*Rogue's POV*
I was sitting in the classroom, looking at my classmates who were asleep, except for Peter and Warren, who had gone to ask Professor X for help, Jean, who should still be there, and of course, Allen...
It was terrifying… seeing that deadly beam shoot out of Scott's eyes like a rocket thruster. Or how Bobby started freezing everything around him, or Jean and her inexplicable fiery powers—she was supposed to be a telepath or something like that.
But the scariest part was my own power going out of control like it was trying to devour the world... My body trembled because I felt, at that moment, that my power was so strong it could kill a normal person instantly.
Old memories came flooding back... memories from my past...
The day my powers first activated is still fresh in my mind...
It was a bit chilly, with a clear sky and low humidity. I was walking down the street when a cat approached me—a stray that the neighbors fed. I used to put it on my way home... and while I was doing that, just as usual, my powers activated...
That day changed everything...
For two years, I had to be careful not to touch anyone. I even fought at my mom's birthday party just to avoid hugging her.
Why is the world like this? I asked myself for years why I had to be demonized for something I didn't choose. No one can decide whether they're a mutant or not, and instead of helping us, people treat us like monsters.
It took me a while to understand why this was happening until Allen showed us the reality of *The Boys* and how a company could make extremely powerful beings look like something positive.
Then I understood how our world stirs up conflict. How mutants are portrayed as monsters by society, and that image is adopted by the families of newly discovered mutants. Of course, part of the blame lies with the parents. Is it that hard for them to give their children a chance?
I know my parents love me, but I've heard of better families falling apart just because they discovered one of their children is a mutant. No.... is not just about being a mutant, but also that my power is terrifying even to other mutants... I knew that even if someone accepted powers like Kitty's or Jean's, no one would easily accept a power like mine, one that works by hurting others.
....That fear forced me to hide my power from my parents...
I had two choices: run away from home or hide my power with all my might. Maybe a Rogue from another timeline would have run away, only to be found by Professor X or that Magneto guy whom Professor X warned us to keep our distance from.
I chose to hide my power, to lock myself in my room. I preferred letting my parents believe their daughter was a troublemaker rather than them discovering I was a mutant. Day after day, online classes felt similar to in-person ones, but they lacked the social life—not that I cared much before, but it was an unpleasant feeling knowing that girls my age were going to parties, hanging out at the mall, going on dates, and having fun… while I was trapped in the prison I built for myself.
All that changed that day, the day I met the strangest group possible. It's funny; back then, Allen could sing "A Thousand Miles" spontaneously, However, looking at the current Allen I don't think something like that will happen... partly it's a shame, but partly it seems more reliable and gives me the feeling that everything will be fine no matter how desperate the situation is, as if you could stand up to anyone without taking a single step back. Most people would've gone crazy in his position, and he knew how to grow amid all the madness.
I can't explain with words how dazzling it is to see him overcome each challenge. I would've never left my room without his influence, and of course, I wouldn't have had this relatively normal life. Yeah, it's relative since I still can't go out to the mall, but something is better than nothing.
I made a mistake…
I always thought my feelings for him were admiration, like watching a TV hero. I mean, I even have a poster of him in my room that I hoped he'd sign. Though he'd probably get mad because he doesn't seem to realize how much merchandise is sold with his name on it.
From T-shirts, collectible mugs, decorative figures, and other trinkets—many of them can only be bought at the Fan Shop during live streams.
I wish they'd include more items. Ever since the channel's points system started, I've been saving up. I got a 20k point bonus for being a loyal viewer and a 50k bonus for being in an exclusive chat. As far as I know, there are two: one run by Allen's girlfriends—yes, plural, the guy shamelessly has more than one—and the other is the veterans and founders chat… from what I understand, Ruby got a lot of points for being in both categories… she won't tell me how many, but she seems dazed.
I'm getting off-topic. The point is, I didn't realize my feelings were more than innocent admiration. (She literally gave Allen the chills because "Ghost" would stare at him intensely all the time.)
It was true that I had seen him in the world of video games, but it was not the same... when I met him... when I saw him with my own eyes, I realized I had underestimated my feelings. No, I hadn't even understood how much I liked him—it was an overwhelming and uncontrollable emotion. I always thought I was like Athena, but I'm more like Aphrodite! ❤️~
But who could blame me? No! Go ahead, judge me all you want, if you're going to do it, do it! I can't resist this desire! Before, at least, it was manageable thanks to having classmates, and my embarrassment over doing something stupid outweighed my desire to actually do something stupid.
But at the worst moment of my life, he came to me. Of course, deep down I knew he would come to help me, but when he did… words fail me…
I could say it was like being in an abyss of darkness, and a ray of light appeared out of nowhere, but that wouldn't be enough!
I could say it's like being lost in an unknown place, suffering from hunger, dehydration, and injuries… at the moment, I give up when all seems lost; he would appear in front of me, but that wouldn't be enough either.
I could say it was like the world turning its back on me, everyone hating and cursing me, detesting me, not wanting to be near me… just at the peak of the purest, most awful despair, he reached out his hand….. but that wouldn't be enough.
It was horrible, agonizing, desolate not being able to get close to anyone, knowing I could kill them. But… as I expected, I couldn't kill him… even when my power went out of control, I couldn't kill him. It wouldn't be enough to explain the feeling of his hand on my head and turning to see that even after becoming a monster, he still came for me…
Damn it! ~
I couldn't resist. I knew millions of people were watching me, and still, I couldn't resist—I went to hug him. This time, he didn't use his power, and I could feel his warmth, the warmth of another person's touch that I had forgotten.
As expected, my power didn't affect him, or it's better to say it could not. My power was like a hungry wolf foolishly trying to devour a dragon.
I don't care about the logic behind it, I'm just happy to touch someone, and that someone is this person! ~
I don't even care about what happened before anymore!🖤~

[Rogue just wants a hug and to kidnap Allen... the usual 🍷🗿]
...
Rouge had a charming and bright gaze as she watched Allen. Her eyes seemed to plead for attention, and Allen even felt bad for overlooking her, but a teacher couldn't show favoritism.
...
MJ – Gwen
Gwen – You don't need to ask -_-
Felicia – She completely fell for it...
Natasha – Honestly, I thought she'd last longer...
Rias – Huh? So this is normal, I see~
Cate – It doesn't seem to bother you, does it?
Rias – In our society, harems are quite common.
Akeno – Ara ara~ it seems your world is much stricter with those things. As Rias said, we demons have a bit more leeway~
Ivy – Then it's best if Allen doesn't visit your world -_-
Annie – Nothing's going to happen, right?
Harleen – This will end up in court...
Kara – He deserves it...
Maeve – Allen is going to be arrested. This time, there's evidence, and they know where he is...
Barbara – It's true; the FBI does have jurisdiction there... oh god.
Donna – It was something impossible to avoid...
Emma W – I understand, I understand her very well!
Megan – An expected outcome~
Artemis (Bana-Mighdall) – At least try to hide it, Rogue. Hehe...
...
(I wouldn't be surprised if the FBI already has agents around X-Mansion.🍷🗿)
...
"I'd like to introduce someone, although you should already know her."
A door appeared in the classroom, and as it opened, Cate walked in. She had a simple smile as she looked at everyone.
"This is Cate Dunlap, and she'll also be joining this class..."
Allen felt a kind of bloodlust nearby; when he looked, it came from Rogue.
"Nice to meet you all... well, almost all of you..." Cate glanced sideways at Rogue. "Looks like someone is not welcoming me. Heh, how cute~..."
Cate wasn't a shy girl; she had already shown the potential to be the school queen before. On the other hand, Rogue wasn't shy either; her gothic style wasn't just for show.
"Cate Dunlap... How was your birthday?" Rogue smirked mockingly; she had had a major issue with Cate Dunlap.
"Haha... a bit noisy but it was solved by sleeping in his bed, it's very comfortable~ (It wasn't just her)."
Rogue saw some similarities to herself, but that feeling darkened when she saw Cate using her situation to get close to Allen.
Rogue got there first but now it looked like she was copying Cate's past. Those hugs were supposed to be Rogue's; she should have been the one to share her secret with him first.
"Come on, girls, no fighting; we've had enough trouble..." Allen didn't understand the resentment between the two and simply assumed it was something that happened in a private conversation.
He placed his hands on Cate's shoulders and invited her to sit down, but she smiled and took the opportunity to tilt her head, brushing Allen's hand with her cheek.
Rogue gritted her teeth...
"Rogue, what are you doing?"
Jean had recovered and whispered at Rogue, who crossed her arms moodily but didn't seek a fight.
Cate smiled, feeling like she had won; however, Allen's hand started to feel cold, and she stiffened as she saw the serious look on his face.
"I'm sorry..." Cate lowered her head and went to her seat.
...
Allen continued with a more normal class, explaining some aspects of mutant powers from experience.
Leaning against his desk, Allen said, "There are many mutant powers, and I firmly believe they can all be controlled, However, they require a lot of time... I'd like to follow a standard path, but many abilities are indeed problematic."
At this point, the students had calmed down and were paying close attention to Allen.
"Scott, lend me your power for a moment..."
"What?"
Alex immediately stood up, "Professor Walker, what are you trying to do?!"
Allen raised his hand to calm the students, "Many of you don't know this because I've never done it, but I can modify powers. However, it's limited to my own... whether to remove characteristics, divide them, combine them or..."
"That's absurd!" Scott shouted.
Allen gave a faint smile, "It is, hahaha."
Even Allen was aware of the absurdity of his abilities, but at this point, was it really surprising?
Scott looked at Allen for a moment. He didn't trust him; his powers had gone out of control in that place, but it was also true that Allen hadn't abandoned them.
Scott closed his eyes, 'Besides, as Jane said, if Allen Walker wanted our powers, there would be no reason for him to bother doing this; he could just take them.'
"Alright..." Scott narrowed his eyes, "But let it be clear, I don't trust you..."
"That's fine," Allen replied, maintaining his half-smile, though the lazy look in his eyes disappeared as they gleamed.
Allen snatched Scott's ability, but it felt different than when he did it with The Boys. It was as if the power tried to resist, even if only for a moment.
"Interesting..."
Scott felt like he had lost a limb, there was no pain, but there was the sensation that something was missing. It was very strange, yet he didn't worry too much and focused on another detail. He took off the red glasses he always wore, which blocked his vision.
Scott trembled as he saw something he never expected to see again: colors! Blue, green, yellow, and seeing pink was something he had thought impossible since he could only see through a red lens. Scott took a deep breath and composed himself. He had once wished to be rid of his power, but now he didn't want to lose it. People like Allen Walker could exist, and Scott believed someone had to have the power to stop them.
Allen ignored Scott's feelings and focused on his task. He didn't stop as he walked from the desk to the center of the classroom in front of the students.
'Sys...'
[Ability editing mode activated.]
A black anvil appeared in front of Allen, it was so dark black that it absorbed all light.
Allen raised an eyebrow, 'Seriously?'
[Would you prefer something more modern?]
'No... this is fine...'
Allen closed his eyes for a moment, and a semi-transparent red orb with a light at its core appeared in his hand. It was as if a star was trapped inside a crystal ball.
Allen gripped the orb in his hand and immediately felt its characteristics. It was a very intuitive process... no loss... no delay... Allen grasped the air where a hammer manifested with his other hand, invisible to everyone but clearly present.
Thor – Oh!
Superman – Haha... you never cease to amaze me. Now you have your cosmic anvil, though it doesn't seem designed to forge stars... how interesting.
Allen placed the orb on the anvil with his left hand and struck it with the hammer.
The attention of the spectators was absorbed by each blow, and the sound echoed throughout the universe, literally something that had always been being changed.
With the first blow, he broke the structure...
With the second, he rearranged it...
With the third, he repaired it...
When finished, Allen grabbed it and absorbed it. He could steal abilities but not return them, so he had to use ten fragments for this.
"Done," Allen said while his eyes looked at Scott.
Scott snapped out of his trance when he saw Allen's eyes on him. He couldn't respond, but he felt it, his power had returned. However, a chill ran through him, so he quickly reached for his glasses. But they flew into Allen's hand, guided by telepathy.
"Walker!" Scott glared at Allen; it was no time for jokes, his power...
Scott realized that even with his power, he didn't need to wear his glasses.
Allen smiled and began to walk between the rows, "It seems it worked. Some of your powers have very annoying characteristics. When I touched Scott's power, I noticed that the energy from his vision didn't originate from his body but from somewhere else. His eyes functioned like a portal, constantly releasing that energy. What I did was give him a door he could open and close."
"That's amazing! I wouldn't expect anything less from Mr. Walker!"
"Enough with the flattery, Colossus..."
"Colossus?"
Allen sighed, "Peter, look at yourself; you've gotten bigger."
"Hahaha, it's true... Professor Walker, could I use that nickname?!" Peter's eyes shone.
"You're free to do so. In your case, your power just needs practice. As for Warren... I might be able to make your wings disappear and reappear only when you need them..."
Warren stood up, looking shocked and unable to speak. "What?!...a"
Warren sat down when he realized his rude actions but had an excited expression."I!... I'm sorry."
"Don't worry Warren... Alex, Robert, Kitty, Cate, and Jean just need training." Allen's gaze turned to Rogue. She trembled as Allen approached and stroked her head, "Your ability is complicated and powerful. I need more practice before trying to modify it. Will you forgive me for that?"
Rogue was enjoying Allen's touch and didn't even notice what he said, but she answered anyway.
"Yes~ whatever you want ❤️~"
Allen smiled and shook his head, knowing his lovely student hadn't listened to a word he said.
Cate, Jean, and even Kitty looked at Rogue with jealousy. Although Allen said he didn't have favorites, it seemed like Rogue was in the lead.
The girls exchanged unfriendly looks as if a war for the throne of Professor Walker's favorite was about to begin.
Allen returned to his desk to teach a bit more before a break.
At that moment, he saw his phone had many unread messages and several missed calls, both from Emma Frost and Tearju.
Allen frowned, "Guys, the break came early... looks like I have things to take care of..."

A/N: It would be very funny if the war for the favorite student was won by Peter 🗿
