As we finished our food, we heard steps and not long after that Sheela appeared from behind the corner closely followed by Petra.
After we greeted each other shortly and Karla took all the stuff Petra was carrying into her ring girls started cleaning up our little campsite and packing everything into Karla's ring.
When I wanted to help, I was sent away so I decided to speak to Petra who was also excluded from cleanup by Brook and Karla.
"Petra sorry once again for the ruckus I have caused in the police station."
"It's fine. Guys explained everything to me. It was just a misunderstanding and for good of everybody nobody got hurt." Petra answered.
"May I ask you one thing? I was looking for a weapon store that was not looted you don't happen to know about one?" I asked back.
"Guys in the camp were complaining that they are not able to get into one few streets that way." She pointed in the opposite direction of the police station. "Do you wanna try your luck?"
"Can you please point me to it once we are done here?"
"Sure, no problem."
After this we just had the light chat while we waited for girls to pack up everything. It took about ten more minutes for them to be done and ready for our departure. I sat behind the wheel while Petra navigated me towards the weapon store in question. When we arrived there, I understood why cops were not able to get in.
It was relatively small one-story building. It had rather thick brick walls, reinforced steel doors and bulletproof glass. For a group that used guns as their pretty much only weapon this building was like unbreachable stronghold since they didn't have any special breaching equipment, being relatively small and peaceful precinct. Police here most of the time just handled some relatively minor thievery and minor driving offences before everything went to shit.
According to Petra for interventions that may need equipment like that they reported to the bigger station that was to the south of here. They had system that every bigger police station that had equipment and squads to handle interventions like this there was bunch of smaller stations around it that handled smaller stuff. It helped balance the workload and enabled better specialization in the field of work hence more effective training of officers.
As we got out of the car I looked towards Karla and spoke.
"Karla could you please open the for us?"
"Sure thing Vic." She responded with a smile.
After that she prepared stepped close to the door prepared her axe and started swinging. Door pretty much had no chance before her strength and her strong axe. After that she just kicked the half-demolished door that was cut everywhere with her axe and the once mighty reinforced door just fell to the ground.
Once that was done, we entered the shop and quickly stuffed everything into Karla's storage ring. It took us about 15 minutes to complete this task and once done we went back to our car.
As I was about to sit behind the wheel, Karla spoke.
"Vic, can I drive?"
"Can I sit next to her?" Petra spoke right after her.
I smiled and stepped back from a car.
"Go ahead sit wherever you like I will go in last."
Karla and Petra sat in the front row of the vehicle. In the middle row was Brook and Jessica and last row was for now occupied by just Yuki. I decided to go sit next to Yuki so she has somebody to chat with.
Shortly after that we hit the road towards Phoenix. Everybody was in good mood happily chatting, here and there we ran across some ghouls and every time somebody from us just got out of the car to clear them out.
After few hours of this routine Yuki surprised me by what she told me.
"Vic, can I help with fighting?"
"You want to fight Yuki?" I asked
"Yes, I want to help." She spoke while sticking up her chest and proudly nodding.
I chuckled at her antics and spoke further. "Could you please tell me what class you have now? And what color is the border around it"
"It's Called Lunar wolfkin. And the border is prismatic."
"Good. What are your stats please? Do you have any stat points you can distribute? Do you have any skills or traits?" I asked further.
"My stats went all to 10 but I have bunch of unspent points. I have one trait and one skill."
"Could you please tell me what your trait does?"
"It's called Lunar blessing; it states that when it comes to calculating my accuracy and damage with ranged weapons my agility is always equal to my magic." She answered.
"That sounds awesome. Could please now tell me what your skill does?"
"It's called Moonlight, it is a group wide buff that increases any damage of everybody designated by me by 10% + 1% per 20 magic. It consumes 10 mana per second while it is active."
"You have very good skill and trait. And also have very powerful class. Both your skill and trait are geared towards magic stat. So, if you are going to be spending your points most of the points should go there. But you should also invest some points in constitution so you can survive easier and despite not needing it form ranged weapons also agility since it will help you move faster and react faster. "
She nodded with a smile. "How about 3 in magic and one in other two sounds?"
I nodded. "Sounds good. Let me pick some gear for you?"
"Could I try to use some of those guns you picked up from the shops? They looked interesting." She asked while looking at me with puppy eyes.
"Sure, no problem. You can. Once we leave the city, we can try to find a place to practice with them."
We chatted for while the car slowly heading across the LA towards the exit from the city that would lead us towards our next destination Phoenix.
