I had always wanted to know more about you and your childhood, but you changed the subject every time I asked so I stopped asking about it," Edric said, and Loreen was wide-eyed.
She knew he was right. She had avoided such conversations and changed the subject the few times he tried bringing it up.
But she didn't know Edric had been wanting to know more about it earnestly. She thought he was only interested about it temporarily, something in passing, when he asked.
Loreen didn't know he held back from asking again because she kept dodging the questions the times he tried asking about it.
She thought she had been sensitive enough to cater to him and foster their relationship, but it appears, she had not completely opened-up to him.
