Chapter 84 - Diana of Themyscira

Allen arrived in a rural area with an enormous green plain, and in the distance, mountains could be seen.

*Waves*

Allen turned as he felt the sea breeze from behind and saw an immense ocean. Together, it was a magical sight combining fertile land and the natural beauty of the sea.

"What a beautiful place..."

Looking at the sky, he was surprised because it was even bluer than what he had seen in his world.

[The concentration of air pollution here is much lower than in your time.]

'Really?'

Allen felt calm in this place but remained on guard, as let's not forget, we are in DC comics.

Allen jumped into the sky and suspended himself in the air with Limitless. Obviously, Allen wasn't going to activate those valuable abilities just to stand in the sky. Still, similar to Sukuna's technique, he could use the basics of Limitless on his own.

Allen saw a huge island in the distance with various structures and statues. After seeing how the island looked, he smiled, understanding where he was.

"This seems like too much of a coincidence, isn't it, system?" Allen laughed while taking a deep breath.

[It seems so, but considering what will happen in the future, it must be inevitable that you come to this place.]

...

This is the Paradise Islands, an archipelago and the place where the Amazons live.

In DC, the Amazons are a very famous race known for being a society entirely made up of female warriors. It's also the place where Wonder Woman comes from.

Due to the large number of deaths in antiquity, the goddesses Artemis, Athena, Hestia, Ilithyia, and Aphrodite decided to travel to the underworld to collect the souls of women who died due to men's hatred. There, they found a soul created from stone and river mud, with which they could conceive the Amazons.

It sounds like a quite surreal story, but in DC, it's a fact. However, men won't find paradise here. The Amazons prohibit the entry of men due to their hatred for them, although they have a fairly acceptable justification, it is still exaggerated.

Ares, the god of war, is the main opponent of the Amazons and their sworn enemy. He manipulated his half-brother Heracles to gather forces and attack Themyscira. Heracles seduced Hippolyta to later deceive her, and his forces managed to loot and enslave Themyscira with its Amazons. Even after gaining freedom, they swore revenge against Ares, but that hatred extended to every existing man.

Allen shook his head and decided it was better not to have contact and observe the era before acting.

...

Allen appeared in the sky above Themyscira, the name of their great city where most Amazon women concentrated. Allen could see many women dressed in Greek style and armor throughout the city.

"Mmm... ummm, I have no idea where I am..." Allen knew that time in these places full of gods and such passes very slowly, so much so that even after centuries, nothing has changed.

'Knowing the era in Themyscira seems difficult.' Allen thought about leaving the Paradise Islands and seeing the human world to find out what era he was in.

"...huh?!"

Interrupting his thoughts, someone shot an arrow at him. Allen easily dodged it but was amazed. He was two miles above the ground and showed no trace of his presence, yet someone saw him and could shoot an arrow accurately. Allen didn't want to start a fight with the Amazons, so he used his Bullet Time to disappear.

...

"Phew... that was close!" The albino arrived in a distant forest, where he landed.

[Host, it doesn't seem like a good idea to be in this place. Not only is it impossible to blend in, but you also don't want to start a fight with the Amazons. Still, you must understand that they see every man as their mortal enemy.]

"I know... Wh-!"

Allen didn't finish his words when he had to dodge a sword that was about to cut off his arm.

"Identify yourself, god!" A girl shouted from the side.

Allen was about to get upset because first, she tries to kill him, and then she has the audacity to ask who he is.

"Me..."

Allen was amazed, not by the beauty of the girl in front of him – which was true; she was beautiful with her jet-black hair and bright blue eyes. There was no need to mention her radiant warrior-like posture with a light and attractive armor. However, what caught his attention more was who she was. She was none other than Princess Diana.

He already knew her quite well, perhaps too well, as they had shared an intimate and uncomfortable moment in bed some time ago.

Diana, seeing that Allen didn't respond, prepared to attack him. Diana looked very young, just like Allen, but he knew that this only meant she was far back in the past.

"Wait, I'm not a god!" Allen shouted to stop the girl. Starting a fight with her must be the worst possible action. It was terrible enough to enter the Paradise Islands as a man, let alone fight against the princess.

"Don't lie, I saw you standing in the sky, you are a god!" the girl accused.

"Well, I admit it doesn't sound very convincing after analyzing it well." Allen tilted his head and looked at Diana. "Wait, if I were a god, shouldn't you receive me with at least some courtesy and not attack me?"

"Mother says our only allies are the goddesses Artemis, Athena, Hestia, Ilithyia, and Aphrodite. Even though other gods are respected, they are the only ones deserving praise from the Amazons!"

Allen smiled. Diana was shorter than he remembered and less mature. It was obvious she was a younger version of herself and naturally adhered to the teachings of the Amazons. Unlike her older counterpart, she would never think of leaving Themyscira to become a superhero.

"What are you laughing at?" Diana looked at Allen cautiously and suspiciously, but when she saw him smile, she felt strange and immediately got upset. "What kind of magic did you use on me?"

Diana is from the new generation of Amazons, so she never experienced the cruelty of Ares, Hercules, and their armies firsthand. This also means she had never interacted with men.

She didn't know what to think, even if Allen didn't explicitly say it, she wasn't foolish not to know what a man looked like physically.

Allen might not look muscular, but he has a visibly masculine anatomy: broad shoulders and back, Adam's apple, and a more pronounced chin, among other things. He would never be mistaken for a woman, no matter how handsome he is. At most, he would be seen as a beautiful man, as narcissistic and unpleasant as it might sound.

"I didn't use any power, but you won't believe me, so go ahead and arrest me." Allen declared, raising his hands. He didn't want to hurt Diana, and he knew how stubborn she was. Once a fight started, it wouldn't end until she was unconscious.

Seeing that Allen had no intention of fighting, Diana became nervous. She had pursued him after seeing him leave. It's worth remembering that Diana was born special among the Amazons and had abilities and powers beyond others, allowing her to see Allen from Themyscira.

The girl remained silent as she nervously watched Allen. Should she run to Themyscira and report that she had caught an intruder? Should she kill him? No, Diana dismissed that idea when she looked into Allen's eyes.

"You can use your lasso to catch me," Allen advised, chuckling to himself as he observed Diana's predicament. She had a golden lasso tied to her waist, which she took with enthusiasm.

"The Lasso of Truth!~"

Diana remembered this artifact capable of compelling men to tell the truth. The eyes of the young and innocent Diana lit up, and she felt more secure.

"If you agree, I'll use this lasso. If I find out you're not evil, I'll let you go." Diana said, somewhat nervous.

Allen rolled his eyes, a second ago, she was hesitating if she should kill him, and now she was giving him the option to leave. Allen sighed within himself. He didn't want to deceive such a naive Diana. In fact, if Allen were a bastard, he could easily overpower Diana.

Shaking his head, recalling Diana's smile when she saw him, he couldn't harm a woman who held such great affection for him.

Allen put on a friendly smile. "You don't have to ask for my permission; at this moment, my life is in your hands."

...!

Diana felt her heart beating fast as her face turned red. "Bastard, I knew it; you're using some spell on me!" Diana got upset and went on guard again. At this rate, they would never get anywhere.

...

Allen walked through the forest with an ironic smile while his hands were tied by the Lasso of Truth. Diana was ahead but couldn't help turning around to see if Allen was doing anything suspicious, or so she said.

"By the way, I'm Allen Walker," Allen said, remembering that he hadn't introduced himself.

"Ah... I'm Diana of Themyscira." Diana also realized that fact.

Allen found it amusing, but at the same time, felt bad. Was this the right decision, or should he have gone to a more distant future? With the system, Time Skips are easy, but they can only be done towards the future to avoid paradoxes.

Both arrived at a river, and Diana stopped without looking back. "If you wish, you can drink some water," she said softly and kindly.

"Thanks." Allen wasn't thirsty, but he didn't want to waste her kindness.

He approached the shore; the water was clear as crystal and very clean. Unlike rivers in the human world, there was no risk of disease here. It was easy to see that this land was blessed by many goddesses.

Diana stared at Allen's back and asked, "Where are you from?"

Allen sighed, knowing that this was already inevitable. "You should have guessed by now. I'm a man from the land where humans dominate."

Diana wasn't surprised. However, her face became interested in the topic. "What intentions did you have coming here?"

"With no intention, I arrived here by coincidence and planned to leave if you hadn't captured me," Allen returned after drinking water.

Diana felt embarrassed with him so close and looked away. "Are all men like you?"

Allen sensed a wave of amusement. "Hahaha, anatomically, yes. But just as there aren't many girls as lovely as you, there aren't aesthetically fortunate men like me."

"..."

'Oh, shit!' Allen cursed, realizing he'd complimented her almost flirtatiously naturally.

Diana felt her head emitting smoke and almost fell. Allen extended his arms to support her, loosening the lasso of truth.

"Are you ok?"

However, this had the opposite effect; unable to bear the embarrassment, Diana pushed Allen with super strength, causing him to crash into many trees.

"No!" Diana was scared as she turned blue at what she had done.

She was aware that her strength surpassed most Amazons, including the ancient ones. Needless to say, she thought she had killed Allen. Diana ran at full speed, not knowing why she felt so terrified, with pain in her heart at the idea of having ended Allen.

She reached the pile of broken trees with a pale face and trembling hands. "Allen?"

"Is something wrong?" Allen appeared from behind, making the girl open her eyes wide.

Allen extended his hands and wiped her tears; Diana didn't even realize she was crying.

"I'm sorry..." Allen felt terrible, like a bastard dirtying an innocent young girl. Diana shouldn't meet a man, especially someone like him; she needed to mature before that.

"Why are you apologizing?" Diana was glad to see Allen well, but she was confused to see him wear a guilty expression. She didn't know what to do or say, but she didn't want him to make such a face.

...

Allen knew this couldn't continue, so he took Diana's hand and led her to the river, where he sat with her on the shore and put on the lasso of truth himself.

An important detail is that Allen can resist the effects of the lasso either by the system or by the Infinite, but he doesn't do it by his own will.

"Diana..."

Allen went on to tell her everything about men and women, attraction, love, feelings, the fragility of the heart, and how vulnerable a person is to someone they love.

Allen didn't hold back; he also told her about the consequences of heartbreak, the sadness of betrayal, and the suffering that can come from feeling something for the wrong person.

Diana wasn't a foolish girl; she simply lacked a lot of knowledge. She listened attentively to every word from Allen. Due to the lasso of truth, his words should have great convincing power, but Diana didn't need it. By looking into Allen's eyes, she could already tell what kind of man he was.

"Not all men are bad. In fact, I want to think that most of them aren't, but there are some who, like Ares and Hercules, won't hesitate to deceive you."

"..."

Diana lowered her head. Allen had talked about many things for an hour. She changed her gaze several times, from confusion to astonishment, from confusion to anger, and finally from bitterness to tranquility.

Diana had learned a lot from Allen and could control her heart. Due to this, it was natural to feel attracted to a man like Allen, but that wasn't love, and she must understand that.

"Thank you..." Diana stood up and bowed. "I apologize for being so rude and aggressive. You are very kind not to hate me for that."

Diana gave a beautiful smile. "I'm glad that the first man I've met is you."

...! This time it was Allen who lost his breath. Whether it's luck or destiny, he always seems to meet excessively beautiful women.

Allen coughed, turning away. Staring at Diana for too long could be counterproductive for himself.

[What are you worried about? It's obvious that you'll end up with her as a wife... just accept it already.]

To be honest, Allen thought he would get to know Diana more in the future, maybe even snatch the place of the pilot who had found Diana before she left the paradise islands, but it didn't happen.

Allen looked at Diana, and she had a playful and mischievous smile. She had reached the point of knowing that Allen was embarrassed.

[Regretting telling her everything?]

'At least she won't be deceived by bad men anymore...'

"Stop there!"

A group of Amazons emerged from everywhere, surrounding Allen.

"Wait!"

"Princess, stay away from that man!" A large and muscular Amazon approached with an intimidating presence. "All men are prohibited here; whoever is found will be executed!"

Allen frowned. 'And now what?'
