Chapter 20 - Doomsday

As Allen faced Doomsday...

The football team's coach broke the door to the principal's office and entered along with the principal and several teachers. Everyone heard the screams and came, but they found no one inside the office.

"Impossible," murmured a short, bald man in a gray suit; he's the principal.

He's a man willing to sell his mother for money. It's not that his salary is low, but when a bodyguard arrives with enough money for his early retirement and the only condition to help ruin a boy's life, the principal's response is obvious, and he accepts.

"No, they should be here, why?!" said the sweating principal.

"Do you know what happened?" The coach looked suspiciously at the principal, unable to ignore his words.

"I..." The nervous principal almost slipped up, but he managed to stop himself, closing his mouth, then coughed and put his hands behind his back. "Coach James, we must find the source of those screams; it's unacceptable for something to happen to a student!"

The problem with lying is that it becomes difficult if there's no truth to support it. This scenario was set up by Harry, his friends, and the principal, but there was no victim or criminal, until the principal knows where Allen Walker and Nikky Clover are, he'll keep his mouth shut.

"Perhaps it was a prank," said a teacher from behind.

The principal wanted to curse the impertinent teacher when he heard him because he knew he wouldn't receive the money and wanted to redirect his anger toward someone.

"That doesn't matter; we must investigate. No one screams like that for no reason," the coach turned and went to search the surroundings, and the other teachers followed suit.

The principal collapsed into his seat, tired. He took out his phone and called Harry Osborn.

"Young Osborn."

"What's up, Patrick... tell me what worked and I'll take the money to you personally~" Harry responded cheerfully.

The principal became nervous and frightened. "About that..."

The principal had to say it even if he didn't want to; he told Harry how the plan to incriminate Allen Walker had failed and that they couldn't find the girl or Allen anywhere.

Harry exploded and cursed in five different languages. "I asked you for one thing, just one thing! Can't you do it? Do you know all the money we've donated to this school? Do you know how many times I've covered your ass?"

"I'm sorry, Young Osborn. I'll make sure to expel Allen Walker by tomorrow."

"Do you think that's enough?! The point was to make him look like a sexual abuser! Do you know what it cost me to brainwash Nikky?! Piece of shit!"

Harry hung up, left the bathroom, and walked through the empty corridors. Although school had ended, there were still many students in the hallways.

Harry felt the piercing stares of many students, and when he looked up, they all gave him looks of disdain.

"What's going on?" In an attempt to control the situation with his charismatic attitude, Harry spoke to everyone, but it didn't work.

Suddenly, Gwen appeared behind him and kicked him in the groin.

"Uhhh! Gwen Stacy?!" Harry fell to the ground, his face was blue. He looked back to see an angry Gwen. Beside her was MJ with a phone, glaring at Harry.

"The police are on their way..." said MJ with a dark expression. "You've gone too far..."

Harry didn't know what happened, but he wasn't so stupid as not to know that something had happened. "Wait! Police!? What happened?"

Harry didn't understand what had happened, but no one intended to answer him.

"Harry..." Peter approached his old friend and looked at him with pity.

"Peter, tell me what's happening." Harry could barely sit due to the pain.

Peter shook his head and didn't respond.

...

"Director!" a burly man entered the principal's office, scaring him.

"Mike?! They found Allen Walker," the principal jumped in fright, but upon seeing that it was the coach, he calmed down.

"It's not necessary; I found the bastard," without saying more, the coach subdued the principal against the desk.

"Wait, what are you doing?!" yelled the principal in pain, feeling his arm being pressed against his back.

The coach responded in a low voice, "I knew you were a bit of an idiot, but I can't believe you stooped so low... I'll personally hand you over to the police."

"Wait, Mike! Let's talk! What happened?"

"I have all the recordings, and there are over a hundred witnesses. Your phone and Harry's have records of the call."

The principal's face turned blue as he understood what had happened; his conversation with Harry was overheard.

The director was dragged out by the coach.

The moment they left the office, Wednesday appeared in her doll form while removing her hand from the red button on the office's microphone.

That's right, she had broadcast the director and Harry Osborn's conversation over the school's speakers. They didn't notice and kept talking because Wednesday also broke the nearby speakers for both men.

"It's so easy, it's boring," Wednesday taunted with a barely perceptible smile at how easy it was to deal with these two while twirling her scissors in her hand. "Now, where did he go?"

Wednesday disappeared to catch up with Allen wherever he had gone. As things spiraled out of control in the school, the police arrived, and shortly after, someone leaked the information that Harry Osborn had been arrested, and the media arrived.

Amid cameras and spotlights, Harry got into the patrol car, his face desperate. It's not that he was afraid of going to jail; with his lawyers and just a simple conversation, they couldn't lock him up. But the problem was his father, Norman wouldn't be very happy about this, and that was what truly frightened Harry.

...

Allen looked back with apprehension, fear, and desperation. It's not as simple as seeing a monster or a wild beast; Doomsday is Doomsday.

But ironically, it's also a pitiful creature. Doomsday was once a Kryptonian like Clark Kent, aka Superman, but a monster decided to use him as an experiment. It snatched an innocent child and threw him into Krypton's wasteland, where there were only beasts and desolation.

It's needless to say the cruel outcome of that heartless experiment, but the demon didn't stop there; he wanted a living weapon of mass destruction.

From what remained of the child, he cloned it and threw it to the same fate as the previous child, without a heart, repeating this experiment again and again.

Over time, his sick experiment turned the child into a monstrous creature, acquiring the ability to constantly adapt and evolve, a virtual immortality that made it stronger each time it was hurt and turned into a stronger monster each time it suffered mortal wounds.

The child no longer cried... the child no longer died... or rather, he died and came back to life... he was no longer a man; he was a monster.

He screamed and attacked, he screamed and killed, he screamed and destroyed everything in his path.

It was complete, the weapon, the monster, the creature that only lives to kill and destroy.

It was done... thus, Doomsday was born...

Just to give you an idea of how dangerous Doomsday is, if he were to face Darkseid (without his true form), he'd tear him apart without problems.

And now, the prehistoric Kryptonian turned into a death machine that was just a few meters away from Allen.

The creature looked at Allen for a moment and then didn't hesitate, without delay, without doubt, Doomsday raised its huge fist intending to crush Allen.

However, Allen was not defenseless; he had a trump card he obtained in the gacha with an iridescent ticket.

"Will it work?" Allen wasn't sure.

If his opponent were someone else, if it weren't Doomsday, Allen would be sure that at the very least, he wouldn't die instantly.

But he has no other option; there's no way to escape. He can only face this walking apocalypse.

At the last second, fear left Allen. He was surprised because a second ago, he was very scared, but in the last second, that fear had vanished.

"System... sorry," Allen apologized in case he lost the bet.

[Don't worry, Allen... I'll stay until the end]

Allen smiled and extended his hand as the fist descended. Not far away, a man with a bat mask watched this unfold.

"Hurry up, Flash!" the man shouted through an intercom.

A red flash appeared, and Allen was gone before the furious gaze of the monster.

...

.

When Allen realized it, he was a few blocks away from Doomsday.

"That was close, buddy," Flash patted Allen's shoulder. "I can't take you any further. Take that girl and go."

Allen remained silent as he looked at the man in front of him; he was a superhero very familiar to Allen, dressed in a red superhero suit with a lightning bolt symbol. Flash coughed as he was being stared at, then turned and picked up a spiked mace from the ground.

"I'll buy some time until reinforcements arrive," Flash disappeared the next moment.

After Flash left, Allen was no longer scared. Despite feeling fear at the beginning, Allen looked to his side and saw an unconscious Green Lantern next to a man with a hawk mask and black wings. Also on the ground was Harry's puppet.

Both men were superheroes from the famous Justice League, but they were defeated. Allen touched his head and took a deep breath. He had been close to death again.

"System."

[Yes, host]

Allen thought about escaping. In fact, with his personality, the last thing he wanted to do was stay near Doomsday. But what will happen next?

He couldn't wait for a Flash or any other superhero to appear and help him.

Before proceeding, Allen went to the gacha store. He had intended to save the golden tickets until the gacha level evolved. That's why he only used the iridescent ticket.

But now he needed to get all the power he could in case he had to defend himself from Doomsday. Without wasting time, Allen threw the twenty-four golden tickets into the gacha.

...

Flash arrived in front of Doomsday and, using his speed struck Doomsday with the hawk man's mace. However, it barely harmed Doomsday. The monster roared and tried to strike Flash.

Flash had a cold sweat as he felt Doomsday's fists graze him. He knew that if he was hit even once, it would be dangerous.

Flash didn't have time to question what it was or where it came from. All he knew was that Doomsday had already defeated two members of the Justice League and didn't hesitate to kill civilians.

Flash increased his speed until he was just a red blur, hitting the creature many times. However, Flash was unaware of one thing: this monster was a Kryptonian.

In an instant, Flash found a fist in his path. Caught off guard by Doomsday's sudden increase in speed, he couldn't avoid it and was hit, crashing violently into a wall.

Like Superman, Doomsday isn't as fast as Flash, but he has enough speed to see, react, and even anticipate Flash's movements.

Flash was unconscious with several internal injuries, but Doomsday knows no mercy; it was set on destroying the fastest man in the world.

"We arrived just in time," a deep voice came from the rooftop of a building; it was Batman, the second Batman Allen had seen, much younger than the previous one.

Batman took out three small bombs and threw them; they stuck to Doomsday's head and exploded, breaking the protective helmet.

Beneath was a humanoid with gray skin and what appeared to be bones jutting out from its body.

The monster's red eyes locked onto Batman, who immediately ran away, making sure Doomsday followed him.

Batman, with his great intellect, knew it was a monster too powerful to deal with using normal means. Batman's priority was to buy more time while they brought in the rest of the league and located Superman.

However, he underestimated Doomsday; the latter threw a path at Batman, and he barely avoided it, feeling a sharp pain in his shoulder, knowing he had been injured.

At that moment, John Jones, alias Martian Manhunter, arrived. He's a green Martian with enormous powers, and even Superman has admitted he's unsure if he could defeat him.

John looked at the creature in silence, angering the monster, which began throwing different objects. The Martian can become intangible, making it very difficult to physically harm him.

Bruce sighed in relief from the rooftop of a building. But suddenly, the monster turned towards him with clear intentions.

"Not so fast."

A laser beam struck Doomsday, and then a trident attacked Doomsday's body, pushing it through a building.

"What is that thing?" Cyborg asked, a man-half-machine descending from the sky in front of Batman.

"I know as much as you, but it's very strong," Batman replied, holding his injured arm.

"It doesn't matter; we have experience with big, strong guys," declared Aquaman, the Atlantean king.

However, both men fell silent without any further comments, unlike Flash, who laughed from the ground.

On the other side of the building was Doomsday; he got up without any wounds. His eyes sharpened, and his blood boiled.

But that didn't matter. The real issue was that his gray skin started to change, aesthetically changing a little, but his skin was different.

Doomsday advanced, smashing through the building. The league was surprised by the sudden increase in aggression.

Cyborg turned his robotic hands into two energy cannons and aimed at the monster with even greater power.

"Take this!"

Releasing the maximum energy output, a huge ray struck Doomsday's body.

"Impossible!" Cyborg couldn't believe it; his attack, which should have easily melted metal, didn't even affect the monster.

Doomsday charged at Cyborg.

"Look out!" Aquaman intervened, stabbing the monster's back with his trident, but couldn't injure him. "Damn it, what are you made of, infernal creature!"

Doomsday turned and struck the king of the sea; Aquaman felt as if he were about to be torn in two and flew through several buildings.

"Ah!"

A woman fell from the sky and, with her sword, attacked Doomsday in the chest. However, the sword couldn't pierce Doomsday's skin.

"Diana," said Batman from a distance.

"Sorry for the delay, guys. Let's end this..." declared the powerful Amazon.

Doomsday remained silent, his eyes fixed on his new opponent.

Diana felt as though she were being underestimated and she attacked again, but Doomsday easily caught her sword.

"What?!"

Diana was surprised. She had a strength similar to a Kryptonian, but she couldn't break free.

Her eyes fixed on the monster, and for the first time, she felt a chill. Finally, Diana understood the kind of thing she had before her.

Doomsday mercilessly struck Diana with his fist, creating a shockwave along with an explosion that pushed the other heroes, shattered the windows of many buildings, and created a crater covering the entire street. Diana was in pain on the ground, unable to believe what had just happened.
