Natalie patted Hana's head to calm her down and pinched Eric's cheek to stop his teasing.
"How about Rose or Zane?" She made another suggestion.
Natalie hadn't forgotten the other two children who had befriended the twins. Although the other one was still doubtful.
Arion looked at her with interest, 'Is that the name of their other friend? I've only ever heard them argue about Noam.'
He remembered that there were 4 great kingdoms at this time. Perhaps the other two children are also descendants of kings of other kingdoms.
"Their baby sibling is a girl, right?" Hana asked Eric for confirmation, which was met with a nod.
Eric frowned, "I'm not close to Rose."
The little girl was very quiet and Eric wasn't interested in getting close to her. It seems that both of them are not the kind of people who are friendly to make friends.
"Me neither," Hana said with a sad frown.
Eric looked at her confused, "You're both girls." He said doubtfully. He thought because they were girls they would get along quickly, like the queens.
Hana chuckled in embarrassment, "But she's quiet and gloomy." She muttered softly.
Arion looked at his sister with an unhappy expression, 'That's pretty rude, especially if you're not close.'
"Hana." Natalie rebuke. Even if they weren't close, it didn't mean that her daughter could say bad things about other people.
Hana grimaced, "Sorry! But I'm serious! She's hard to talk to. Most of the time she just stays quiet."
Hana had tried hard to lure Rose into their group. But she always politely refused. She didn't seem to hate them or feel uncomfortable. She just didn't want to join.
Although the queens had always encouraged the five to become close friends, Rose was the only one who was still not close to them.
"As for Zane..."
Zane is very friendly and polite to everyone. He wasn't annoying and they weren't rivals either, unlike him and Noam. So they got along quite well.
Eric's relationship with Zane was not as close as it was with Noam, but they could still be considered quite close. Maybe because the three of them are both crown princes who are the same age.
Eric nodded seriously, "He has charm."
"What charm?" Hana asked confused. Why this sudden mention of charm?
"With girls," Eric explained more briefly, hoping that she understood what he meant.
Arion looked at him awkwardly, 'Seriously?'
He was pretty sure that wasn't a thought a 5-year-old should have.
Hana's face was immediately filled with understanding, "I see!"
She paused for a moment before nodding seriously, "Noam is still number one for me!"
Eric frowned and muttered quietly, "Except her." Looks like Zane's charm is useless on his twin sister.
Eric sighed resignedly, "Well, I'll try. At least I get along better with Zane."
"Because you're not rivals. Zane is more busy breaking you two up than fighting." She teased with an amused chuckle.
Sometimes, she felt sorry for her blue friend, as he was often caught up in their rivalry. Hana herself just watched, not interested in stopping them.
Hana frowned in confusion, "I can't even remember when you two started being rivals."
She tried to dig into her memory to find out where their rivalry started. Sadly, she couldn't remember.
Eric snorted unimpressed, "Dad's legacy."
Appearance aside, his rival was even inherited from his father's rival. What else would he inherit from his father? His right-hand man in the future?
'Just because of that?!'
Arion thought there was something bigger and serious going on between them before. It was not what he had expected.
Natalie chuckled resignedly, "Don't compete too much. Enjoy your time and play together."
She had given up on making them get along. At least their relationship wasn't too bad now. Even though they were rivals, they could still act like close friends sometimes.
Eric let out a long groan, "It can't be helped." He muttered resignedly. His mother was too stubborn.
"Take Rose too." Natalie reminded them, not wanting them to leave the little girl alone.
Hana pouted, "I always take her. But most of the time she refuses."
It wasn't that she gave up. It's just that she's tired of having her efforts rejected. If she continued to insist, wouldn't the atmosphere between them become uncomfortable?
"How about using Zane's charms?" Hana asked Eric. But he shook his head disapprovingly, making Hana tilt her head in confusion.
"That charm mostly affects girls who are flirtatious and talkative," Eric whispered in Hana's ear, but Natalie could still hear him.
"Eric." Natalie's rebuke was firm, but there was an amused tone to it. She understood what Eric meant. After all, Arsen used to have one. Something he hated so much that he almost blew them up with his lightning.
Natalie chuckled amusedly, "It's called a fan."
Arion thought of the obsessed girls in his class, 'If they're the same type, no wonder he hates them so much. They sound annoying.'
Eric scowled in annoyance, "I know that. But we didn't even do anything. We were just walking by and they started yelling loudly."
To be honest, their voices sometimes hurt his eardrums so much that he felt like he would go deaf.
Hana frowned and nodded, "I don't like them. Besides, it's not very graceful for girls."
It wasn't that she wasn't self-conscious. She sometimes didn't act like a noble girl either. But she was aware of the place and time to do so. Aren't they embarrassed to have their behavior noticed by so many people?
Natalie patted both of their heads sympathetically, "They're just in awe of you, dear."
"No need to shout," Eric grumbled unhappily. They were even a hundred times more annoying than Hana's loud voice. Even Noam's loud voices were much better than theirs.
Hana had a sad frown on her face, "I don't like it either when boys stare at me all the time. Their gaze makes me uncomfortable."
Honestly, that was one of the reasons why she disliked parties. The other noble children always looked at her closely. She knew why. Because she's the princess of a great kingdom.
They probably thought that if they could get close to her, or worse, marry her in the future, it meant that their family would have the king's full support.
That thinking always made Hana feel disgusted. They were still children! If the children were like that, what about the parents? They must be the ones who influence their own children.
Eric made a disgusted face, "That looks more like a stalker."
'Or a pervert.' Arion thought unhappily. In every world, there must be this kind of person. Well, although it's a bit inappropriate to call children perverts.
"I know I'm very beautiful. But there's no need to keep looking at me." Hana said confidently and a bit dramatically. She wanted to break the tense atmosphere.
Eric gave her a strange look, "Where does that confidence come from?"
"I am beautiful. Mom says I look like the sun." Hana replied confidently. Moreover, her golden hair and eyes strongly supported Natalie's statement.
"That means you're so flashy that it hurts my eyes," Eric replied with a mocking tone. After all, the sun is hot, which makes him overheat and sweat a lot.
Hana gave him a sharp look, "At least I'm not gloomy like you."
Eric grumbled disapprovingly, "Mom calls me like the moon."
Now it was Hana's turn to grin, "The moon is dark. Just like you."
To be honest, the moon is beautiful. It's just that she needs an excuse to get back at her twin brother. She'll apologize to the moon later!
"Kids." Natalie's rebuke instantly silenced both of them. They looked away from each other with frowns on their faces.
Arion looked at them awkwardly, 'They were getting along just a moment ago.'
"It's not good to insult each other, especially your own siblings. Besides, do you think Mom was lying?" Her question was met with frantic shaking from the twins.
"No way!"
Natalie smiled gently at them, "So what Mom said can't be wrong."
"Eric is like the moon that shines in the dark of the night and brings peace to people. Hana is like the sun that shines around her and gives her energy to them." Natalie explained with a soft smile.
The moon and the sun, different but complementary. She wanted her children to be like that.
Arion thought quietly, 'The sun and the moon, huh. It is indeed beautiful. Although the star remains my favorite.'
Natalie stroked their heads gently, "You are unique with your own characteristics. There is no need to insult each other. Besides, Mom doesn't like my baby insulting each other like that."
Both of them looked down feeling guilty, "Sorry Mom..."
"You know who you should apologize to, right?" This statement made them both look at each other and fall silent. Eric took the initiative and said it first.
"Sorry."
"Hana is sorry too."
Natalie smiled happily, "Very good."
She patted both of their heads happily. According to her, apologizing did not require long words. Just apologizing sincerely and feeling really guilty was enough.
Arion breathed a sigh of relief, 'It's finally over.' He thought tiredly. Even though he only paid attention to the two of them, it feels very tiring.
