Wondering what was going on, Travis helped Scarlet get ready for the day because she just didn't want to have anything to do with moving so early in the morning. Travis carried her out and Aaron carried the Other Female out with him, when Nick seen them, he said "We are close to a Village, and this is something that needs to be brought up now because it is a Snake Village. Alex has already gone to get the information from them, and they are willing to let us stay there without any information getting out that we were ever there." Scarlet just looked at him "He needed to get the information out, and hurry about it." was all she thought.
Nick finished by saying "They want you to have a Snake as a partner. If you choose One, then they will be happy. They will do whatever we want and will keep everything quiet and even help us gathering information."
Travis was Furious when he heard the information that was just dumped on them like it was just and he was about to say something when Scarlet quaintly asked, "Any Snake or One from their Village?"
Everyone was shocked to hear this, Even the New Female. Alex couldn't help the skip in his heart at her question. Scarlet just looked all innocent and said "What? It was just a question. I just wanted to know how cocky they were and if they think that I really can't handle myself or protect those that I Choose?"
With that said Scarlet turned her head back to the foodbearer and opened her mouth for food. Giggling as she was suddenly fed like a baby and all Her Males smiled.
The Female was speechless as she seen how the 'Great Spirit' acted. It was so Strange, and she had never seen anything like it. Anywhere you went Females were always about themselves. After almost being taken and having to go through the loss of all Seven of Her Males it stung to see her being taken care of Now. Her Males had Fought with everything they had to protect her and ended up paying for it with their lives. She hardly had any feelings for them. She took them as mates because they were willing to make sure that she had whatever she wanted.
All she cared about was how many Bands they had and what they were able to give her. Feeling the loss of all of them One after Another like that. Watching them fall protecting her. It was just too much, with that the Female started to Shut down.
Before she knew what was going on she felt that she was suddenly wrapped up in a Cold Embrace.
Aaron didn't know what was wrong with the Female, but she suddenly started to cry. He didn't know what happened to her when she was just sitting there. He didn't know how to help her. Then it hit him, what Travis said Finally hit him and what said other Males do with the 'Great Spirit'. Wrapping her up He said "Are you hurt? If you're hungry, Here I'll feed you."
He held up the spoon of food and when she opened, he began to feed her. When she came back to her senses when she received a Mouth of food, she turned her head to him. She tried to process who was in front of her. This Male was Still an Unwanted, and he was not mean or cruel like the Ones that attacked before, or the stories that she heard about them.
With that thought she swallowed the food in her mouth and said, "Why are you so different than what I heard about."
Aaron didn't know what was happening, but he said "I am just trying to help you. Most Unwanted don't want to hurt Females, but don't know our strength and sometimes make a mistake. We just want them to give us a chance. Unwanted that have the bad reputation because Other Males and the Abandoned Males that want revenge on Females. All because they were abandoned by One because of whatever reason the Female deemed worthy enough to give."
Hearing that the Female said, "My name is Emma, and I'm a Fox Female."
Everyone except Scarlet was shocked by the sudden turn of events with the Female opening up like that. The Females here are different then the Modern Girls back home that were taught Modesty. Growing up My Mom kept telling me that Men were only into One thing and that I needed to always be careful around them. Here though the Males were still up to no good, but they were upfront about it. Here the Females expected it and were even on the Same Level. They were selective and really Sucked up into their own lives.
Aarons shocked face was so funny he couldn't believe that she was excepting him. It was a miracle that she had given her name and accepted him like this. He was not about to miss this chance and said, "My name is Aaron, and I am here for whatever you need."
Smiling to herself she looked at Nick and cleared her throat signaling to him that she wanted another bite of food. He was quick to react with the food and said, "What do you think about the Ultimatum that the Snake Village gave you?"
Scarlet gave him a questioning look and said "What do you mean? I don't need to decide anything. Who said that I would be going there anyway?"
Travis just Laughed and kissed the top of her head as she ate the rest of her Breakfast. She was happy and full after breakfast, and as they were about to head out her happy mood was ruined. A Big Male came out of the woods and blocked their way.
He was about 6'7" and had Long Red hair with a chiseled perfect face. As he walked forward, he stood tall and said, "I am Johnny Leader of the 'Fan Leaf Village'. I am here to get your answer to the question that your Males should have discussed with you." He finished with a big cocky Grin on his face.
Scarlet laughed and said, "What makes you think that I will be going to be staying with you?"
Johnny was shocked. He thought that she would bend to his will if she was promised safety. All she had to do was pick a Snake Male as a Mate. She could have even picked him because he was the Leader and the strongest in his Village. He looked at Alex like he wanted to Kill him. "What was his plan? Was this payback for wanting to take His Female for Himself or was this because she had something else planed." He thought to himself as he noticed that Alex had Four bands. Realization dawned on him right then and there. She didn't need to choose a Weak Male from his Small Village when she already had a Strong Male with her Now.
He had to think quickly to get her to come back to the Village. Standing there for a minute stuck in his thoughts as he tried to come up with a new plan and was suddenly yanked from his thoughts when he noticed that the group was leaving. Thinking Quickly Johnny ran up to them and started to ramble "It is a good Village to take a rest. I see you have an Injured Female with you. She can come to My Village and Rest. No One will hurt her, or you I give you, my word."
Scarlet just started to laugh and said "The word of a Male that is doing this for his own Benefit? There is something that you're not saying. What is it I wonder?"
Looking at Scarlet and seeing that she was on to him he figured that she would know if he kept lying and unless he tells the truth she may never agree to come. Taking a Deep Breath, he focused on the things that needed to be said First and tried not to screw it up.
Johnny said "Something is happening to our Males in the Village. None have been able to have any Young and it has been years since the last Female birthed any eggs. Even those that have given birth have had Weak Young that haven't made it to a Mature age." Taking a few Deep Breaths, he continued "We need your help please. We can keep you safe and not let any news spread about you being in the area. I can't let my people die off like this. We were once a Strong Proud Village, and soon we will be Nothing."
The group was shocked, and no One said anything for a few Minutes. It wasn't until the group started to leave again did Johnny hear "Okay we can go." Shocking everyone again Johnny looked at her in disbelief and said, "You really will come and help my Village?"
Scarlet laughed and said, "Yeah it seems like an interesting Mystery, and I want to solve it."
As the group made its way to the 'Fan Leaf Village' by Noon. Scarlet started to feel that something was odd when they entered the territory but was completely shocked to see the state of everything.
Scarlet climbed on top of Travis' shoulders and looked around the village. There wasn't much to it, and it didn't take long to figure out the problem.
When she was assessing the Village, Leader Johnny had gathered the Able body Males over to her and said, "These are our..."
"You need to Move the Village." She said bluntly.
