Kitanna strolled to the isolated quarters, carrying the soup like a trophy. She was feeling accomplished and proud of herself. When she got to the door, she used her back to push the door then she entered inside.
But Nix wasn't alone, his back was facing her, as he signed the parchments Chantal handed over to him. As if noticing her presence, his blue eyes turned to look at her, it flashed first with surprise, then amusement.
Chantal followed Nix's eyes, and he noticed the princess standing in front of the door, carrying something. He dropped the parchments immediately and rushed to help his fair lady.
"Let me help you with that Princess" Chantal bowed, before he looked at the princess closely to see how she looked, like she escaped a fire outbreak after rolling herself on mud.
