October is drawing to a close. Beauxbatons and Durmstrang are scheduled to arrive tonight for the Triwizard Tournament. From the morning, the house-elves seem to be preparing for the party as a delicious aroma wafts through the air. The students are also discussing what the students from other schools might be like. As night falls, the students are gathered in front of the castle to welcome both schools. McGonagall is trying to line them up, but it doesn't seem to be going well as everyone is excited.
After waiting for a while, Beauxbatons arrived first. Their method of arrival was very flashy. A carriage as large as a mansion, pulled by twelve giant winged horses, flew towards Hogwarts. From the carriage that arrived with a ground-shaking noise, a woman of the same size as Hagrid, who used to be the gamekeeper, emerged. It was Olympe Maxime, the headmistress of Beauxbatons.
"Welcome to Hogwarts from afar, Madame Maxime."
"Dumbledore, have you been well?"
As the headmasters greeted each other, students from Beauxbatons emerged from the carriage. Most of the students who were interested in foreign students were captivated by one girl. She was a girl who wore an aura-like thing that attracted others with her beauty that didn't seem human. Not only boys but also some girls seemed to be captivated by her. The Beauxbatons party was guided into the school building as they wanted to warm up quickly. Many male students watched them until they were out of sight.
Next, they waited to see how Durmstrang would arrive, and a huge sailing ship emerged from the lake. Whether Beauxbatons or Durmstrang didn't travel in normal ways because they wanted to show their power as magic schools, or because this was normal for them, was hard to determine. From the sailing ship, Headmaster Igor Karkaroff led his students down.
"Dumbledore! Hey hey, it's been a while. How are you doingl?"
"I'm fine indeed, Headmaster Karkaroff."
Someone among the students who were looking at the Durmstrang students shouted loudly.
"Is that Viktor Krum!?"
The appearance of this man shocked those who loved Quidditch. He is known as the world's best Seeker. Voices asking if they could get his autograph could be heard from here and there. With Durmstrang's arrival, all students and teachers began to move to the Great Hall.
In the Great Hall were gathered students from Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang. Beauxbatons sat at the Ravenclaw table and Durmstrang at Slytherin's table. The Slytherin students who had managed to draw in a celebrity like Viktor Krum looked smugly at Gryffindor's table and responded by glaring back at them - a familiar sight.
Dumbledore stood up on behalf of all three schools and began his greeting.
"Good evening ladies and gentlemen, and ghosts alike. We heartily welcome our guests to Hogwarts. We hope your stay at our school will be comfortable and enjoyable.
The Triwizard Tournament will be officially declared after dinner. Until then, please enjoy your meal!"
The next moment all plates in front of them were filled with food as usual.
From the variety of dishes more luxurious than usual, it was clear that they were putting effort into the tournament.
Perhaps because they were inviting guests from overseas, there were many dishes not seen in British cuisine."
Leo seems satisfied to be able to eat foreign food that he usually can't. The Ravenclaw students, who usually eat quietly, are a bit noisy because of the presence of the Beauxbatons students. Looking at the other students, many of the boys are staring at a certain beautiful girl. And the girls are sighing at this sight. The beautiful girl seems to be named Fleur Delacour, and she is talking to various boys while changing seats.
As she does so, the students she was talking to point towards Leo. Fleur approaches Leo and starts talking to him.
"Good evening. Are you Leonard Taylor?"
"Good evening. Yes, I am Leonard Taylor."
She seemed to have difficulty speaking in English with a French accent, so he used a prepared translation spell to speak. This should make him sound like he's speaking French to her. When she realized that he could understand French, Fleur also started conversing in French.
"Oh, you can speak French. I heard that you're the most outstanding person in this dormitory, and it doesn't seem like a lie."
"I don't actually speak French. I'm adjusting language recognition with a translation spell."
"That's amazing. Teach me that magic too."
Leo receives a box from Ku, who was standing next to him, and hands it to Fleur.
"Here you go. Inside are about 20 rings imbued with a translation spell. I don't know how many Beauxbatons students will come, so I don't know if the number is enough, but if you wear it, even if you speak French, we will recognize it as English. I plan to give it to the Durmstrang students later as well."
Fleur immediately tries on the ring. She talks to other students in French, which wasn't getting through until just now. Looking at her face when she came back to Leo, it seemed like she was satisfied with the result.
"You really are excellent. I like you. Please show me around Hogwarts during the competition period."
At her words, the surrounding boys look at Leo enviously.
"I refuse."
At Leo's subsequent words and actions, Fleur and the boys freeze. Leo wants to have intercultural exchanges, but he decided that he doesn't want to guide Hogwarts that much.
Fleur recovers from her rigidity, takes a deep breath, and asks again with all of her Veela charm on full display. The surrounding area is filled with an aura that makes them feel like proposing marriage. Even some women are casting hot glances at Fleur.
"Didn't you hear me? Please show me around Hogwarts."
"I heard you. I refuse. And your charm doesn't work on me, so it's useless."
Fleur was shocked. There are people who are resistant to Veela charm. It bounces off people with high mental strength or people who love someone from their heart.
Even so, Fleur has captivated many men from young boys to old men with just her own beauty without any charm. Therefore, Fleur had great confidence in her beauty.
Does he have a lover? Or is he gay? That's right, that must be it! He must be gay!
"Do you have a lover? Or are you gay by any chance?"
"That's quite rude all of a sudden. Neither is true."
A follow-up blow was dealt to Fleur. A man who doesn't have a lover and isn't even gay isn't captivated.
In other words, this man is saying something like Fleur's beauty is worthless.
Although Fleur felt shocked in her heart, she didn't feel much anger or discomfort.
(That's right... All the men I've met so far have only said things like "you're beautiful" or "you're pretty". This is the first time I've been treated like this. I came for the competition, but it's getting interesting!)
"Leonard Taylor! I've decided! I'll make you say that I'm beautiful!"
"You are beautiful."
"You're not putting your heart into it!? Fine, I'll definitely charm you!"
With that loud declaration, she returned to her original seat. Her voice echoed throughout the Great Hall, and many boys were glaring at Leo who was enjoying his meal without caring.
By the way, Ku who was sitting next to him had identified Fleur Delacour as an enemy trying to steal Leonard from Hermione.

"I was watching Leo as usual when suddenly a girl, who even from the same sex had to be recognized as an extraordinarily beautiful girl, approached. She talked about something and then handed over a box...
(A ring!? What on earth is going on!?)
I glared at that girl who seemed satisfied with putting on the ring. Neville and a few others were saying 'Eek...', but I ignored them. After that, they kept talking and something spread throughout the Great Hall. The next moment, almost all the boys started shouting their love for that girl. Harry seemed ready to run towards her. Ron's reaction was surprisingly subdued. Oh, Ginny is looking at Harry with an intense expression. Scary.
"Leonard Taylor! I've decided! I'll make you say that I'm beautiful!"
"You're not putting your heart into it!? Fine, I'll definitely charm you!"
It seems that Leo didn't find that girl attractive.
(Phew. Well, I wasn't really worried. I knew Leo wasn't the kind of person to be swayed by such a pretty girl!)
But for now, I decided to definitely ask what kind of conversation they had after the banquet.
---
Beauxbatons and Durmstrang have arrived.
I created a translation spell because it was troublesome to deal with Fleur and Krum's accents.
Leo should be able to handle this much.
In the original work, there is no translation magic because the magical world is closed off.
Is Fleur's character quite different from the original?
Fleur's charm is blocked by the ring, but even without it, I don't think she would be charmed by Fleur.
Hermione's jealousy.
This is the first time for such feelings because there were no women around Leo until now.
Ron was not charmed.
He's still in love with Hermione, so his resistance value has increased compared to the original work.
