Harry was taken to the infirmary, while Ron and Hermione only had some scrapes and superficial wounds but nothing serious.
Allen, for his part, didn't say much about what happened during his trial; he only mentioned that he faced a creature and emerged victorious.
Seeing no injuries on him, Hermione guessed it must have been a dragon or something similar. She couldn't help but sigh at Allen's achievement at such a young age. Unexpectedly, she didn't feel envious, even though she knew she would have been if someone else had accomplished it.
Dumbledore didn't ask questions; he knew Allen Jr. was going to face an abnormal Boggart, but he couldn't spare time for him. Even if he had, he wouldn't have been able to see what was happening inside the room.
Allen was irritated that the Philosopher's Stone had been stolen; it was an object that shouldn't fall into the wrong hands. However, he couldn't blame Dumbledore entirely, as it was his existence that was causing changes—good, bad, and always unpredictable.
The entire incident was kept secret from the students, but the Ministry of Magic eventually found out what had happened, and as a result, Dumbledore was summoned to account for it. However, he returned a week later.
After that, things quieted down. Allen had a couple of arguments with Pansy; Daphne remained annoyed with him, and Susan seemed shy in his presence.
Hermione and he restored their relationship, and for now, she hadn't attempted anything more. Nevertheless, Allen could feel her gaze on his back every time he left a room.
...
All the students gathered in the Great Hall. It was time for the winning house to be announced.
Dumbledore stood up from the teachers' table and looked around at everyone in the Great Hall.
"Congratulations to everyone who contributed to their houses this year!"
"There were great achievements that earned everyone's recognition... but there were also those who made mistakes that harmed their house... and let's not forget the points that were discreetly earned through small achievements."
Dumbledore's gaze swept over everyone and then lingered on Harry for a moment before refocusing on everyone else.
"Gryffindor, this year you earned 350 points!."
The Gryffindor table applauded but with subdued spirits. It was as if they could sense not only that they were losing but also that they would get the lowest score.
"Hufflepuff, this year you earned 375 points!"
The Hufflepuff table opened their eyes in disbelief; they were used to finishing last, but this time they were even above Gryffindor.
"Slytherin, 386 points!."
The Slytherin table celebrated, being the highest score so far. Everyone wore joyful faces except Pansy, who looked downcast, and Daphne, who snorted.
"This time there were highs and lows in the scores... Slytherin would have been in first place if not for a recent deduction of a hundred points..."
Dumbledore surprised everyone by making an interjection before continuing. Draco clenched his fists and lowered his head.
Slytherin students, especially the older ones, stood up from the table, unable to hide their surprise and anger.
Losing a hundred points was a severe blow; one must consider that students in all years typically take a whole year to gather from three hundred to five hundred points normally.
One student had caused them to lose a quarter of that!
"Quiet!" Dumbledore exclaimed; his authority as headmaster and wizard made all Slytherin students sit down. "A student committed a serious offense against one of the professors... this was not an accident or something that can be justified. It was a personal attack on a respected figure at Hogwarts... the student should be grateful that the punishment was limited to this."
All the students were stunned; it was true, that a student had attacked a professor, it was too surreal. You can have a favorite and least favorite professor, but even if you can show dissatisfaction with it, you wouldn't dare to do such a thing. No matter what magical family you came from.
All Slytherin students felt angry; if it weren't for that student, their score would be 486.
Dumbledore took a deep breath and glanced at Allen this time it was Allen for real, and he looked at the old man suspiciously. Of all the brazen things this old man did in Harry's first year the biggest one was his unbridled support for Harry.
"Ravenclaw... 456 points!" Dumbledore exclaimed, looking reluctant.
There is a situation that is well known to all in the world of Allen, and it is one of the reasons Dumbledore does not have a good reputation. After Slytherin's victory was declared, he started giving points to Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Neville.
Neville is fine, but it doesn't make sense for Dumbledore to give points to them for passing tests designed for them.
Allen was already dissatisfied with the outcome of everything and was not going to allow something so absurd.
– "Dumbledore, my son, and Harry are not so pathetic as to need a pat on the back for something they didn't achieve," he said.
One can praise Harry's bravery, Hermione's intelligence, Ron's loyalty, and Allen Jr.'s power, but in the end, they were given an opportunity that no other student received.
Why should they receive points for that?
Allen refused to allow that...
As a result...
"The winning house this year is Ravenclaw!" Dumbledore exclaimed.
Everyone was stunned, and no one applauded; the Ravenclaw students looked at each other; had they won? But they are Ravenclaw!
Allen exchanged and returned to his seat as a student; he saw Harry dejected and patted him on the shoulder.
"Allen?"
"At least Slytherin didn't win," said Allen a little louder, and the Gryffindor students laughed. Then Allen stood up and looked at the Ravenclaw table and applauded.
Harry stood up and did the same; all the Gryffindor students cheered and joined in, and even Hufflepuff joined them.
Hufflepuff along with Ravenclaw, are the houses that rarely win and they were glad that Ravenclaw got the win.
Minerva smiled proudly at Allen's actions; Flitwick did too, and even Snape, who had no dislike for young Walker, nodded in approval.
Knowing how to lose is a rare but highly valued characteristic by teachers; it indicates maturity and mental strength, humility, and above all, recognition from their peers.
"Even though you compete with each other all year, you are all Hogwarts students; knowing how to acknowledge defeat is a sign of mental strength and a humble heart!" Dumbledore said with a smile out of nowhere, making many spit out their drinks. What does this cheeky old man intend to do?
"Fifty points to Gryffindor!" Dumbledore shouted.
And the whole place fell silent; obviously, this does not snatch victory from Ravenclaw, but it moves Gryffindor from last place to second.
Shortly afterward, Allen slapped his forehead, but his classmates cheered louder; he had surpassed Slytherin, and that was enough for this year.
...
Elsewhere in London, a dark wizard arrived at a building; he entered wearing robes that were not at all appropriate for formal English dress.
He entered an elevator and reached the top floor, walked through an elegant corridor, and arrived in front of a wooden door.
There was no one to indicate to him whether he could enter, but the door opened on its own; the man swallowed nervously before entering.
He was greeted by a heavy and dangerous atmosphere; in the center of the office was an old man reviewing documents.
"...!"
The man, who had the intimidating aura of a ruthless killer, now became nervous and even frightened in the presence of the old man.
He sat reading documents with focused concentration. One of his eyes had a white iris, and the other was black.
The man didn't know if he should speak, even though the fact that he was standing there meant that the old man allowed his defense.
After two minutes of suffocating silence, the old man spoke. "What does a Death Eater who abandoned his master want?"
The man removed the hood to reveal the face of a man with a scar on his cheek. "Sir... I was never a real Death Eater; I simply infiltrated among them."
It was obvious that when Voldemort revealed his existence, everyone would know that he was not dead; that's why he refused to do it, and only because of the pressure generated by Allen's presence, Voldemort decided to take the risk and reveal his existence.
"Oh?..." The old man looked at the man with a grimace then stood up and walked to a side of the office where there was a door. "No matter... follow me."
The man hesitated but knew that the old man could kill him instantly.
Upon entering through the door, he was dazzled, and then he realized that he was no longer in London.
It was a room with a view of the beautiful Swiss Alps with an intense green in its meadows and pure white in the mountains.
The man silently followed the old man to the entrance of a mansion. The old man rang the bell, and soon the door opened.
The man didn't know if he should enter, but since he had betrayed his companions, he had nowhere else to go. The Aurors were hunting him to recover the stone, the Death Eaters loyal to Voldemort hated him and would give him a painful death if they found him.
He had no other option but to go to someone of Voldemort's caliber.
So the old man walking in front of him was the legendary Gellert Grindelwald. Everyone thought he was dead, but a year ago, he reappeared in the world, although he started as just a rumor.
The ex-Death Eater knew the truth Grindelwald had been accumulating wealth and power in the Muggle world and discreetly in the magical world.
Voldemort might be a terrifying being, but he was in a miserable state. However, this old man was on par with Dumbledore in his prime.
...
Grindelwald led the Death Eater to a room on the second floor. Upon opening it, there was a warm atmosphere far from the cold place full of corpses, death, and agony that Voldemort had accustomed his followers to.
"As expected, Grindelwald is a gentleman with class," thought the man. However, Grindelwald's next words made him freeze.
Grindelwald leaned towards a wooden chair in front of the terrace. "Miss... this man is the fugitive Death Eater."
...
"..."
Grindelwald poured himself a cup of tea and sipped silently. His actions seemed to indicate that he had done this several times before.
The image of the former Dark Lord, before Voldemort, acting like a servant almost made the man fall.
A woman's sigh was heard in the room. "You escaped with the Philosopher's Stone, betrayed your two companions, and killed them to obtain the stone..."
Her words were neutral and emotionless, but they seemed to suffocate him. The man knelt; if the woman could subdue Grindelwald, he could only think of one person.
The man, of course, knew there was one other person he could go to with the Philosopher's Stone, but he had to do it. Rumors said that this woman was ruthless and did not want subordinates, so she would kill any dark wizard who came to her, with only two exceptions.
Narcissa Malfoy had done business with her under the table until she decided to join her, and the other was a mystery; some said it was Bellatrix, but there was no confirmation yet.
A soft laugh echoed in the room. "You wanted to use the stone, but you're not an alchemist. You wanted to sell it, but everyone is looking for it, and it would be suicide to show up with it..." said the mocking voice of a woman. She showed disdain and a kind of military aura in her words; they brought a chill that froze the blood.
The man groaned in pain; it was all true. He had a huge treasure, but he was just a criminal Death Eater and had no way to use the Philosopher's Stone.
Such a thing would get him killed within days, and as a mercenary, he was hanging by a thread. His only chance was to hand over or exchange the stone for a chance at wealth or at least to regain his life.
"It's an interesting story," said the gentle voice of another woman, but without her face showing. Despite being a pleasant voice, it sent shivers down the man's spine.
The man was sweating and remained kneeling; his instincts told him that if he moved even a little, he would be killed.
Two women appeared beside the woman sitting in the chair.
Grindelwald approached the man and bent down, then took the stone and handed it to the woman.
"Sure about this? This is like turning your back on your former lover..." said the woman to the old man.
Grindelwald recalled Dumbledore but shook his head. "Everyone makes their choices..."
The woman dressed in black took the stone, while the breeze blew through the window, letting her raven hair sway and her pale skin reflect the sunlight.
"This world is incredible... a stone capable of sustaining human life indefinitely... there are too many mysteries in this seemingly ordinary world."
Her eyes gazed at the sunlight through the stone.
"I suppose it's a temporary goodbye," she said as her words floated on the breeze.
Allen would leave Harry Potter for a while before returning for his second year...
