Year 767 in the Royal Capital Celeste's Slums.
There is a lady with dark purple hair and dark blue eyes doing charity work. She spends most of her time doing what she thinks is the best way to spend it. She, accompanied by a few of her sisters and two paladins from the Church of the Goddess of Time, was handing out food in the slums, cleaning the place, and healing the wounded and the lightly sick with a healing miracle. That lady's name is Neviah, a devout believer of Kronia, the Goddess of Time.
At the church after the charity work. Neviah often spends her time praying in front of the statue of the Goddess of Time. On that evening, while she was praying, a sudden glow emitted from the statue, as did Neviah's eyes and body. Neviah could hear and see something despite her eyes being closed. She began to see images of a disaster, and she then started to announce something despite having no control over what she was saying.
"The world will one day meet its end at the hands of a chaotic god on its descent. The God of Probability will bless a man with his powers for humanity to have a chance."
After uttering those sentences, she fainted, and her fellow sisters and brothers brought her to her room to rest. While Neviah was asleep, many of the high-ranking officials of the church began their meeting to discuss what just happened and what had happened. Some speculated that it was a message from the goddess they serve, while others voiced their doubts about that being the case, and even more so that a normal priestess of their church was the one to hear and speak the message. The discussion reached a stalemate, and the result was that they would continue to decode the message and continue to watch over her while keeping what happened under wraps and not letting anyone outside know.
After waking up, Neviah's eyes had changed. Her eyes, which were originally dark blue, were now displaying a unique mixture of colors that looked a lot like the galaxy that the people of old talked about and that her powers improved. Despite the change and what just happened, her life continued somewhat normally while some of the people in the church became weary of her existence, and she'd occasionally see visions of something that would come true in the future.
More than two and a half years have passed since the event; it is now the year 770. She had another vision of her meeting a silver-white-haired gentleman. She thought nothing of it at all until it actually happened.
Neviah walked towards him and grabbed his coat. "Excuse me, but have we met before?"
A few hours prior to this event. Aeon, Alex, and Raymond walked around the city in search of the lady that Alex learned about from his people.
"Say, Alex, did your people say where the one who we assume to be the saint is?" Aeon inquired from him, to which Alex replied, "My lord, the district that she was spotted in was in the slums and commoner district."
"Is that so? Then let's split up here. I'll go to the slums, and you two head to the commoner district."
"My liege, that won't be advisable. For you to tell us to leave our liege alone in the slums... of course we won't be able to do that!" Raymond, refusing to let his liege go to a dangerous place alone, said. "If you still choose to go alone, then please let us be the ones to search the slums."
Aeon, taken aback a bit, acknowledged their concern. "I understand, then I'll search in the commoner district and visit the church while I'm here. Let's meet back at the estate once the time is 8:00 PM."
Both Alex and Raymond just said, "Understood."
The three then split up in order to search more efficiently. Aeon walked around the commoner district while enjoying some of the street food in the area. After an hour of searching, he decided to stop by the church of the goddess he worships, the Church of the Goddess of Time.
At the church, a priest greeted him. "Welcome; what is the intention of your visit?" the priest asked. "I am just here to pray to the goddess whom I worship." Aeon replied to the priest's question. "If that is the case, I'll guide you to the prayer hall."
At the prayer hall, there were a few people praying to Kronia's statue. Aeon sat in one of the chairs and began to pray.
"Dear Goddess Kronia, please give me your blessing in finding the heroes of our generation quickly. If you would, please help us in what is to come and give us more time in this world. I thank you, Goddess Kronia."
After saying his prayer, he saw a faint glow around the goddess' statue for a second and a weird warm sensation on his left eye that was covered by an eye patch. Aeon just disregarded what he saw as something that happened due to the light from the stained glass window. Aeon has now left the church.
Aeon began to walk away from the church and continued his search until he felt something tug his coat behind him.
Aeon heard a lady's voice from behind him saying, "Excuse me, but have we met before?" Aeon turned around to see who asked him the question.
Their eyes locked for a moment, and she felt something—that he was someone that she needed to meet. It didn't last long until she realized what she had just said.
"I-I'm sorry for what I just asked. You can just disregard it." Neviah awkwardly laughed and looked to the side while her face flushed.
Aeon was astonished by what he saw—the Saint of Prophecy's unique feature, their eyes—on her. He remained silent and could only stare into her eyes for a few seconds. He regained his composure and replied to her question.
"No, I don't believe I've met the beautiful lady in front of me yet, but you might've seen us together." Aeon smiled.
Neviah was dumbstruck; a good-looking man who looks like a noble just called her beautiful. Flushed and flustered as she already was, her heart started to race a bit, and her mind began to drift away until she noticed what he just said.
"Did you just say that I might've seen us together?"
"That is so, my lady."
Neviah began to ponder if he knew that she had seen their encounter before. While she was lost in thought, Aeon said, "Why don't we go to a cafe near here? I believe we have a lot to talk about." He just smiled after inviting her to a cafe. Neviah just nodded, and they went to a cafe that looked nice by a noble's standard.
They sat at a table and ordered one iced coffee, one chamomile tea, and a slice of chocolate cake. After ordering, Aeon introduced himself first. "I am Aeon Accasha, a 5-circle mage. I've been looking for you."
Neviah was surprised to hear that the person that was in front of her was the person that everyone has been talking about—the genius mage of our time—and that he was looking for her.
Neviah then took her turn to introduce herself. "I am Neviah, a priestess of the Goddess of Time. I apologize for my rude conduct earlier, Lord Accasha." She bowed her head. "What a coincidence; I also worship the Goddess of Time. And please, drop the formality; it would be troubling if you would continue to treat me that way." Aeon smiled.
"I-is that so? I am honored to hear that such a respected man like yourself is a fellow follower of the Goddess of Time. I'm afraid that I might have to decline your request; it would be disrespectful for me, a commoner, to be informal with a nobleman."
"I insist, though."
"Even so, it would take some time for me to do that, and we aren't even friends, Lord Accasha."
"I'll give up for now. We are getting sidetracked. You must've been curious about what I said earlier, right, my lady?"
The iced coffee, tea, and cake they ordered arrived, and Aeon thanked the server.
"Why don't you drink the tea first?" Aeon gestured his hands towards her cup of tea.
Neviah took a sip of the chamomile tea after smelling the aroma it had.
"Once again, I'll introduce myself. I am Aeon from the Accasha Family. By the orders of a king from the past, my family owns a record of respectable people of the past that have now been forgotten by almost all of the people. You may wonder why I am telling you this." Neviah nodded. "It's because you, my lady, are one of them. A Saint of Prophecy."
Neviah was astonished and confused. "Me? A saint? I thank you for the compliment but I am no saint but just a normal priestess of Kronia."
"And that is where you're wrong, my lady. You bore the mark of the saint on your eyes. Did you not experience something unbelievable the moment your eyes changed?"
Neviah's eyes widened and mumbled, "How did-"
"Not only that, did you not feel a massive improvement in the power of your miracles? That is the effect of the mark. The Saints of Prophecy have a boost in their power compared to how it was before, and they are granted with a unique ability, Clairvoyance, the ability to see a glimpse of the current future. Tell me, the first time that you gained that mark, did you not receive a message from the goddess?"
Neviah was surprised after hearing what Aeon had just said. Everything that he said was true—that was what she thought.
"I did, but I am not allowed to tell the contents to outsiders."
"Is that so? I am assuming that it was by the church. I'll come back in a few days to the church. It was nice meeting you, Lady Neviah. I'll pay for everything that we have ordered; please enjoy. Have a good day, my lady." Aeon smiled and left after paying.
Neviah, dumbstruck, was in a daze after what just happened. She blushed after remembering him calling her a lady—a beautiful one at that. Her eyes began to glow faintly, and her clairvoyance activated. She saw Aeon with a few people in the same room as her and the Pope.
"I wonder what that was?" she mumbled to herself.
