Anger built up inside of Elder Chef Blaze, because he had never been talked to like that or treated like this since he was Young, before he established his role as Chef. Taking a breath and trying to keep the long-term goal in mind he said "Please do Young Dragon. And please tell the 'Great Spirit' that I have banished Jessie and her Family for what they have done. If there is anything that you need, please don't hesitate to come to find me. Are you doing well? Do you need food or other necessities? Can I get you anything?"
Nick said "No thank you Elder Chef we thank you for your hospitality and just need peace for my Female to Heal. The battle to free the Clan from those Strange Males was very taxing for her and she needs lots of rest. With the stress that was added to her with the issue with Jessie and her family it had made things worse for her and her recovery time is going to take much longer."
Elder Chef Blaze said "I understand fully and hope to be of service anytime you need anything. Please let her rest and I will come to check on you at a later time."
Nick thanked him for the hospitality again and stepped away from the door but before he got too far, he heard Elder Chef Blaze speaking to someone with him outside. He heard the other Male say "Just give her time. She will be more open when she gets board in the room and wants to explore." The voices faded, and as they did Nick went back to the group.
After discussing what he overheard with the group Scarlet wanted to leave now more than ever. She didn't like being around a lot of people to begin with. When Nick and Doctor Sebastian had Females trying to calm them, she became even more uncomfortable.
The group tried their best to comfort Scarlet and tried to get her to relax and rest, but to no avail. Alex could tell that she trusted them and knew that they wouldn't leave her. But with the fact that Two different Females, tried to take Two different Males from her, within such a short time she was almost inconsolable.
Her abandonment issues from the loss of her Family, and the fact that she was betrayed by everyone that she came across. During the last Ten years and with everything that has happened to her since she has been here, it is bound to take its toll on her.
Alex held her close and said "You are safe, and we will always be with you. There is not a force from above or below able to take you away from us." Kissing the top of her head he held her close and tried to get her to calm down.
Scarlet said "I'm sorry that you have such a Weak Female as a Mate. I wish that I was Stronger. I don't deserve Males as great as all of you."
The Group of Males had been filled with great pride and at the same time great sorrow when they heard what she said. Travis went to her side and said "Okay my Love we will stay here and run everyone off until you would like to go out. When you do, we will all move as a Family, not leaving anyone in the room for anything bad to happen. How does that sound?"
When Scarlet heard that she tried to rationalize everything that had happened since she came here. From the First Night where she had to kill Matt and Tony, then later the Next day when Jewel tried to take Nick and then everything that happened with Jessie and her family. Nick and Doctor Sebastian were not going to go anywhere without her, and it was stupid that she was feeling like she would be abandoned by them, but the feeling still lingered.
Her body was healed quite a bit already because of Travis, so the drunkenness was gone and so was the concussion. The fractures were sowed back together, and the rest of the bones were no longer broken, but her body was far from better. With stitches and abrasions still all over along with the mental trauma she had suffered with Matt threatening Travis, Scarlet still had a long way to go with her healing.
Scarlet looked at Nick and asked him to take her into the bedroom to get some sleep. As he laid next to her, he said "I will be here when you wake up my Love." Scarlet looked into his eyes and with tears that began to fall she said, "I'm sorry I can't help it." Kissing her head, he said soothingly "Don't be sorry my Sweet. You are still healing and have every right to feel this way. With all that you have been through, not only today but throughout your life. New things can be hard to deal with when things change so fast. We are all incredibly lucky that you have been willing to let us in. You can trust us to take care of you until the end of our days."
Scarlet's heart filled up and she was so happy to hear that from him, and she was kicking herself because she felt like a big baby. He placed a sweet lingering kiss on her lips and allowed all of his love to flow through the connection. When the kiss ended Scarlet did feel better but wanted more comfort.
She looked into his eyes and gave him her most innocent look as she did and said "Can I have One more? Please."
Nick's heart shattered at the look she gave him and said "You are more than welcome to have another and another and another…" He trailed off as he kissed her all over happy to see that she was playing with him. Ending with a long kiss on the lips he said "Would you like to have a nap or just lay in my arms. I am just fine with either One."
Thinking about it for a long while she finally said, "I'm not really sleepy right now can you just hold me?"
With a huge grin he said "I am more than happy to do that. It will be the highlight of my day." Snuggling close he said, "I love you." Then kissed her head as they hunkered down for a long rest.
