keep things politely infort of others he would use his humour but not towards his wife. The couple would dash humour left and right over one another.They were happy.Atleast that's what was visible to the outer world.
UNCLE - If you want to bring me the fish please tell me where you have kept the rod.
AUNT - oh I sold it early in the morning since you catch them with your teeths.
UNCLE -Not funny!!
AUNT - That's what your trying. It's not funny to tell me to give you the fishing rod when I haven't seen it.
*MOMENT OF REALISATION*
UNCLE - Hotaru. Please come here my dear child.
AUNT- And now what you need her for?? Do you think it's her turn when you can't find it on your own??
UNCLE - Since you're her aunt. I am her uncle too. I have seen that child growing up since she was a toddler. I know her very well.
*Hotaru listening everything behind curtains*
UNCLE - Hotaru I know you are the smartest kids among the one I know but i can still see you feet behind those curtains.
Hotaru- Huh!!! Uncle ?? Do you need me? Are you searching for something?
UNCLE- okay okay. I know it was wrong of me not give u a warm welcome like your aunt when you arrived. I was just little tired you know.
HOTARU - oh is it so??? Then why pass a smile if you were tired??
Uncle and Hotaru shared a bond which a real family had. He didn't say much but hotaru were aware about his feelings. Uncle knew he made her upset when he didn't welcomed her this time after they lost there child and daughter-in-law. There son was dead this was known to everyone. For the outer world atleast. Hotaru didn't started angry for much and returned the rod as asked.
HOTARU - Since I have returned it. Let me join you uncle. I feel bored at home.
UNCLE - well it would be better if you ask your aunt about it isn't? Since I will be scolded to take you with me without informing. So could you ask your aunt while I wait for you?
Hotaru - ayi ayi captain.
Hotaru ran towards her aunt who was working in the kitchen. Unaware that uncle had already left for fishing. She was upset again not only because uncle made a fake promise to wait for her but also been denied to join her uncle by aunt.
HOTARU - But why??? I feel bored copped up in the house aunt. We don't have internet here or park to play . There is nothing. So let me join uncle huh???
AUNT- I am well aware of it my child. But what can be done if something is happen to you?? I won't be able to answer your mother since she sends you here on the faith she has on us. Special after we lost of beloved son.
Hotaru wasn't aware how they lost there child. She just heard the news from her mother while she was busy preparing for her exams. Paying no much attention to it she continued with her exams. Now it would be more uncomfortable if she asks her aunt about it so the topic was left there.
HOTARU- But aunt I won't go far away. Hmm?? Can I just roam around?
AUNT - No Hotaru. You are well aware we never allowed you or your brother(aunt's son) to move around. You know about the creaters living in this forest. They can be wild enough to cause you harm.
HOTARU - I know aunt. I will remain in the veranda then.
Hotaru waited for her uncle to return home. She was upset as well as bored being left alone. Aunt was busy in cooking. Hotaru earlier you to play with her cousin or talk to uncle about magic or supernatural powers. Hotaru was very much interested in the fantasy world. She sat and started out in the sky till the evening came by with a tiny human walking from a distance towards there house. Hotaru knew uncle came back with lots of fish as aunt demanded.
Out of her habit Hotaru ran towards the uncle to great him. As she approached near to the tiny human the air felt more chilly than before. A strong breeze passed by leaving Hotaru to close her eyes for few minutes. When she saw the image of her uncle disappeared she was left trembling. Her legs went weak and Hotaru collapsed on the ground. Unaware what to do the tears came rolling down her eyes.
HOTARU - Aunt... Mom... Uncle. Somebody. Please.
Hotaru went into such a shock she couldn't scream for help but stare into the void with tears rolling down her cheeks. She felt this was it . Her last moment. The moment where she dies without seeing her mother ever. She closed her eyes and felt the fresh Breeze on her face once again before she summits herself towards the end.
*What are you doing there??*
A Boy wearing Kitsune (fox)mask appeared before her. Hotaru knew it's him. Her end . He would take her away with him kill her and eat her up.

UNCLE - Hotaru?? What are you doing on the ground??
HOTARU- Sir please spare me I beg of you.
UNCLE - What are you saying? What happened?
Hotaru wiped her tears and dared to looking upward as she was shivering with fear. It was her uncle who came back after fishing. The kitusen mask boy was gone. She didn't knew how to discribe the incident to her uncle and choose to remain silent.
UNCLE - Tell me Hotaru why are you on the ground while crying and that too this far from home??
HOTARU- I saw you coming uncle. I lost my balance and falled flat on my face . My hand got scratches when I falled so it's paining.
Uncle saw her little niece crying bitterly as she would cry when she leaned how to walk. He cleaned himself and helped her to stand. He could see Hotaru trembling but he thought believing her words right now is the best thing. Hotaru looked behind and saw everything turn back to dust. She was still confused about the Kitsune boy . Where he was really there or was it her imagination from the fantasy world. She left with her uncle and marched towards the home.
