Chapter 123: It Was a Little Too Late

"Yes, sorry. I-" she paused when she realized she apologized again.
Edric nodded, approving that she was no longer saying those words repeatedly.
"First of all, I didn't mean for that to happen either. I also got swept up by the mood, so you weren't alone on that matter," Edric clarified.
It was clear on his face how he wasn't prepared for that either. It just happened.
"Yes, I wasn't trying to blame you or anything," Loreen responded since she noticed that he didn't want to seem like he intentionally made her let her guard down and attacked.
She knew he didn't since she was the one who asked him about the accident.
Edric understood the fact that they had both signed the divorce papers so doing the act even if the divorce was not yet official was out of the question.
