Chapter 258 - 258 The Avengers are born, Reward for the Girls.

Loki is dead?

That question didn't leave Thor in peace. After calming down, he decided to go where Allen had told him Loki's body was.

Heimdall should have informed his parents by now. Thor knew his mother would be devastated, although she never said it aloud, he knew Loki was her favorite son.

Upon landing, Thor searched the area. It shouldn't be difficult. There were fallen trees and destroyed ground everywhere. However, after searching for a while, Thor didn't find Loki's body.

"Did beasts eat him?" Thor quickly erased that image, remembering it was Midgard and there were no beasts capable of devouring a person without a trace.

"Another possibility is that someone took Loki... but who?"

...

The world fell into another predicament, barely having assimilated parallel worlds when aliens arrived.

For the general public, there was a significant change in their lifestyles, and fear was the reason.

A parallel world is so surreal that even if shown thousands of proofs, it wouldn't feel real. Moreover, it's so inaccessible that it's practically as if it doesn't exist.

But aliens are different; no matter where you are in the world, there's no guarantee you won't see a spaceship in the sky at any moment.

Some people had nervous breakdowns, and enthusiasts of the apocalypse gained more popularity, forming groups and, in the worst cases, cults.

People tend to cling to whatever they can when they're afraid, but it's precisely why the world keeps turning despite the uncertainty.

The Avengers...

Most people already knew most of the members, but seeing them under the same banner was unexpected. Of course, there was dissatisfaction with the name because it seemed to imply they wouldn't arrive on time and therefore sought vengeance.

The members were officially announced, all thanks to Fury.

...

Allen was preparing dinner for all the girls at his house with Gwen, MJ, and Natasha's help.

"Allen, next time find a girl who can cook, hahaha," MJ laughed, thinking of the number of people in the house.

Gwen rolled her eyes. "Don't say it like he's going to buy a new phone."

Natasha chuckled discreetly, squinting mischievously.

"We do need more skilled girls in domestic duties, don't we, darling~"

Allen, putting a pig into the oven, stopped his movements. He knew they were just teasing.

Still, he was curious to know what the girls were doing.

Taking advantage, Allen expanded his perception to check what the girls were doing while he cooked.

The system had to expand the department further, creating several new rooms, enlarging the living and dining areas, and adding more bathrooms.

At this point, the laws of physics went on vacation, and this floor measured twice as much inside as outside.

...

Raven was taking a bubble bath in one of the new rooms. Allen withdrew his perception to respect her privacy. They weren't family or his girlfriend, so it wouldn't be right.

Starfire was in the living room, watching television, curious to see if the same programs existed in both worlds. Allen worried she might find a show about herself but then remembered the chaos of the DC Earths; perhaps seeing alternate versions of herself wouldn't be so strange.

I mean, there's an Earth where Batman and Superman are women and another where they're villains, so for Starfire, any story she saw would hardly feel like seeing herself.

Rebecca lay headfirst on the sofa next to Starfire.

Artoria had changed into casual clothes and was having a mature women's chat with Diana.

Bocchi was inside a trash can in the hallway. Allen felt this was strange but didn't have time to investigate.

Kara was at the kitchen door; she wanted to help but didn't know how to cook. Of course, Allen wouldn't blame her; she spent many years in a space capsule, so it's a miracle she can adapt to human life.

Nokotan was sitting on a stack of Shika Senbei in an empty room, looking serious. After a moment, Nokotan stood up, gazing into the horizon.

"Allen-san, I believe I have discovered my mission in this world..."

Allen didn't know whether to be impressed that Nokotan knew he was observing her at that moment or bewildered because there were several deer in the room. Remember, this place is protected by the system, so not just anyone, anything, or animal can casually enter.

Allen didn't understand what was happening, but several deer gathered around Nokotan, and she began to glow golden.

It's worth noting that for some reason, Nokotan loves dressing like a classic Japanese girl her age, in a sailor outfit.

"I will bring salvation to humanity~," Nokotan smiled kindly

Allen cut off his perception; he couldn't comprehend what they were doing, the ultimate life form, but he didn't want to know more for the sake of his mental stability.

2B... she was on Allen's shoulder; she had no other interest than protecting him. In fact, she was very reluctant to leave Allen when he ordered her to go help Natasha and the other girls face Loki.

Apart from her personal feelings, there's a great responsibility she bears as a YoRHa capable of fulfilling the original mission for which she was created. It would be a spit in the face of all androids in her world if she spent her time on anything other than protecting and serving Allen.

Allen had gotten used to it; among the dolls, she was the least likely to want to be away from him, but at the same time, she was very discreet and aware of giving Allen his space. For example, she would not go into the bathroom with him unless he permitted her, 2B also tried not to be present when Allen was intimate with any of his girlfriends if he did not allow it.

Of course, it took time because initially, 2B didn't know the limits of interacting with Allen correctly.

That doesn't mean the android won't watch Allen sleep all night; one might find that terrifying, but given that it's 2B, Allen forgives her because he knows she tries to store as many memories as possible in case she ever has the chance to reconnect with her world.

...

There was one more guest playing cards with Felicia, or rather being cheated by her, Carol Danvers", better known as Captain Marvel.

"Give it up already~," said Felicia amused.

"NO!"

Felicia grinned at a pile of fake bills beside her. Monopoly money; Allen didn't allow them to gamble with real money because he knew Felicia's personality and how she sometimes behaves like a cat playing with her prey.

At first, Carol was offended that Allen thought so little of her poker skills; she'd been in the military for many years, and this was almost mandatory to play there.

After twenty defeats, Carol slumped at the table while Felicia smiled as if her craving to annoy others had been satisfied.

...

Allen smiled at how full his house was; it felt like a home and not a cold bachelor pad.

[Now we just need the kids...]

Allen dropped a pot full of stew that spilled on the floor.

"Allen, are you okay?!" MJ rushed over immediately; Gwen and Natasha also stopped what they were doing, and even Kara entered the kitchen, worried.

It was understandable that something would upset Allen so much that he would make such a mistake, it must have been serious.

Allen, embarrassed, didn't show it; how would he explain why he dropped the pot?

"Reparo," said Gwen.

"Gwen?!"

The pot, along with the stew, returned to its original position, and Allen was surprised at how much Gwen had improved. It made sense; she had contact with the Harry Potter world, which helped her enhance her magic.

...

Ten minutes later, everyone sat at the table except Bocchi, who was in her trash can but in her place.

Rebecca interrupted as Allen tried to get Bocchi out of her bin to eat, but she was too embarrassed in front of so many people.

"Hey, it seems Fury's on TV."

Rebecca noticed something that caught everyone's attention, although they didn't see a phone in her hand; they knew Rebecca was as volatile with gadgets as she was with vegetables on her plate.

She projected a hologram onto the table from a watch she had in her hand.

...

"As you already know, Earth, humanity suffered an attack; this wasn't just a problem for one country but for the whole world."

Fury began his speech, by laying out the damages, material, human losses, disruptions in services, and the impending economic recession.

"We understand that we were not alone in the universe, but until now, it was never a concern."

"This was a clear and strong message; we must set aside our differences to find a way to defend ourselves in the future."

Fury's words carried weight due to the magnitude of the invasion; this wasn't just in New York but worldwide, so the impact and repercussions were much greater.

"Of course, not all hope is lost, from desperation, hope arises."

"What a cheesy phrase," Felicia said, bored.

"It's necessary to calm people down," Artoria added. "People tend to fear the unknown, and there's nothing more unknown than the infinite."

Allen watched Fury on the screen and grimaced; he had said he didn't want his image used for politics, but this time, it was understandable.

"The most terrifying thing is realizing that the stars in the sky could be eyes watching you... but I wouldn't worry. Fury will make use of everything he has." Allen sighed.

...

"The Avengers... many of you may have already heard of them, but the reality is we need a force not affiliated with any country, a force willing to face world problems... apocalyptic ones."

The girls looked at Allen upon hearing Fury's last word. At the same time, the conference's rating, broadcast worldwide, skyrocketed to enormous levels.

Since the conference used such a massive communication medium as television, they soon even surpassed Allen's streams, which averaged over a hundred million viewers.

"Tony Stark as Iron Man, Thor the God of Thunder, Hulk, Steve Rogers our Captain America, Captain Marvel, Hawkeye, these last two are lesser-known but their skills are exceptional, I can assure you..."

Fury paused before continuing, leaving many people dissatisfied as they expected another member, one who hadn't yet joined.

"Tsk..." Allen couldn't help but click his tongue upon seeing Fury deliberately prolonging the announcement. As a content creator, he knew Fury was building up anticipation.

"The final member requested we not use their image for ads and propaganda, but I managed to convince them to do it to give people a sigh of relief. Yes, the final Avenger is Allen Walker."

The networks crashed upon this announcement; Allen had made it clear he hated the idea of being a superhero, and even now, he probably wasn't one, but in terms of apocalyptic crises, he was the right person to solve them.

The conference ended, but the uproar had only just begun due to this announcement.

Their powers had already been demonstrated, and now they were together, which was as terrifying for some, including governments and criminals, as it was reassuring for most people.

...

Allen finished dinner, took a shower, and then went to bed. The girls decided to stay overnight; there were plenty of rooms rather, the system could create rooms indefinitely.

At night, Natasha entered Allen's room wearing a black negligee while he was studying at his desk.

Allen smiled, raising an eyebrow. "I don't object, but there are guests, and it wouldn't be appropriate, don't you think?"

Natasha smiled and hugged him from behind. "Oh~ but you can block the sound from a room if you want to, right?"

Allen couldn't deny it. Natasha nibbled on the young man's ear playfully as she saw him hesitate, then went to bed.

"I was wondering if I could ask you for a massage as a reward?"

Allen shook his head, getting up from his chair and walking towards the bed. "You don't need a special reward to ask me something like that."

"Hee hee, you don't get it, darling," Natasha, lying face down on the bed, turned and winked at Allen. "If I asked you, you'd do it willingly because you love me, but if it's a reward, you're obligated to do it, and it makes me feel excited ❤️".

Allen chuckled, placing his hand on Natasha's back, then leaned in close to her ear.

"You know teasing me will only make things harder for you..."

Under Allen's threatening gaze, she smiled provocatively. This made Allen smile; he snapped his fingers, blocking the sound in the room.

A/N: Do you think some girl is asking for a baby as a reward? I think she looks suspicious Diana but it would be very absurd... right? XD
