We had arrived at District 9 in Pulchra. The representatives showed us around. I was stunned everything felt so different from what I ma used to. The air smelt fresher, cleaner. The people looked so happy. Everyone had smiles on their faces. There smiles were light and carefree like they didn't have a single worry in the world.
They were all round and had smooth supple skin. The people looked so beautiful, just like the stories said they would. I was enamored and enthralled by the beauty if everything around me. Th streets were also clean, there were no bones, pieces of clothing, or blood stains on the floor.
I also saw the most unbelievable thing, a tree. I saw a tree, a real one not those fake plastic trees all over Deformis that were used to try and brighten up the place even just a little. When they were first installed some people tried to eat them even thought we were told not to. They all learned their lesson when people died after eating the tree.
I have never seen a real tree before its so beautiful. There were so many different kinds all over the place. Some trees were taller than other some were thick some were skinny and some of the smelled so good. The all smell good.
I saw the bright happy faces of children playing together, eating together, and just getting along. The children in Deformis are all skinny with protruding bones and a recluse that kept to themselves. But here the children were plump with squishy looking limbs and they seemed to always be out and about with their friends.
The people here were so nice. Every time Killian and I passed by the people would smile and wave at us or even give of food. They looked genuinely happy and excited that we were here. Which got me even more happy and excited to be here.
The representatives took us to a tall tower in the middle of district 9 and we went inside there was someone already there though. They looked very familiar, but I am not sure where I know them from. The person noticed us, and his eyes shined in recognition, he smiled widely after his eyes laid in me.
This person must also know me, he looks like he does. Then he came charging towards me with his arms wide open. Before I could move out of the way he enveloped me a great big hug. His hug was very tight like he was trying to force all the air out of my lungs. I struggled in his hold as he hugs me.
"Let. me. go." I say in a strained voice as I struggle more to get out of his grapes.
"I have missed you so much, it has been so lonely without you. Everyone here is so boring." The man replies and instantly my eyes widen. There is no way, no way. That voice, I recognize that voice. It must be him; I can't forget that voice even if I wanted to. And I had to admit I kind of missed him as well. There was a lot of things I looked forward to when going to Pulchra and
meeting him was one of the biggest things I look forward to. I didn't realize I missed me so much.
"Joy is that you?" I said still surprised I am meeting him so soon.
