Chapter 176 - Ch. 133

133

Young Chef Josh was sent back to the destroyed Horse Clan, and no One was the wiser. As he finished making his rounds, he came across Aaron holding a Female and said, "It's almost Morning, we need to discuss how we are going to get everyone to the Dark Rock Dragon Clan safely."

Aaron said "I have done a head count of the survivors. With the Females and wounded we have made enough carts for them to be transported in. The supplies that we were able to scrounge up from the wreckage wasn't much we, but with the supplies that your Males brought we were able to get enough to make it through the night. Since we will be flying the injured and Females back there will be enough left for those who are walking back. Most here are herbivores so Carnivores can hunt and leave the plants for them. As we move there should be at least Two guards on every cart and there should be guards at the front and rear. We also need some to scout out the path we are going to take. Since the carts have wheels, they will need smooth ground. We can carry them if needed but we should be able to go the way normally."

As Aaron continued on explaining how the move should proceed, he didn't realize that he was leaving a great impression on Young Chef Josh. Nodding in agreement with what everything that Aaron was saying, they both had just finished making the plan when the Breezy Meadow Horse Clans Leader made his way slowly towards them. With him being the Leader and a Worrier, it would dishonor him by them going to him. Doing that would make him seem weak to his Clan, so they could only wait for him.

Since he was injured in the battle defending his people, he wasn't moving fast but when he did finally make it to him them, he took some deep breaths before he said, "I am grateful to you Young Chef for your assistance." Stopping to take a few breaths he continued "I just heard the news about the 'Great Spirit'."

He was breathing hard and tried to control his emotions but failed to stop his tears from falling. With his head hung low, and he said, "I have failed at defending my people I'm not worthy of her sacrifice."

Having to stop again to catch his breath then finished, "There is nothing that I can do to bring her back, but I will devote my life to try and be worthy of the sacrifice that she made."

Since he is now the Acting Chef of the Dark Rock Dragon Clan, he acted accordingly Young Chef Josh gave a simple blank yet morning expression and said "I am sure you will Chef Noah. The Breezy Meadow Horse Clan is going to come to the Dark Rock Dragon Clan for the Cold Moons. When it is over you will have recovered enough to be able to start over. Remember the Dark Rock Dragon Clan will always come to your aid, and we can even help you rebuild if you need it."

Shaking his head Chef Noah said, "Thank you for the offer Young Chef Josh, but we of the Breezy Meadow Horse Clan will be able to rebuild with the strength of our own backs."

There was no way that they could possibly except their help when they were already accepting their help for the Cold Moons. Chef Noah thought to himself "There was no way that we could except more help after the Cold Moons. The Breezy Meadow Horse Clan is not weak, and despite what happened here today, they will be able to take care of ourselves. We just need some time to recover, so that we can regroup. Once the Cold Moons end will be better than ever, I'll see to that."

After they finished speaking about what the plan was going to be for the move, there was just One hiccup. Chef Noah said in hushed toned "I will walk back with my people! I will not be carried back like some weakling!"

Young Chef Josh said in a calm manner "That is not what I meant Chef Noah. I simply meant that you should ride back with them because Your Female will be going with them, and I thought that you would have liked to discuss things with my Father when the group arrives. I meant no offense to you."

Chef Noah stared at him in shock and embarrassment written all over his face. He said "I am sorry I misunderstood you Young Chef Josh. I will go back with my people, if anything else happens to them on the way back I will be there to defend my people."

Young Chef Josh put on a proud smile and said "Very well Chef Noah, you can travel with your people. You need to ride on the head cart and make sure that you lead your people."

When everything was sorted out the groups divided with the Females and injured Flying back with some of the Dragons and the rest of them, they began to get the others up to eat and prepared to leave. Since there weren't that many of them left that could pull the carts, they weren't able to do much, and a lot of Males stayed behind to help the Breeze Medow Horse Clan move.

The trip back was well organized thanks to Aaron and the group was able to make it to the Dark Rock Dragon Clan before dark. They were greeted by Elder Chef Blaze and some Doctors. They all had smiling faces for them when they returned home from battle.

Their faces fell when they see the looks on the faces of those that had just returned. Elder Chef Blaze rushed up and said, "Son what is it?" Looking around he said, "What happened to the 'Great Spirit' and her group?"

Young Chef Josh looked at his Father with a look of torment in his eyes and said "Father. The 'Great Spirit' she was…" In a shaky voice he said, "She was… she was killed in the battle." A tear fell down his cheek as he finished "As her Family was trying to help her, they ended up with the same fate."

He didn't hang his head in defeat, he looked his Father in the eyes, not trying to hide the tears flowing down his cheeks as he said "The 'Great Spirit' was a great inspiration on the battlefield and died a True Warriors Death. I'm just sorry that the Young that she carried died with her."

The news shocked everyone there and he did not want to say anymore on the matter. The group tried to make their way past, and they were stopped by the Doctors and directed like the group of the Green Rock Mountain City. With heavy hearts those that liked Scarlet felt sad at this moment because they followed the same instructions she gave before.

After the group was sorted Elder Chef Blaze took Young Chef Josh back to his room to talk. When they got there, he grabbed his shoulders and looked his Son in the eye and said "Is she truly gone? The 'Great Spirit' she has truly left us?"

When Young Chef Josh confirmed the news, his face became pale as his knees gave out and Young Chef Josh had to catch him. As he moved him over to a chair, he heard his Father say "This is bad. The Strange Males are going to come back and take over again. This time she won't be able to stop them. We have all these people here now and we have no protector."

Elder Chef Blaze got up and began to pace as he said, "The Strange Males want Dragons because we are bigger than all others, able to fly, and we breath Fire."

"If the Strange Males come back, we can't stop them. Not without the 'Great Spirit'. We won't make it." Elder Chef Blaze just kept rambling on and-on-and Young Chef Josh knew that his Father had nothing to do with the assassination attempt.

Yet at the same time he knew that his Father couldn't know about anything just yet. He was being watched and he still needed to find out who was behind everything. "I need to get away from my Father now and try to get as much information as he could from those around me."
