I hope this letter finds you in best of the spirits. It has been quite some time since we last spoke.Â
As I sit here reminiscing about our days we spent together my mind is flooded with the whirlwind of emotions. The memories of your laughter, touch of your hand and the warmth of your embrace still linger in my thoughts like a sweet fragrance.Â
It was that party where you were forced to come where our paths first crossed. I remember how much I loved your company. We talked for hours and our singing competition. It was so much fun.
I started liking you at that party only. "And spending time with you I don't remember when I fell in love with you".
I wrote this letter not to rekindle what we once had but to honour the profound impact you've had in my life. You are the inspiration behind every dream I pursue today. I hope our paths cross again and we became best of friends, supporting each other once more.
Yours forever and always.
Kaira folded it back with tears in her eyes. "He remembers how much I love handwritten letters. I wish what happened never had happened but." She washed her face and got ready for her job interview.

"Mom you know what I got my dream job finally. I can't be more happy." She came running and hugged her mom. "I knew it you are so brilliant my girl." She said hugging her back. "Mom but I don't know why I am still not happy . I finally got the job I have always dreamt of but I am not happy." She said finally, breaking the hug. "Why? I mean you should be happy. But I think I know why you are not happy." Kaira raised eyebrow. "Why?"
"I think you too should write letter to Aarav as he writes to you always telling everything that is happening in his life. You too should." Confused Kaira. "Mom what we had once is over now. Why do you think I will write him any letter. It would mean like I want to rekindle with him. And I don't want to. It is all so messed up already."
Her mother smiled at her. "Okay whatever you want but you remember naa you are going to meet him."
"Yeah I remember Rohini and Siddharth are getting married. How can I miss my bestfriends wedding."
Her mother nodded and patted her shoulder. Kaira was thinking about if she should write a letter or not when she got message from her bestfriend Akash Awasthy. "Hi mental case. How are you?" Kaira smiled. "Hey I am good. It's been such a long time we last spoke. I want to meet you today. Where should we meet?"Â
"Okay let's meet then at our cafe in an hour?" "Done"Â

Kaira had been waiting for about ten minutes when she finally spotted Akash she stood up from where she was sitting and waved at him. He waved back. "Hi" Kaira said giving him a big bear hug. "Hey I missed you so much." He hugged her back. They sat in their seats. "So what been going in your life?" Akash asked. When waiter interrupted then. They placed their orders. "You know I got my dream job finally." "What?" He screamed getting everyone's attention around. "Sorry. Why didn't you tell me before?" "Because I got it today." She laughed. "Okay." He paused for a moment. "Are you going to Rohini's wedding?" She nodded. "Are you sure you want to go?" She raised eyebrow. "I mean Aarav will be there so." "So what we have moved on." He nodded slightly. "But I don't think so. I know you are expert in hiding you feelings but Aarav is not I can see in his eyes. He still loves you. Why don't you both get back?" "Akash please don't. I don't want to have this conversation. I told you so many times. And today I got my job let's celebrate." He nodded and smiled.Â

"Hey sweetheart. I missed you so much." Kaira woke up suddenly. "Aarav you are here?" She searched everywhere. But couldn't find him. "Another dream of him. It's been five years and I am still not getting over him. I was never like this." She stood up from her bed to get ready. Facing herself in mirror. "How I going to face him. He has totally changed me. This is not the Kaira I knew."Â
