Chapter 2 - Ch 2 ~ Arranged Marriage

Knowing the betrayal of her lover, makes Alesha's life fall apart. The wedding plans that had been designed in such a way had to be cancelled, without giving Adrian any chance at all to mend their relationship.

Not only her. Her parents didn't want her to choose the wrong partner. She couldn't imagine how her parents must bear the embarrassment because her marriage to Adrian had to be cancelled, while wedding invitations had been sent out to several of her relations.

This fact certainly makes Alesha very down. Even these two days, she had only shut herself in her room. She seemed to be sitting on the sofa by the window, crying over the fate that was not on her side this time.

"Get out of here! Don't ever bother my daughter again!"

Screams were heard faintly, making Alesha divert her attention for a moment. Putting the sense of hearing even sharper.

"Until whenever, I will not let my daughter fall into the arms of a heartless man like you!"

Alisha rose from her seat. She raised her hand, wiping away the tears that had been rolling down her cheeks. She then stepped hastily, toward the source of the commotion that had disturbed her daydreaming activities. Just wanted to make sure what's going on out there.

That's right guess. Her father seemed to be arguing with Adrian on the terrace of the house. In fact, she also saw the figure of her mother, who was watching the debate.

From her father's loud voice that could be heard up to her room, it was certain that the middle-aged man was furious with Adrian.

"What did you want to come here for? Are you still not satisfied destroying my feelings, Adrian?"

Alesha's voice managed to divert the attention of two pairs of eyes that were there, including Adrian who was still standing in the doorway of her house.

"Alesha, you have to listen to my explanation first. Everything you see is not true!"

"Come on, Adrian. Everything is clear, you don't need to explain anymore. I don't want to see you again!"

There are no more chances for Adrian. No matter how hard the man tried to explain, Alesha still couldn't believe what she was seeing.

Adrian left the house feeling disappointed. It's the same with Alesha who is far more disappointed to see the attitude of the man she loves so much.

Two days after Adrian's betrayal was discovered, Alesha's parents suddenly made new plans so that the marriage that had been designed in such a way would go on. However, their plan surprised Alesha quite a bit.

"No, Dadd! I don't want an arranged marriage!"

Alesha balked at her father's plan to set her up with another man.

"You agree or not, the wedding must go on as planned. I don't want to bear the shame of having to cancel the wedding!" emphasized Christian Morgan, chuckling.

"But, Dadd—"

"What else do you expect from that man? Open your eyes, Alesha! He has hurt you," concluded Christian angrily.

Two days of thinking about his daughter's wedding which will take place next week, Christian can not sleep. This was because he was worried that his good name as a well-known businessman would be tarnished.

If he doesn't anticipate it immediately, then this news will soon be widely discussed by people out there, including his business partners who have clearly accepted the invitation to the event.

"Dadd, please."

Alesha pleaded with a sad look. However, still do not melt the heart of a Christian Morgan. A middle-aged man who has a fairly strong character and is hard to melt.

"Tomorrow you have to meet your future husband!" Christian insisted a moment before leaving Alesha's presence.

"Dadd!" call Alesha. However, Christian, who had walked away with his back to her, still didn't pay attention.

There seems to be no other choice. Alesha is definitely not going to be able to avoid the arranged marriage. Unlucky.

"Hopefully that man doesn't agree to be betrothed to me," she whispered just before laying down on the bed.

At exactly 10.00 a.m, Alesha looked neat in a white dress that was only knee-length.

Because this afternoon, she will hold a meeting with the man who will be betrothed to her.

"Alesha, are you ready?"

Alesha, who was still standing in front of the dressing table staring at her reflection, seemed a little startled to hear the voice of Ellia Morgan, her mother.

She took a few deep breaths, before answering her mother's call outside the room.

"Enough, Mom!" Alesha shouted while turning towards the door.

The curly-haired woman with the length of her back immediately reached for the sling bag that was ready on the dressing table. She then left her room. A middle-aged woman was still standing at the door.

"Mom ...." Alesha called while frowning.

Ellia, who immediately understood what his daughter meant, smiled faintly, then rubbed the 24 year old woman's back.

"Everything will be fine, Dear. Trust me," said Ellia trying to calm him down.

"But-"

"It's impossible for Daddy to choose a bad man for you," concluded Ellia, not giving Ellia the opportunity to find reasons to cancel the match.

Alesha's hopes are dashed. Even the people she thought could help get out of this problem, turned out to be unable to do anything and instead supported her father.

"Go! I've sent the address and photo of your future husband. See him soon. Don't make him wait too long," Ellia asked in a very gentle tone.

The middle-aged woman could certainly feel how her daughter was feeling. However, she also could not do much, let alone have to oppose her husband's decision. Something she would never be able to do in her entire life.

"Do I go there myself, Mom?" Alessa looked at her questioningly.

"Yes."

'Ah, I thought I'd go with Mommy and Daddy, but great. I think it's better to meet the man alone,' muttered Alesha as she sighed with some relief.

Reluctantly, Alesha went to a cafe where she would meet the man in question.

Arriving at the cafe, Alesha immediately took her cell phone back from her bag. She looked at the portrait of a man her mother had sent her intently.

Without removing the phone from her hands, she glanced around the room. From a distance, she found a man who looked exactly like the photo on her cellphone screen. She repeatedly matched the man's face with the photo, before deciding to approach there.

"I think they are the same person," she said slowly.

Her steps immediately lifted. With a slightly doubtful feeling, she approached the man who was sitting alone at table no. 12.

Her heart started beating fast. Tremor began to attack. She didn't know what to do first when she met this man. Greet? Ah, she finds it so embarrassing. However, it is also impossible if you just stay silent.

Until finally, her footsteps stopped exactly two steps from the table occupied by the man. The feeling of nervousness is getting stronger. However, she tried to brush it off.

"H-hello."
