His eyes shot open and the light hit hard that he shut his eyes back. When he opened them again, his vision slowly went from blury to clear. His brain began working and so did his body. The pain that shot through his head was unexplainable. His hands went to his head and he rubbed his temples fruitlessly. He tried to sit up and did with so much effort. Then his eyes fell on the unfamiliar environment he was in. Where was he?
Lu Shen had no idea where he was or what he was doing here? His head was pounding and there was pain in his legs searing through his bones. It made him want to lie down and not move. But Lu Shen being himself couldn't. He had never been one to stay down,hurt or not. So he looked around more and tried to remember where he was and how he got here. It worsened his pain but he persisted. For a very long time, his effort to recall everything was futile but then something in his brain finally clicked and he remembered. Or he thought he did!
