Hana and Rose watched Eric, Noam and Zane closely. They didn't realize that Arion was watching their fight as well.
"They're going to attack again." Rose commented as she saw the trio begin to split as they were bombarded by Herris' attacks.
The three of them dodged the rain of steel that Herris created. The attacks were more numerous this time, but also more erratic, as Herris lost control of his steel several times before regaining it.
Because of all the gaps, Noam decided to get closer. He smoothly dodged all the steel that attacked him. The gaps between the steel attacks grew larger and larger, allowing him to dodge with ease.
"You will die!" Herris shouted angrily as he threw a bigger steel at Noam, who was still busy dodging.
As Noam dodged one of the steels, he did not expect another larger steel to hit him. It was already too close for him to dodge.
Just before Noam prepared to parry, a bolt of blue lightning and a blast of ice suddenly passed through him, hitting the large steel that was about to hit him until it was thrown back at Herris, who jumped to the side to avoid it.
As Noam turned, he saw Eric and Zane, their swords still imbued with magic, nodding emphatically in his direction, a sign that they would support him from behind.
Noam grinned before hurrying back to Herris. He exhaled as some steel returned to the attack.
"Stay calm. Don't panic." Noam muttered to himself as he nimbly dodged all the steel that was attacking him. His movements were a little rough, but he still managed to balance well.
Arion was surprised, 'I didn't expect him to be able to move like that.'
It was as if Noam was running while fighting. His movements were a bit sloppy, but he didn't fall or get hit once.
Arion stifled a snort, 'I thought he could only play tricks on his rivals. Turns out they're all pretty strong for a 5-year-old.'
"How annoying!" Herris exclaimed in frustration as none of his attacks managed to hit the children. Instead, he felt like he was wasting his time and energy.
Feeling that his patience was running out, Herris stomped hard on the ground and then ran toward Noam, who was grinning at her arrival, not at all frightened or surprised by his arrival.
Herris threw a blow at Noam that he dodged. Noam countered with a slash of his sword, which hit Herris' body with a loud clang, but left no wound.
Noam clicked his tongue, "I knew it."
From their hiding place, Hana muttered anxiously, "They should do something about the enemy's steel body first. Even a sword stroke couldn't hurt him."
Rose frowned, "Actually, if you look closely, he has a very obvious weakness. There are parts of his body that aren't protected by steel."
Hana grimaced in horror, "You want them to kill him?"
Rose shrugged, "Just stating the obvious. It's not like I told them to kill him. I know the consequences."
Hana fell silent, biting her lip in frustration. At times like this she felt frustrated that she couldn't help.
Arion looked at them, 'I understand. They're still children. Their mentality won't last if they commit murder at such a young age. It doesn't matter if they are children of the king or not.'
Arion thought that in this world, there must be a time for them to kill someone, especially someone who endangers the kingdom or themselves. This world is not a peaceful world, there are still many conflicts internally and externally.
At least, that's what he knew from the novels and comics he had read. The royal era was difficult.
Back to the fight, Noam jumped back when his attack was unsuccessful, dodging Herris' punch that almost landed in his face.
As Herris was about to attack Noam again, he forgot that his opponent was not just Noam, causing his guard to drop.
Zane appeared behind him and slashed at Herris' back, just as Eric had done earlier. Unfortunately, just like Noam, his attack left no wound.
Herris turned and threw a punch at Zane, "Annoying!"
Zane narrowly dodged and tried to attack again. But this time, ice magic enveloped his sword. He slashed Herris' chest so hard that they both jumped backwards from the impact of the two different types of magic colliding.
Zane's attack again caused no injuries. But there was a freezing effect on his chest even after it was immediately removed by Herris.
Noam snorted, "Even with magic, it still can't hurt him?" To be honest, he wasn't too surprised. He had expected this. There was no way they could hurt him that easily.
Noam grinned, "Well, we'll just have to keep trying!"
He stepped forward to help Zane attack Herris. Much like Zane, he coated his sword with his fire magic and slashed at Herris' wide open back.
His back was only red from the fire before it returned to its original color, as if the fire hadn't affected it.
Still, it made Herris even angrier, "This sucks!"
He slammed his fist into the ground until the ground shattered and spread out to approach Noam and Zane. They managed to dodge, but Herris threw two steels at each of them.
Both of them moved quickly and managed to dodge, although it seemed that Zane's arm and Noam's cheek were slightly scratched by the steel that attacked them. Fortunately, the scratches were not too deep.
Herris decided to attack Noam directly and attacked Zane with his steel bars. But they soon realized that something was wrong.
"His movements are slowing down?" Noam muttered in surprise. Was the enemy getting tired? Or was it something else?
Thanks to Herris' slowing movements, Noam was able to dodge his blows with ease before attempting a counterattack. As before, his attack left only a red mark like heated steel before disappearing as if it had never existed.
Zane also noticed this as he was busy dodging some of the steel that was attacking him, "Side effects? Or is it because his body can't take the weight of the steel magic?"
Such a powerful pill could not possibly have no side effects. What made him curious was how long the pill would be effective before it started showing symptoms of side effects. Was Herris starting to feel them now?
"Look out!"
The scream broke his reverie as he felt hisbbody slam to the ground, Noam groaning in pain. He had been dreaming so deeply that he hadn't noticed that an attack was headed his way and that Noam had to save him.
"How was it?" Zane asked Noam, who just grunted in despair.
"It was all for nothing. My attack didn't hurt her at all." Noam muttered in exasperation as the two got back up and prepared for the next attack.
Herris growled angrily as he approached them with heavy steps. Each step he took made the ground crack, causing Noam and Zane to back away slightly, intimidated.
"Even after my strength has increased, you still dare to ignore me? Son of a bitch!" Herris growled angrily as steel beams slowly began to form around him.
Noam and Zane swung their swords cautiously. Herris' anger and strength were a bad combination for them to deal with.
Herris raised his fist as the steel around him began to move, "I will destroy you!"
Before he could lower his fist, the thunderous roar of lightning rang loudly in their ears, causing all but Herris to cover their buzzing ears.
Before Herris could react, a flash of blue lightning appeared from the corner of his eye before a slash accompanied by blue lightning hit him so deeply that he was shocked even more than before.โ
Herris' scream sounded extremely loud as he felt his body being hit by the blue lightning bolt as if it was burning and being torn apart from the inside. It was even many times more painful than any of the attacks that had hit him so far.
Noam and Zane, who had initially closed their eyes because the lightning was too bright, slowly opened their eyes. In front of them stood Eric whose entire body and sword were flooded with powerful blue lightning.
Eric looked coldly at Herris who was still screaming in pain, "I told you, didn't I? Just attack his weakness."
Noam paused in disbelief as Zane breathed a sigh of relief. Finally, one of their plans worked, and one of their side's strongest attacks managed to hit the enemy as well.
Zane patted Noam's still silent shoulder, "Steel can conduct electricity, you know."
Noam looked at his friend who smiled knowingly, "Basically, if we attack him with high level lightning, no matter if he won't be hurt by the sword strike, he will still feel the effects of Eric's lightning attack."
Noam blinked, "So it's like the steel in his body makes Eric's lightning attack more powerful to attack the real body behind the steel?"
Zane nodded firmly, leaving Noam speechless. How could he forget such a basic lesson? If his mother found out, he wouldn't be able to escape her wrath.
Noam gave Eric an exasperated look, "So all this time you were gathering your strength to be strong enough to attack him?"
Eric snorted in exasperation, "Did you think I would run away and leave you to fight alone?"
Noam just shrugged indifferently, making Eric growl angrily. Zane let out a weary sigh.
