Axilla tried so much to shake off the memory of what happened in the bath but she couldn't. It wasn't for long, but she felt Cortez's hands touch the bare skin of her chest, and this memory caused an erratic sensation to run down her spine, making her legs curl.
"I won't survive this night if it continues like this," Axilla muttered under her breath. When she heard movement from the bath indicating that Cortez was done, she quickly packed her hair and disappeared from the room.
Cortez heard the door close, and he knew Axilla had left the room. He removed his wet clothes and changed into something better, after which he walked down to the dining table.
Axilla was on her way to the dining when she met with the host. It was Crown Prince Adric talking with his bride-to-be. The man turned when he noticed someone's presence.
