Chapter 81: She was Telling the Truth
"Huh? What's that supposed to mean? I already told you I didn't cheat on you with that bastard. If I knew you were wealthier than he was, I wouldn't have been so scared and have given him a piece of my mind after what he had done," Loreen fisted her small hands. Her eyes were filled with fury directed towards Roger.
It made Edric smile.
It was nice to see Loreen cuss that man. Her anger towards Roger looked real.
Maybe, Loreen did not cheat on him, after all.
Just that thought gave an overwhelming sense of relief and happiness to Edric.
"What are you smirking at?" Loreen frowned at him with clear annoyance.
She seemed to have misunderstood what he was smiling about.
"Hearing you cuss him was nice," Edric teased, and he smiled even more when Loreen blushed when she recalled he wasn't used to hearing her cuss.
