While 2B delved into her memories, Rebecca did the same.
Rebecca retracted a blade that extended from her arm. She silently examined her hands, reflecting on the amount of cyberware in her body; when she shifted into combat mode, it surpassed even that of Adam Smasher himself from her world. There were no signs of cyberpsychosis or any rejection despite the extensive modifications. She had even used David's Sandevistan... and still experienced no side effects.
If she were to return to her world, it would cause quite a stir, but why return? There was nothing left for her there, except perhaps a faint desire to visit her friends' graves and perhaps kill Adam Smasher if he was still alive, and to visit Falco if he hadn't died yet.
In Cyberpunk, life was worth less than a hundred credits, and death was a certainty, only changing in its timing and how memorable it would be.
She looked at Allen's domain, resembling a black sphere floating in the middle of the room.
A domain was a separate space created by a Jujutsu sorcerer to utilize their own rules, granting an unfair advantage over opponents. However, it also had its flaws as a technique. Rebecca hoped that Allen had managed to win when he emerged, but if not, she would push her body to the limit to assist him, even if it meant death. Rebecca smiled at her own thoughts.
"I think I understand your feelings better now, David... and why you reached that limit..."
Rebecca remained silent, staring at the center of the domain.
(Flashback)
Rebecca had been very happy lately. All of Allen's women were in other worlds, and in this world, there were no other girls Allen could lay his hands on, except Minerva. However, Minerva lacked any experience in relationships and was worse than many girls when it came to matters of the heart.
Since Wednesday, Esdeath, and Makima had disappeared, only Artoria and Rebecca remained. Due to Allen's relationship with Artoria, though, she wouldn't share a bed with him. Therefore, Rebecca had been monopolizing Allen's bed.
During one of those passionate nights when Allen was alone with her, Rebecca lay naked on Allen while catching her breath. She adored doing this because she could feel Allen's warmth all over her body while hearing his heartbeat and breathing.
Allen, for his part, was aware of her feelings and lovingly embraced her during this time. It's worth noting that Rebecca is usually very direct about Her desires and emotions but she has difficulties with love.
Rebecca lay down while her face pressed against Allen's chest. She was a straightforward girl who loved to be appreciated. She came from a world where people were used to betrayal and abandonment.
"Do you think I'm foolish?" Rebecca suddenly asked.
"No, why?" After answering Allen asked in confusion looking down at where she was on his chest.
Rebecca sat up, leaning on Allen's chest, allowing him to see her naked body.
"I'm just a simple girl to handle. All it takes is a little love, and I'll be in the palm of your hand..."
Allen was calm, although he didn't expect this answer. It was rare for Rebecca to show insecurities.
"I don't think that way."
"I know." Rebecca lay back on Allen and lightly bit his shoulder. "The truth is, sometimes I dislike my personality. Maybe if I were a different type of girl, I wouldn't have fallen so easily..."
Allen placed his hands on Rebecca's shoulders and lifted himself to sit on the bed with her on his lap.
Allen's gaze turned serious. "Tell me what's wrong..."
Rebecca clicked her tongue; she was usually very expressive with her emotions but didn't show her weakness.
Allen patiently waited for her to speak. Rebecca was a straightforward girl; once she decided on something, she rarely regretted it. She was open with her emotions and direct with her desires.
She died a tragic and pitiful death. She couldn't avenge her brother, couldn't save her friends, couldn't protect her home. She thought the only thing she could proudly bear was that she gave her life for her friends. But upon arriving in Allen's world, she of course investigated what happened after she was killed by Adam Smasher.
She knew that David had died...
Rebecca cried... but quickly wiped away her tears. She had accepted David's death ever since he succumbed to cyberpsychosis; it was only a matter of time.
She lost everything and died... but that wasn't her end...
She revived as a doll. It might seem silly, but the fact that she had some freedom made her feel calm. She only had to obey until she was killed again.
Rebecca laughed at her situation...
Then she met him...
It only took one look in his eyes to know he was the kind of man she had never known. She liked him a lot, from his way of speaking, his appearance, personality, everything about him appealed to Rebecca.
But what truly made her fall were his eyes...
There was no anger, greed, desire, malice, madness, ambition, jealousy, lust, disgust... none of that.
She came from a city accustomed to finding corpses in the streets and people steeped in drugs on corners. She didn't know she could ever see a look like that.
She knew Allen wouldn't be a bad master... so why deny her destiny?
Rebecca accepted being Allen's doll...
But she also wanted more. It started as physical attraction, but Rebecca melted instantly when she was appreciated.
He never treated her like a possession, never abused her, never ordered her around. From the first minute, it seemed like he could do whatever he wanted with her, but he didn't...
It didn't make sense to Rebecca. She had seen people sell their families for a few hundred credits. Allen, having every right to treat her like a slave, treated her as an equal.
She fell in love...
...
Allen blinked upon hearing her thoughts and smiled. Rebecca couldn't stand it and pushed him down on the bed.
"Tsk~ Don't smile like that while we're naked!❤️"
"Is it my fault?"
They had another round before embracing in bed.
Rebecca kissed Allen's neck "I see you with other women and see how you interact with them... every word, every interaction seems slow but significant... unlike with me."
Allen understood.
Rebecca was worried because she had fallen in love too quickly and thought her feelings were superficial because of it. She thought maybe it wasn't even love, just dependence because Allen treated her so well.
Allen chuckled, and Rebecca bit his shoulder harder.
Allen took Rebecca's face in his hands and made her look into his eyes. His gaze was kind and affectionate.
"Rebecca there is nothing false in your emotions, not a single lie, not a shred of untruth."
"..."
Rebecca blushed and hugged him, then apologized, knowing her concerns were silly. Allen did not value love in terms of the time it took to be born.
"I also had my doubts," Allen paused and stroked Rebecca's back, "I know that loving more than one woman isn't possible, isn't realistic, isn't normal... so I decided to be abnormal, I decided to believe that all my love is real for the rest of my life and that I can love you and love Gwen, MJ, Natasha, Diana, Felicia, Wednesday, and any other woman I may come to love, and no love would be false... but it's not my right to decide that."
Allen pushed Rebecca away again, and their eyes met. "You must answer that question, Rebecca, do you believe my love is real?"
'I'm such a fool,' Rebecca thought. Her eyes welled with tears, wondering if her own feelings were superficial. "I didn't even realize how much you worried that your feelings for me weren't sincere, silly, and adorable, even if they were false, they would be my greatest treasure! But I know that's not the case, there's no falsehood in your eyes! If others think your love isn't real, let them go to hell!"
Rebecca smiled, and they both laughed before kissing and spending the night connected not just physically and emotionally but spiritually as well.
...
Returning to the present, 2B and Rebecca weren't the only ones worried.
Gwen clutched her chest, unsure why but inexplicably anxious. This has happened to many women in many places.
It didn't make sense. The monster Allen faced was terrifying, but they had seen him fight against beings capable of annihilating galaxies and endangering the universe. No woman close to Allen should have to worry about something like this.
The system didn't show what happened inside the domain, perhaps Allen's decision. Shortly after, just a few seconds later...
The domain was cracked!
The enemy was clear, originally just one of many Boggarts in Harry Potter's world, it had lost all its weaknesses. This had reached the point where if it became Voldemort, it would be on par with the Dark Lord in his prime.
No one, not even Artoria, could anticipate that a simple Boggart would become a Lovecraftian creature practically invincible. Unfortunately, its opponent was not something scared of spiders or the monster under the bed, nor someone who feared Voldemort.
The monster's power was clear: immunity to almost all damage, instant regeneration capabilities, and if that wasn't enough, it could copy the power of its opponent. It was a creature without any sense.
However, Allen wasn't defenseless...
It was no coincidence he had survived multiple opponents, even some destined for victory, and his power seemed limitless.
...
The domain cracked, and as the creature and Allen appeared in front of everyone, Allen didn't distract in the slightest; he turned a hundred fragments into a sword that radiated iridescent light.
Allen's attacks only worked once before the monster analyzed and, if desired, used them.
Allen wielded the fragment sword as it shimmered.
"Just once..."
Allen disappeared in front of the creature and reappeared behind it; the sword cracked and broke, but at the same time, the creature was cut into pieces.
Allen drew his wand and individually encased each piece of the creature...
...
Aizen – This brings back memories...
Urahara – Hmm, are there any regrets about killing Captain Ichimaru?
Aizen – Regardless of his goals and betrayal, Gin stood by my side for many years... his death was a great loss...
...
In the air floated a hundred cubes containing the creature's separated body.
"I can harm it using the fragments, but I'm not capable of killing it... to kill it would require many fragments, but if I divide it into a hundred parts..."
Ichimaru Gin was a Shinigami from the world of Bleach; in an attempt to kill Aizen, he left a piece of his sword in Aizen's chest when he stabbed him. Allen had done the same; the sword didn't break, Allen fragmented it into a hundred pieces left with each piece of the creature when he cut it.
Allen looked at the floating cubes and extended his hand. "If I destroy each part individually, the damage should be enough to cause mortal harm..."
Allen closed his hand, and the cubes imploded, creating black holes that soon vanished. Only a small golden fragment remained in the center of the room, Artoria's Excalibur Avalon scabbard.
"Bingo!"
Allen looked at this as he fell to the ground. 2B flew and caught him immediately, and Rebecca arrived and began scanning him.
"M-Master, you have twenty-three broken bones and t-three internal hemorrhages..." said 2B in panic.
"Yeah... I figured something like that happened..." Allen replied calmly. "It's okay, I'm fine".
"Tsk! I don't even know why I worried!" Rebecca scolded upon seeing Allen's satisfied face, though her eyes betrayed deep relief.
"Hehe, sorry Becca!" Allen responded, understanding that he had probably worried many women and would need to apologize to each one.
Allen decided to leave that for later; right now, he wanted to assimilate his current state. Despite the pain and the number of fragments he used, Allen felt he had gained something better than if he had used those fragments for some other power.
[Host, how do you feel?]
'Very sore...'
[...]
'But I also think I gained something very important...'
