The dense forest quivered under the forceful caress of nature's brisk breeze, causing the recently moistened trees and grasses to sway vigorously in opposing directions. An icy chill reigned over the skies, so piercing that one could only yearn for the promise of impending snowfall, hoping that perhaps the biting cold might relent, even only for the initial hours.
