I observed the wiggling shadows under my feet and activated my karma. The mark stretched from my left palm to my forehead, and the shadows began to solidify gradually.
Initially, it was just a slight movement when I tried to control them, but with each failure, the next attempt became easier.
My karma mark emitted a translucent light as the shadows finally solidified into a tangible form. I willed them to become a sword, and they obeyed. I willed them to take the form of a clone, and they complied.
I gazed at the shadow clone before me, realizing that this was the true shadow clone, crafted entirely from the shadows themselves.
I swung my sword at the shadow clone, but it deftly leaned back, avoiding my attack.
"So, it does have its own sense. Is that what I'm feeling in the back of my mind?" I pondered, thinking about the slight itchiness in the depths of my consciousness.
I noticed the clone nodding, confirming my suspicion. There was indeed a connection between the shadow and me.
With that knowledge, I willed myself to switch places with the shadow, immediately swapping positions. 'This should be fun; such a useful ability,' I thought with a grin.
Despite my successful use of the karma mark and shadow abilities, I couldn't help but notice that I felt considerably weaker than the last time I had used my karma mark. The presence of limiters might be a factor, but it didn't seem right for me to be this weakened.
I sighed while contemplating the possibilities of my shadow abilities. 'I know I can switch places with my shadow, but can I teleport?' I wondered, curious about the extent of my new powers.
While experimenting with my abilities, I suddenly felt a connection and turned my attention to a table. Its shadow revealed a faint cut, which upon closer inspection, appeared to be a marking of some kind.
A white karma-like diamond mark had been carved into the shadow, and I could sense it distinctly. It wasn't just the part of the shadow where the mark appeared; I could feel the entire shadow and the table with exceptional clarity.
With a single thought, the table began to sink into the shadow. As it fully disappeared into the shadow, the table's shadow rapidly converged towards me and merged seamlessly with my own.
I discovered that I could extract the table's shadow from my own, and not only that, but I also sensed a slight increase in strength with the table's shadow merging into my own.
I realized that I had the ability to also take objects and place them into a shadow dimension within my own shadow. In this dimension, the objects shrank in size.
When I wanted to retrieve them, I could enlarge the object to its original size and remove it from my shadow dimension from anywhere on my body.
'It seems a bit like Isshiki's Daikokuten and Sukunahikona,' I thought, recognizing the similarities in this newfound power.
'Exept the fact that I can't shrink whatever I can see,' I realized as I took the tiny table in my palm and tossed it. With a simple mental command, the table swiftly enlarged to its original size and collided with the wall.
I noticed that there was no shadow on the table, and before my eyes, the table simply vanished, reappearing within my shadow dimension unharmed, without any damage from its collision with the wall.
'This is simply overpowered!' I thought in amazement, recognizing the immense potential of this ability derived from a mere fragment of Shibai's DNA. This made me wonder, 'If I got this much from just a sliver of his DNA, how powerful must Shibai have been?'
I sighed as I walked to the side, retrieved the table from my shadow dimension, and placed it back where it had been, making sure to leave my mark on it, hidden underneath.
Now with this ability, I could choose to leave whenever I wanted. However, I decided to play along and make it appear as if I were loyal to them. My plan was to escape with Kawaki during the container transfer mission. Meeting Naruto was something I looked forward to.
In the next four years before the container transfer mission, I'll focus on training to improve my abilities completely.
'Amado, I need to ensure that guy won't harm me,' I thought as I prepared to exit the room. But suddenly, a sharp pain shot through my right eye, and I cried out, clutching my hand to my eye in agony.
"What... what is this?" I questioned in bewilderment, gazing at the mirror nearby. My eye had transformed, displaying a dark color with purple circular patterns within the iris.
"This? It's not Rinnegan." At first, I thought it might be the Rinnegan, but when I looked closely, I saw it didn't have the same color and complete eye circles like the Rinnegan.
I considered it and attempted to bring the table into my shadow dimension. However, I winced in pain as the table started sinking into the shadows. From this, I deduced, 'It seems that this eye is what fuels my shadow abilities and dimension.'
"Damn it!" I cursed as i thought, 'This could be a problem. I used the power for only five minutes, and I'm completely drained. Curse that Amado for putting limiters on my body and making me this weak!'
I got up and turned off the karma mark, and I immediately stumbled, I was left almost completely drained of my energy after the unconscious use of my eye.
I see, Jigen intended for me to be weaker than him and significantly weaker than Code. Was it because I was going to become an Otsutsuki, one of those so-called superior beings that Boro preached around?
'Once he reincarnates in Jigen's body, I'll kill him, that bastard,' I thought, clenching my fists so tightly that I drew blood. However, the wounds healed after a few seconds, making me suspect that Amado had done more than he had let on.
Why is that everyone else is so dangerous, except for me?
