Lu Shen drove in slowly into the parking lot of his mansion. He got out of the car with his heart pounding in his chest. What if she was gone? He couldn't help but think. He wouldn't be able to live with himself if that happened. Losing her a second time, no way he was going to let that happen. But what if? What would he even do then??
He walked absentmindedly past the security guard who bowed before him and then he stopped and turned back to him.
" Ahem!" He cleared his throat as he thought of what to say.
" Hello sir, is there anything I can help you with?"
" Yes… I… Do you by any chance know if… I mean, the lady that came in here earlier, did she… is she still in here?" Lu Shen stammered.
" Do you mean Madam Ah Cy?"
" Yes"
" No sir, I didn't see her leave. She's probably still inside"
He released a relieved breath he didn't know he was holding.
