Chapter 24 - CHAPTER 24

"Madam Erika, what a surprise?" Redima stated in terror, she was sitting on Erika's chair. Erika smiled and put her purse on the table. She eyed Redima by the edge of her eyes.

"I'm wondering what brought you here." Erika said, and Redima walked towards Erika. She backed her quiff and mouth with proud: "I'm making sure everything is in its place, for since you left, I had to deal with the two offices."

Redima covered her eyes with her palm in a dramatic way; she ensured that Erika was watching her act, and then she said, "It's really so hard, if you know."

"It's just a week, Redima; you can go now. I think you have lots of work to do," Erika stated after she sat herself on the chair. Redima gave her the red eye with that fake sweet smile.

"I smell a conspiracy," Erika said to herself. She checked the files on her tables to find out that all her virtuous efforts to find investors in the field of mining, especially in the Middle East, had failed.

"There's only a week left for me; if I don't raise this company by the end of this month, I will be under Mr. Rafael's mercy."

Erika mouthed, biting her teeth. She was on a project with Mr. Malmi when she noticed the disappearance of her secretary Jimson, so she asked about him to be surprised by his story details.

"It is impossible for someone like him to ruin his career. There is a missing ring in this cycle, and Redima is not innocent, as she showed. " Erika said, her phone was ringing for the tenth time in a row.

"Yes, if you have an important issue, please wait till the evening to discuss it, Mr. Rafael; I'm working right now," Erika said, hanging up the call before he could utter a word.

"Good evening, Miss Erika. It's a pleasure to meet you; I've heard lots of good things about you." Sir. Gorge said as he shook hands with Erika, who handed him the contract details.

He checked it out, then signed. As his sight was on Erika, who was on her full charm. She leaned to take the files, then said, "It will be an honor to work with your company ."

Sir Gorge nodded his head with a malignant smile. She added, "Well, I hope to benefit from your experience in this field. I seek successful cooperation, Sir. Gorge."

Sir. Gorge, with his thick eyebrows that frame his green captive eyes and his brown short hair made him seem to be in his thirties. He tasted his empty mouth as he was amazed by Erika's beauty.

"Of course we are the Likyotick company for drilling; your trust is in safe hands," sir. Gorge uttered; he took his jacket and left the VIP room at The Blue Lake restaurant, as Sir. Gorge preferred to have his meetings out of people's sight.

"Yes, it's all as you wish," Sir Gorge replied. As he was talking to someone, he ended the call by watching Erika leaving the restaurant by taking a taxi.

"Hell no, it's already nine thirty; I'm so late for my meeting with Mr. Alexander," Erika stated. She told the driver to park his car and wait for her.

"It wouldn't take more than twenty minutes." Erika said, and the driver took off his glass. He mouthed, "Take your time, ma'am. You're worth waiting for."

Erika did not show him any reaction as she got into the building; she asked the receptionist to confirm her appointment with Mr. Alexander.

"Sorry, Madam, you're two hours late from your meeting, and the master had to cancel it. If you want to have another date after three months," the receptionist stated.

"No, it can't be; I'm on time. Check it out," Erika said as she held her anger and smiled, but the receptionist's response was the same.

So she went out. She was about to reach the taxi when she heard the receptionist calling for her.

"Sorry, Madam, Master Alexander is ready to meet you. I had mistaken your name with another customer; I'm really sorry," the receptionist said, apologizing,.

Erika rubbed her suite and made her way to a room that looked like a five-star meeting room. She sat on the table, waiting for Mr. Alexander.

"Calm down; you're just here to ask for his help," Erika said to herself. It was not her first time to be in his company.

"Erika, my ex, what brought you here?" Mr. Alexander said. He leaned to press a kiss on her cheek. She pulled him back and said, "How many times should I repeat this? I wasn't your girlfriend to be your ex, and I have informed you by my coming, so stop this hilarious drama."

Mr. Alexander was her college student. He raised his left eyebrow and smiled, saying, "I missed our old days. Will you attend our annual university batch meeting?"

Erika rolled her eyes; she knew he was such a talkative person. She hit the table and said, "I'm not here to remind us of our past days; I want your help; kind of exchange benefits."

Mr. Alexander lowered his eyes towards her bra. She put a leg on the other, scrolling her eyes. He was the one who had been trying to go out with her for seven years.

"It's not a nighty job; I want you to be our new investor for our rising company." Erika said as she was trying not to spoil her chance like she was the last time.

She took a deep breath and explained to him the benefits and the percentage of profits that would be obtained if he agreed.

"I will think about your offer, Erika, so let's get back to our main topic," Mr. Alexander stated as he leaned to the table with evil eyes.

"This is our main topic, man, come on," Erika shouted in mind, she wanted to kick him until he could think well. She nodded her head, then said, "What else do you have?"

"It's Juliet; she will attend the coming batch gathering," Mr. Alexander said as he noticed the bright, glowing smile on Erika's face as she heard her best friend's name.
