Axilla and Kayla finally arrived at the merchant inn; it was already evening. They unpacked what they had bought from the market. Axilla decided to make juice for Cortez and serve it to him for dinner. When she was through, she placed the cup of juice on a tray and added two sticks of the milkbun rolls.
When she knocked on Cortez's door, it took him a little while before he finally opened the door. He was surprised to see the girl in front of his door, carrying a tray of snacks.
Cortez grinned, "I thought you were avoiding me." He moved to the side, giving her access inside the room.
Axilla inhaled softly before stepping inside the room, then she said. "I wasn't avoiding you." She replied.
"If you say so," Cortez remarked, going to sit comfortably on his couch, with one leg crossed over the other.
